本文介绍美国EXAR 公司最新推出的高解析力BBE 芯片––––XR1075。

XR1075 是该公司在XR1071 的基础上,采用新的双极性技术,使其芯片的噪声系数更低、总谐波失真更小,而且芯片的体积更小(双列直插18脚封装),外围元件进一步简化,高低频延伸特别性更优,高频解析力(分辩率)增强调节范围和低频补偿调节范围均比XR1071 更宽,关于XR1071 的详细文章见《家庭电子》1999 年第9 期第3 8 页。

XR1075 的工作电压最低为6V,典型值为12V,工作电流15mA,高频解析力增强调节范围-0.5~+13dB,低频补偿调节范围-0.5~+13dB,高低频补偿调节范围分别通过改变4(16)、5(15)脚的输入电平而控制。

XR1075 的内部有两个声道相同的BBE 处理专利电路,每个声道的信号处理流程原理框图见图1。

XR1075 的各脚功能如下:3 脚和17 脚是左右声道信号输入端,9 脚和11 脚是左右声道信号输出端,10 脚是电源输入端,1 脚是电源地,18 脚是BBE 处理与直通选择开关控制端(接地时为BBE 处理),2 脚为参考电压输出端、用于输出给4(16)、5(15)脚进行高低频补偿的调节之用。

6(14)脚是低通滤波器端,7(13)脚是高通滤波器端。

图2 是笔者设计的XR1075 的完整应用电路图,可用于加装入音响中进行升级,也可找个小机壳。

购买好音质MP3 必须要了解的五大音效各位音质发烧友对BBE、SRS HD、FullSound、DNSe等音效肯定都不陌生,但也有部分朋友只是热衷于其中的某一个音效,或者只喜欢某个品牌产品的音质,而对其他的了解并不多。

该音效常见于使用Sigmatel芯片的产品,例如iriver E30、iriver E200以及国内的OPPO D37H、歌美M33等等。

BBE音效韩国厂商iAUDIO是将BBE音效运用的炉火纯青的一个典型代表,旗下的MP3产品音质备受好评,不时被冠以“音质神器”的美誉,仅在09年就推出了iAUDIO E2、iAUDIO 9两款定位不同的出色高音质作品。

设计音响电路当然是电子工程师的事,不过如果电子工程师不学一点声学知识的话,设计出来的东西就只能叫作机器而不是音响。

虽然大多数音响器材厂家常常吹嘘他们对音乐的理解是多么的深刻,但你大可不必太当真。

下面介绍的卡拉OK人声增效电路,是笔者小小的得意之作。

当年笔者曾经在一家知名的音响器材厂家做设计,在一款入门级的卡拉OK功放机设计中,笔者将这个电路接在了话筒放大电路后面,结果这款机的卡拉OK演唱效果超过了同厂的高档机,令哪些资深的工程师和老板都感到惊讶,其中的奥秘在当时可是不传之密哦。

电路很简单,两个结构相同的滤波器,一个将150Hz处的频率提升,使人声变得丰满,中气十足,一个将2400Hz处的频率提升,使人声变得明亮,齿音也得到了很好的表现。

效果的提升是基于声学知识中声波的音感分析原理,电路则是实现的手段。

JetEffect 5.0之BBE(⾳效基本算法)在Normal⾳效的基础上,将BBE+⾳效中的BBE选项打开,BBE⾳效共有10级调整,这种⾳效是⼀种纠正相位失真的⼀种⾳效。

简单的说,⾳频信号在经过诸多电路单元到达输出设备上的过程中,⾼频信号往往较晚传达⾄听众的⽿朵⾥,信号频率越⾼,滞后的时间也就越⼤,因此对⾳乐清晰度的听感会产⽣⼀定影响。

BBE就是纠正这种相位差的⼀种⾳效,它会针对信号的频率状态,将原来滞后的⾳频信号拉到原始位置上,使原有的声⾳效果更加接近于初始状态。

所以经过BBE处理的⾳频信号,会⽐没有经过BBE⾳效处理的⾳频信号更加清晰。

JetEffect 5.0之BBE VIVA、BBE VIVA2 (BBE的3D效果)BBE VIVA是在BBE纠正了相位失真基础上,对于声位准确度调整的⼀种⾳效。

简单讲,这种⾳效增加了⾳频本⾝的宽度,深度和⾼度。

比较全面的音效概述--均衡器EQ的解释(发现还是有很多人不懂)音效概述音效是指为增进一场面之真实感、气氛或戏剧讯息,而加于声带上的杂音或声音。

简单地说,音效就是指由声音所制造的效果。

所谓的声音则包括了乐音、及效果音。

数字音效数字音效简称EQ模式,即MP3不同的声音播放效果,不同的EQ模式带给听使用者不同的声音播放效果,同时EQ模式也是最能突出个人个性的地方,给使用者带来更多的音乐享受。

