相比老托福考试，现在考生获得高分的人数要比以往锐减不少。
其主要原因是，新托福考试非常强调考生的综合英语能力，而以往的托福考试则侧重于考查阅读能力和听力能力，这些考查点都仅仅涉及对考生Input （信息输入）能力的考查，所以考生对新托福中的口语、综合写作等涉及output （信息输出）能力考查的题目非常的不适应，其相应的准备也是非常的不充分和没有针对性。
笔者曾询问过新托福考生“你觉得应该如何准备新托福考试？”结果，得到的绝大多数回答是“不太清楚，反正就是多读、多听、多说、多写。
”至于如何有针对性地多读、多听、多说、多写？则没有一个考生能够清楚地予以回答。
《大学》云：“知止，而后有定，定而后能静，静而有所虑，虑而有所得。
”也就是说，学习应该首先要有明确的学习目标，知道自己的奋斗方向后才能心平气和地思考和奋斗。
所以笔者想通过此文帮助广大考生，明确准备新托福考试的学习目标，然后掌握科学的备考方法。
一、网上注册报名以确定考试时间和备考周期打开浏览器，登陆“教育部考试中心海外考试报名信息网”（/），并点击左侧栏目中的TOEFL就可进入报名页。
当然也可以直接在浏览器中输入/直接进入托福网上报名系统，点击“中文版”进入报名（见下图）。
懒惰和倦怠是人类的天性，所以根据自己出国准备的时间安排和自己目前的英语水平先确定考试时间，从而给自己一个明确的时间压力，然后确定备考周期，进而能够将准备工作具体化，最好能把备考任务具体到每周的任务量，这样既避免了制定每天任务量的繁杂和不确定因素干扰，同时也保持了明晰的学习和复习进度。
