The method is executed in two steps: formation of a first crimping level (bearing) which axially fixes the tube (9) in the plate (10), followed by the crimping of the tube (9) on the remaining thickness of the plate (10), which eliminates the gap between tube (9) and plate (10), the two crimping steps being performed by the same device.