目前的MP3的数字音效模式一般为六种,分加是CLASSIC(古典音乐模式)、POP(流行音乐模式)、JAZZ(爵士乐模式)、ROCK(摇滚乐模式)、NOMAL(普通模式)和AUTO(自动改变模式)。

当然在选购MP3时并不代有数字音效模式越多越好,做到实用为最好。

环境音效主要是指通过数字音效处理器对声音进行处理,使声音听起来带有不同的空间特性,比如大厅、歌剧院、影院、溶洞、体育场等。

环境音效主要是通过对声音进行环境过滤、环境移位、环境反射、环境过渡等处理,使听音者感到仿佛置身于不同环境中。

这种音效处理在计算机声卡上应用非常普遍,现在在组合音响方面应用也逐渐多起来。

环境音效也有其缺点,由于对声音处理时难免会损失部分声音信息,并且现在能模拟出的效果和真实环境还有一定差距,因此有人会感到声音比较“虚假”。

MP3音效:普通音效如何使用均衡器来获得更好的声音表现,是每一个 MP3 爱好者的必修课。

不同的 MP3 的均衡器设置也不尽相同,如 IRIVER 和 IAUDIO 的均衡器虽然都是分为五级,但频段划分和调节级别也各不相同, iRiver 的 XtremeEQ 分为五段: 50Hz 档, 200Hz 档, 1KHz 档, 3KHz 档, 14KHz 档,每段有 10 级调节: -15dB , -12 dB , -9 dB ,-6 dB , -3 dB , 0 dB , +3 dB , +6 dB , +9 dB , +12 dB , +15 dB 。

几种高品质音调电路功放系统中无论是低档还是高档机,除了音量控制外都有音调控制电路,在一些低档机厂家为节省成本,其音调部分仅采用阻容式,当音调调节时往往使得高低音相互干扰,而且缺乏力度和清晰感,听起来非常浑浊杂乱,听久了令人烦燥不安,这些机子弃之又觉浪费,但用之又不满意,如果有动手能力的话,很有必要花几十元对其动动手术(摩机)–––––制作一款高品质的音调板来替换原机音调部分。

下面就向广大发烧友介绍几款品质极佳的音调电路供爱好者选择。

其中以 LM4610N、LM1036N最佳,LM4610N是在LM1036N的基础上增加了3D音场效果处理功能的新一代发烧精品,笔者建议首选LM4610N。

图1是由2块NE5532N组成的高中低音音调及音量控制电路(图中仅画一声道,另一声道完全一样),原理为:信号经IC1(作缓冲放大及隔离作用,避免负载与信号源之间的影响)进入由电阻电容组成的三个频率均衡网络,即高音、中音、低音的频率,当调节RP1–––RP3相应的低中高频就会相应地进入由IC2及其反馈电路组成的反相放大器电路,调节RP1–––RP3就是提升或衰减了高中低音,从而实现了音频调节作用。

需要说明一点是所采用的NE5532N必须是正宗品,如美国大S的、飞利浦的,这样才使行本电路的信噪比、动态范围、瞬态响应和控制效果均达到相当高水准。

(欲获更高的水准NE5532N 可换为NE5535N、OP275、AD827JN等精品运放,当然价格就高一点了)。

图2是采用二阶RC有源二分频电路,该电路由2块NE5532N构成(图中仅画一声道,另一声道相同),图中IC1A与IC1B分别组成低通与高通滤波器,完成音频信号的分割,再分别送到高低音音量控制电位器再分别进入高低音功放电路去推动高音喇叭和低音喇叭。

利用该电路的缺点是要多增加一对功板电路及增多一组接线柱。

相对来说需要多花点钱,但采用前级分频的优点却是非常明显的:①改善了低音音质;②兼顾了高低音扬声器的发声效率;③解决了以住电路中高低音扬声器联接时存在的阻抗不匹配问题;④音调调节的动态范围明显变大。

