英语专业学生对于未来的一些想法
“英语专业找工作”几乎是每个英语专业的同学都心知肚明的
事情，而且也像不能去除的魔咒。你可以说它就业面广，因为现在英语太普及了，英语都是必要的条件。你也可以说它几乎不能就业，因为语言就是一种工具，工作是谋生，要求的是能力；去做翻译，有更专业的翻译专业；去做口译，有更专业的口译专业；去做英语老师，也有师范院校……更何况是我们这种不上不下的非211非985的院校，更何况是我们这些初出茅庐的刚获得学士学位的大学生。我现在大二，再过两年也许要走入社会、也许要深入研究。
我认真考虑过了：我是英语专业（一次次点明我是学英语的就
是为了让自己认清现状），如果要深入研究，基本上应该将来都是搞学术的了。我现在所能想到的是，医生研究生比较管用，因为你学的越多，掌握得越多，将来的实践更有把握，是很有用的；那些理工类的专业也可以考研，将来就是搞科研，甚至科学家……但是，如果我一个学语言的，毫无基础地去学习，难度一定很大，而且也不一定课程能跟得上。如果我要考研，就要考虑什么文学、语言、国际关系之类的；但是，我知道我是不甘于在一个学校里埋头苦干的，所以，毕业就工作也许更适合我。换一种方式来分析，社会和学校不同，在社会当中重要的是实践能力和沟通能力等等，虽然在学校也能培养，但是由于对象都是像我一样单纯的大学生，在一定层次上还是不同的。所以，我想先出去看看，如果有必要，再继续进修。
但是，就像刚开始讲的，英语专业并不容易找工作。因为男朋友在郑州上班，将来势必要在郑州安家的。虽然郑州并不像北上广一样繁华，充满着各种各样的梦想，但它毕竟是我们河南省的省会，不乏许多人才；我，能依靠什么在哪里有一寸立足之地？所以，我想多学一门专业，让自己有更多的资本去和别人竞争。因为对传媒感兴趣，但是本身并不是艺术生，对一些基本的知识并不了解，所以就选择了广告学专业。具体情况我也问了一些人，问清了一些情况。比如说，如果踏实肯干，进4A公司还是可以的；比如，加班现象比较严重，身体可能吃不消；比如，就业面还是比较广的，很多私企都会招收，就像策划部等。综合一下，感觉它能带给我的东西更多，而且目前为止，我还是蛮有兴趣的，所以就试试吧。
我现在大二，现在报名就是大三才能开上课，时间可能会有点问题，但是，只要开始了就不晚吧。这件事情，我没有和家人商量，因为这所大学这个专业都是他们选的，我想自己做一次主；所以，我就借了男朋友三千，再加上自己的钱，今天上午交上了。交完了以后是什么感觉呢？说不出来，就像自己的将来已经被自己限定了，就像我的银行卡刷下去的那刹那，我的未来已经有了雏形，我看到了希望。既然选择了，就不能半途而废，坚持下去，无论多么艰难。加油！
