What I Have Learned from The Grade 2 Writing Course
What I have learned from Lexicology

What I have learned from Lexicology There is an added course--Modern English Lexicology this term . At the beginning of seeing this book , I think that it is just a course which relates to English words and what I should do is memorize all the English words in this book . However , after severals classes , I found that it is not just a matter of memorizing English words , it also consists of many theories about Lexicology such as opaque words , transparent words , affixation , conversion ,blending and so on .As far as I am concerned , although this course is a little bit boring because of lots of theories , if we can try our best to learn and master these theories and apply to our English studies , there is no doubt that it is beneficial for us to acquire more English words and improve our English ability . From this course , I have learned many knowledges . I know that how to enlarge my vocabulary by using affixation , conversion , composition and so on . What’s more , I know that how to use English words exactly because of semantic classification of words . Furthermore , in the process of learning Lexicology , I am deeply aware of my own problem in learning English existing all the time . I realize that it is important for me to try my best to improve the ability of learning English rather than read and learn the knowledges about English books . As is known to us , knowledge starts with practice , we should apply what we have learned to our daily life .。
what I have learned from the story

what I have learned from the storyBefore watching this movie, I have so many questions about life. "What have we lived for? What is the most important thing in our life? Facing unexpected death, what should we do? How to treat the value of money and time? "But now an old man, a young man, has taught me the life's greatest lesson---what the true meaning of life is.Knowing he was terminally ill, he had never despaired. On the contrary, positive was he, he taught us that once you learn how to die, you learn how to live. We should pack on our trip in the lifetime, including love, work, forgiveness, kinship and so on. Every Tuesday, Mitch went to Morrie's home and told about his experiences. It's not just a recount, but a communication between two friends. Morrie using the simplest words helped Mitch knew the real life he wanted! This movie is a magical chronicle of their time together, through which Mitch shares Morrie's lasting gift with the world. We can't predict the future, but we can seize the day. Although every person's life has a limitation, we can do something meaningful in limited time. Help others, love others, warm others. Just as Morrie said, love is an eternal theme.Love is the only rational act. Of course, not only learn how to love, but also learn how to receive love. Just keep perseverance in those things we think worth doing, and try to give up those valueless stuffs. When it comes to death, maybe we hardly think of it and even not to think.Morrie said: have a little bird on your shoulder and ask, is today the day I am gonna die? Am I ready? Am I being the person I want to be? Death isn't a big matter, the importance of it is what you left after your death. You should leave something to prove that you didn't live your life in vain, it's worthful. Of course, Morrie didn't want to die, but it is not what he can control, so he chose to calm his fears. Not like some other people, giving up the rest of the life, or spending much money merely for prolonging several minutes of life span. Life is not necessarily long, instead, strive for leaving a happy impression for world. Even in the last minutes of his life, he kept his sense of humor. Dying is just one thing to be sad about, living unhappily is another matter. We are almost brainwashed by the more the better. Fame, gain, right, money, ambition we bury ourselves in these things. One person must know what he really needs, what he really wants and not being guided to the wrong direction by the society. In the end you will find that, there are few essential things, but the snowball of lust gathers as it goes on. The things you spent too much time, might not seem so important, you might have left a room for some spiritual things. The true happiness wasn't brought merely by material wealth.。
whatihavelearnedfrommyyearsatuniversity

What I Have Learned from My Years at University "I have a dream. I want to go to college to learn what I want."I said to myself when I was a little girl .Now , I have realized my dream , but I want to ask one question : What I have learned from my years at university University life is one of the most important parts in my life .I have learned the professional skill for my future job , have learned how to develop my self-confidence and how to communicate with others. Three years ago ,I had chosen English as my major . It seems to be a key to open the door of my future . But the more I learn the English ,the less passion I have . Sometimes , I find it is very hard for me ,because I don't like it .However, I still try my best to learn more and try to pass the TEM-4. I hope I can get good grades . Then, I have learned how to develop my self-confidence. I believe God is equal to everyone and everybody has his own gift. We should find out and improve like dance , I felt full of passion when I stood at the stage . So many people look at me during the show .they expect my dance ,and the sound of clapping can make me feel happy . At the time ,I recovered my self-confidence . Expect that , I have learned how to communicate with others . This is an important skill not only influence my friendship but also in any aspect of my life.I chose to join the student union . Thus it is unavoidable to contact with different kinds of people, such as different majors of students ,teachers ,businessman and the like. How to convey the information and make friends with them during the time is what I am trying to improve .Based on the above viewpoint , it is not hard to know what I have learned or trying to learn . I think everyone has learned different things during their college life, but for me, the three points are my biggest harvest. Learn more English ,to be more self-confidence and trying to communicate with others fluently. Live and learn!。