These difficulties cause such major phase and amplitude distortion that the sound reproduced by speaker differs significantly from the sound produced by the original source.In the past, these problems proved unsolvable and were thus delegated to a position of secondary importance in audio system design. However, phase and amplitude integrity is essential to accurate sound reproduction. These relationships define a sound's “sound”.When these complex relationships pass through a speaker, the proper order is lost. The higher frequencies are delayed.A lower frequency may reach the listener's ear first or perhaps simultaneously with that of a higher frequency. The Lo Contour control is for adjusting the level of phase corrected low frequencies in the program material. Plugging a guitar or other high impedance device directly into the BBE 362XL will not work properly as its input impedance is less than 50K ohms.Set-UpThe BBE 362XL is connected into the chain in series with the signal path the same way a graphic equalizer or limiter would be connected. The output of a mixer, pre-amp, or other sound source feeds the input of the BBE 362XL. Setting up the BBE 362XL as an echo send device like a digital reverb is not recommended as the processed effect is not fully realized when summed with the original source audio.APPLICATIONSMusic and P.A. SystemsThe BBE 362XL is a welcome addition to any live sound P.A. system because the BBE circuit dramatically improves the clarity and intelligibility of vocals and musical instruments. Night club and mobile DJ systems will also benefit greatly from the BBE Process, with more depth, detail and punch over the entire mix. The 362XL can be hooked up to any P.A. or DJ sound system exactly like an equalizer would. When using in conjunction with an equalizer, the 362XL should be added after the equalizer in the signal chain. In the event that the equalizer is being used for drastic tone alteration, then insert the 362XL before the equalizer in the signal chain. Placement either before or after an equalizer should have no negative effect on the 362XL unit or its processing ability, however most users find they prefer more modest use of their equalizers once the BBE 362XL has been added to their sound systems.Instrument RacksThe BBE 362XL will deliver surprisingly good results in guitar, bass and keyboard rack systems. The inherent phase shift of the BBE Process will cause phase cancellation resulting in a partial loss of signal.BBE and EqualizationThe most common question asked of the BBE Sound, Inc. service department is: “Where does the BBE Processor connect in the signal chain, before or after the equalizer?” Many people find that the same amount of equalization is no longer needed, if at all, when a BBE processor is used. Additionally, the amount of equalization used will help determine the BBE 362XL’s proper location in the signal chain: If the EQ is being set to give the room a flat response as determined by a spectrum analyzer, the BBE 362XL will work properly before or after the EQ. (Placing the BBE 362XL after the EQ is recommended.) If the EQ is being used for drastic tone alteration, the recommended placement would be before the EQ. Neither of these configurations will harm the BBE 362XL.4Service We recommend that if at all possible, a BBE 362XL which requires service be sent to our facility in Huntington Beach, California. We request that a “RETURN AUTHORIZATION” be issued by the dealer from whom you purchased the unit.If this is not possible, call BBE Sound, Inc. directly at (714) 897-6766, extension 116 to obtain a “RETURN AUTHORIZATION”. Include a copy of the bill of sale with the unit when it is shipped to BBE Sound, Inc. so that the service can be expedited.As the repair turnaround time is minimal, we request that the unit be sent to BBE Sound, Inc. We also need to add reliability data to our files so that future revision may be undertaken, if necessary, to improve the product. If unit has been purchased outside the US, please contact your national distributor.Warranty Warranty registration of the unit to BBE Sound, Inc. is not necessary. DO NOT RETURN ANY P RODUCT TO THE ABOVE ADDRESS WITHOUT INSTRUCTIONS AND AUTHORIZATION ISSUED BY THE ABOVE LOCATION.Maintenance Maintenance of the BBE 362XL is limited to proper cleaning of the unit with mild household cleaner such as Formula 409™ or Windex™. The chassis and cover are steel finished with a durable polyurethane paint, while the front panelis an anodized aluminum extrusion.There are no user replaceable parts and the unit should not be opened for any reason unless you are a qualified technician. Calibration should be performed if parts are replaced or if a performance check-out indicates a problem with