It has passed nearly three years now ,but I was deeply attracted by this film , I suddenly want to see this film once again a few days ago , to listen the older tell her stories again.The film adopts flashback style, at the beginning, an old and sorrow voice appers,she is the heroine, begins tell her sotries as a geisha, the background turns gray with endless hills, the surroundings feels gloomy.“A story like mine should never be told. for my world is as forbidden as it is fragile, without its mysteries, it cannot survive. I certainly wasn’t bornto the life of a geisha, like so much strange in my life, I was carried there by the current. The first time I knew my mother was sick was when my father threw the fish back into the sea. That night we went hungry, ‘to understand emptiness,’ he toldus. Mother always said my sister Satsu was like wood, as rooted to the earth as a sakura tree. But she told me I was like water, water can carve its way, even through stone. And when trapped, water makes a new path.This narrate leaves me deeply impression, the whole picture gives us a feeling of the beauty of miserableness. The plot I appreciate it so much. With the train leaves Yoroido, little chiyo began her unkindess career.The heroine’s childhood acter is also a focal point in this film, she is Suzuka Ohgo, Japanese famous child star. At the first glimpse, I was fascinated by the eyes the color of rain, as the novel memtioned, sayuri becomes famous geisha at last due to her different beautiful gray eyes. Little chiyo’s part take possessionof the movie about forty minutes, the most moving plot is that the chairman bought little chiyo a ice-cream, chiyo smear the red jelly to her lips, some book says this motion signifies the conscious of a woman gets arousal. And impels chiyo loves the chairman incurable. The chairman gives the left money to little chiyo, these money can afford fish and meat for a month as to the chiyo,and we can know from the film, little chiyo put in these money into the pledge box in the temple,and make a vow to meet the chairman once again. The the scene turn into the sky, sayuri’s childhoodcomes to an end.Her eyes like blue lake which involves clear and passion, contains innumerable words,and slip from memory. This role asher first play gives us a deeply inpression, we can feel clearly that the nervous and grieve in her heart as to she separate to her parents with a thread of wish in her little world.The most inpression is that she turns sadness into joyful,and run to the dreams of hers .Let me tell my point of view about three chinesse actress . Performanced by Ziqiong Yang, Mameha is my favourite role,she’s get wisdom, pretty, kindess,andmost ,the elegant temperament. And we are used to see Ziqiong Yang’s action movie,and in this film she change her style, and we can see her movie in a new light, anew challenge in her career. As to Ziyi Zhang, she plays a typical orient girl with demure, innocent,and a adamant personality. She is similarity to Ziqiong Yang, you see her previously film, especially in the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, which win th Oscar Price, have you remember the heroine yujiaolong, a very demand,spiteful, unscrupulous girl,and finally dead for the eternal love. And this time she also changge her style,and show us a new Ziyi Zhang. Let’s turn to Li Gong, her part inthis film is short , and Hatsumomo is a side example, Li Gong played this figure most beautifully described, which is envious, ficece.The last plot in the film, little chiyo is grow up ,and she finally meet the chairman again, that I always remember, with petals falling in riotous profusion, sayuri turn to the chairman that she loves in heryoung ages, and sayi ng enamoured of, “Can’t you see, every step I have taken, since I was that child on the bridge,has been to bring myself closer to you.” The little gitl on the beidge,she’s petite and dainty, with her crystalline and sparkling, just like thebrilliant smile on the bridge to have tender affection for. Her eyes is a riddle. Even she grow up, we’ll not forget the pellucid and meaningful in her eyes.