What I Have Learned from My Years at University

What I Have Learned From My Years at UniversityThe development of an individual human existence can be divided into several important stages. But no period can be more influential upon the later course of our life than the years we have experienced in college. Here is the cradle of intelligentsia with vision, mission and passion. And now, as I am ready to leave campus and face the real world, I dare say that no other place can teach me more.I am very proud that in university I have learnt how important it is for one to have vision, that ability to see ahead of time and possibly others. College has raised me up, so that I could enjoy a broader view of the world. University Library, the sanctuary of mind always keeps me in a close touch with the great thoughts of giants, Shakespeare, Russell, Churchill, Roosevelt, to name only a few. All these overwhelmingly famous names have turned familiar and friendly here. These great minds teach me how to live a meaningful life. They warn me that the last but greatest enemy for mankind is human existence itself. Their words of wisdom shall guide and guard me to overcome all the obstacles beset in the course of my life. Inthe light of this statement, I have to say that college years have brightened up my vision. It is at university that I have acquired an added understanding of the meaning of mission i.e. man should have shoulders strong enough to take more responsibilities of the time. College has enriched me, so that I, to some extent, have discovered the truth to live by. When I was a sophomore, I was chosen a volunteer for the Red Cross Institution. My job, then, was to assist the doctor with the blood collecting in a blood donation car on the street. Those days bestowed me with a moving but a little bit singular picture, in which the painful injection and hearty smile are perfectly and beautifully combined. Every parcel of blood means a piece of hope, through which I see that the possession of life lies in sharing. This is how college years has defined my mission. It is after some years at university that I have better apprehended Tonybee when he said, “Glory belongs to those who are actually in the arena, fighting passionately whilst showing every now and then mistakes or shortcomings.” I have understood the spirit of t ranscendingmyself, sometimes even in a crazy way. If youth is the freshness of the deep springs of life, then college must be the fountain of passion. It cheers in the chaos of gym; it hides in the silence of lab. During the college years, I never stopped pursuing my own dream, because I never fail to be inspired by the flowing current of young passion.Lawrence H. Summers, former President of Harvard said in his farewell speech, “College graduates, capable of deep reflections are what the world needs.” Li ving in a world of madding crowd, a group, or even a small group of people are expected to remain transcendental and sober. If any can live up to so high a standard of existence, college graduates can. And I am fortunate in being among them at this moment and having spared little time cultivating my vision, mission and passion in the past four years. With these, I have better courage to change myself and most probably better preparation for my future.评语:这是一篇上乘的专八满分作文。

Team3:Charlotte Student Number:26 What I Have Learned from The Grade 2 Writing Course
The writing course is novel for me on the grounds that I do not have a writing course before and the course is really different from the other courses. I have learned a lot of things in the course of learning writing, which is beneficial to both study and life. Firstly, to write a good composition, the brainstorm is of vital importance. To say the truth, when the first time my writing course teacher Mr.Lee let me write down the brainstorm, I felt very strange. But later, I recognized that it is very useful because the structure of my composition is more clear and I know what I am writing. Now I make it a rule to put down brainstorm before writing.
Secondly, the meaning of writing is to express myself and my idea. I need to change my learning methods. I used to recite good compositions and sentences, which is in the wrong because I can not put I have recited to use for the compositions I written. What is worse, I did not have my own ideas and my thinking was limited on condition that I always bear the good compositions and sentences in mind. So I should read I wide range of books, papers and magazines to learn hoe to think. Another problem is that my learning materials were finite because I just read the text books. I rarely went to the library to find the English materials. Now, I realize the mistake. If i just read
text books, I would be ignorant of what is happening outside and the other files, which is no good to writing. Therefore, I should make the most of the library, read more and learn more.
Thirdly, good basic English is essential to composition. From the writing course, I knew that I really good at nothing: lack of vocabulary, having a little Chinglish in my expression and being poor at grammar. But I am very willing to make efforts to learn. I regretted idling away lots of time. It is no use complaining about my poor basic English. But I think it is not late for me to study hard now. I should do my utmost to strengthen my poor basic English, vocabulary in particular. As for me, learning grammar is nothing less than a torment. In respect of grammar, I realized that it is wrong to learn grammar just from the grammar book. I should learn grammar from speaking and reading. So i have to speak more English in my daily life and read widely.
At last, I want to thank my writing course teacher Mr.Lee. He let me know the truth that my writing is bad and my basic English is poor. In sum, I have learned the use of brainstorm, the meaning of writing and my poor basic English from the grade 2 writing course.