calibration. Long term use has shown that over the life of this unit there is little or no drift of the componentsin the BBE 362XL which would cause a change in calibration. A very conservative design philosophy has resulted in a piece of equipment which runs very cool and should give years of trouble-free service.5LIVE APPLICATION: POWERED MIXER6There are a couple of ways to configure the BBE 362XL into a powered mixer. The ideal method would be into “Pre-Amp Out/Power Amp In” section of the console. If your console does nothave this option, use the main or channel insert points.LIVE APPLICATION: NON-POWERED MIXER7Connect the BBE 362XL to the output of the mixing console. The output of the BBE will drive either a crossover or a power amplifier directly.RECORDINGThe BBE 362XL can be utilized in the recording studio on individual instruments of on groups on instruments to improve the sound quality.MASTERING OR DUBBINGUse the BBE 362XL for mastering the recording. Even if the BBE Process has been used on individual tracks, an improvement on the total mix will be noticed.89INDIVIDUAL INSTRUMENTSUse the BBE 362XL in the effects loop or the main output of a guitar preamp. For keyboards, theoutput of the sub-mixer will be the ideal location.SOUND CONTRACTORSThe BBE 362XL will accept the output level of most sound contractor type mixers.DJ APPLICATIONConnect the BBE 362XL into the processor loop of a pre-amplifier/mixer and hear the music come alive! 10Calibration Procedure for the BBE 362XL (REV/S/ON 1.1)NOTE: THIS UNIT W AS TESTED AND CALIBRATED AT THE FACTORY.THIS PROCEDURE IS FOR QUALIFIED PERSONNEL ONLY.INITIAL SETTINGS:1. BBE Process control VR2 and Lo Contour control VR1, threshold control VR3, and release control VR4 to minimum(fully C.C.W.).2. Power switch on and BBE function switch in, (BBE on position). Note: Since both channels are identical in calibration, only channel A will be outlined. Channel B will be in brackets [ ]. The signal will be input into the corresponding channel connector marked as 1 /4” phone jack TRS. The output will be monitored at the corresponding channel marked as 1/4”phone jack TRS.POWER SUPPLY TEST:1. With your DVM set to D.C. volts, measure the positive end of C35. You should read less than +26vdc2. With your DVM set to D.C. volts, measure the negative end of C39. You should read less than -26vdc.3. Measure the D.C. voltage on Jmp27. Reading should be +12vdc, (+/-0.8vdc).4. Measure the D.C. voltage on Jmp22. Reading should be -12vdc, (+/-0.8vdc).BBE PROCESS TEST:1. Input a 5khz signal ~ -lOdBu into channel A [B] input.2. Measure the channel A [B] output with a DVM set to A.C. volts.3 With the Process control at minimum, (fully C.C.W.), DVM should read -10.5dBu, (+/-0.5dBu).4. With the Process control at maximum, (fully C.W.), DVM should read -1.5dBu, (+/-0.5dBu).LO CONTOUR TEST:1. Input a 50hz signal ~ -l0dBu into channel A [B] input.2. Measure the channel A [B] output with a DVM set to A.C. volts.3. With the Lo Contour control at minimum, (fully C.C.W.), DVM should read -9.5dBu, (+/-0.5dBu).4. With the Lo Contour control at maximum, (fully C.W.), DVM should read -1.5dBu, (+/-0.5dBu).BYPASS TEST: (NOTE: Lo Contour and Process controls at maximum)1. Input a 500hz signal ~ -l0dBu into channel A [B] input.2. Measure the channel A [B] output with a DVM set to A.C. volts.3. With the Process in, the DVM should read -12dBu (+/-0.5dBu) and the process LED should illuminate green4. With the Process out, the DVM should read -10.5dBu (+/-0.5dBu) and the process LED should illuminate red.CLIP INDICATOR TEST:1. Input a 500hz signal ~ +19dBu into the channel A [B] input.2. Verify that the clip LED is on.3. Change signal level to +16dBu and verify that the clip LED turns off.Note: When both channels are driven, the clip indicator will turn on at +15dBu.XLR BALANCED TEST:Note: Remove all 1/4” phone plugs from output jacks.2. Input a 500hz signal ~ -l0dBu into the channel A [B] input. Using your DVM, measure the A.C. voltage of channel A [B] output across pin 2 and pin 3 of the channel XLR jack. ( Note: connect the Black lead of the DVM to pin 3 and the Red lead of the DVM to pin 2).3. XR1071是美国EXAR公司推出的高分辨率BBE音效增强处理电路,其性能与BA3884相似,同样有低频补偿提升功能和高频分辨率提升调节功能,适合和各种音响系统相匹配,而且XR1071的性能参数指标高于BA3884。

XR1071采用双极性器件集成,其噪声极低,总谐波失真小,分辨率高,高频解析力(分辨率)及低频补偿提升调节范围大:高频解析力(分辨率)提升范围为0d B-9.7dB(通过调节17脚的电位器来改变17脚的直流电平来控制);低频补偿提升调节范围为0d B~9.9bB(通过调节12、13脚、20、21脚的外接电位器阻值来调节)。

图3是XR1071的应用电路图,2脚为负电源输入端(-5V),31脚为正电源输入端(+5V),16脚为BBE旁路控制输入端(高电平时为直通,空置时为BBE处理),17脚为分辨率控制输入端(通过电位器调节输入电平的大小而控制高频段幅度补偿量的大小),6脚为左声道信号输入端,27脚为右声道信号输入
端,15脚为左声道信号输出端,18脚为右声道信号输出端。

BBE2150、BA3884、XR1071这三种芯片以XR1071效果最好,但价格较高,BA3884其效果接近XR1071且价格也低,属于性价比较好的BBE电路,BBE2150价格低,效果好,但分辨率是通过开关来控制的,应用时受到一定的限制,由于价格低,通过与功放的音调电路相配合使用,仍具有类同BA3884及XR1071一样分辨。
