GMAT OG SC解析By JOJO

GMAT OG SC解析By JOJO

OG Sentence Correction做题思路解析By JOJO1.(E)A,B中Declare应该要用动词形式,排除A,B. 同时,B中fail in not controlling应该改成fail to control, such..like也错C中根据GMAT公理,since表因为,是连词,但从句没有动词,错误D中Fail in controlling, such..like错误E中declared 是发生在failed之后,在实验失败后才宣布2.(C)A,B:illogically suggests that the manufacturers can make the batteries last longer simply by rating them higher. 排除D.E:the correct form is the higher X, the longer Y.3.(D)A: 根据GMA T公理, GMA T中there be仅用于某处有某物,而此物是具体名词(比如wolf, stone, star),比如there was a transmission的表达不对。

并且主语是a surge, have raised不对。

B:根据GMA T公理:there being+名词词组必错,同时用raised时态不对C:had raised时态不对,不存过去的过去,for a recovery finally being--Awkward and wordyD: 对,present perfect should be used as hopes were raised in the past and economists talking about the presentE:raised不对,for a recovery finally underway--awkward4.(B)A: not only who...but also mirroring----not parallelB: not only arrange...but also mirror 对C: not only could arrange...but also to mirror---not parallelD:not only..but 错E:not only..but错5.(E)A:more..as.. C:It is none that is more---wordy; It must refer to something( unlike in the phrase such as “ it is clear that..), yet it does not plausibly refer to anything;而you can‟t have a present tense for an event that occured in the past, unless it is a recurring and universal phenomenon D:同上6.(A)B,D,E: diabetes是单数,rank, are, have been... C: has the rank of...---wordy and idiomatic7.(E)A,D: the intricate structure是单数名词,应该helps,所以AD不对B.C: The pronoun should refer back to the compound insect eye, so it can‟t be plural.同时,C和D中,the use of assuming with the possessive is unwarranted, explain scientists‟assuming is verbose and awkward8.( E)A: 1.which应该指代moisture, 而紧跟在tourists后变成指代tourists了,错。

Defense attorneys have occasionally argued that their clients’misconduct stemmed from a reaction to something ingested,but in attributing criminal or delinquent behavior to some food allergy,the perpetrators are in effect told that they are not responsible for their actions.A.in attributing criminal or delinquent behavior to some food allergy,B.if criminal or delinquent behavior is attributed to an allergy to some food,C.in attributing behavior that is criminal or delinquent to an allergy to some food,D.if some food allergy is attributed as the cause of criminal or delinquent behavior,E.in attributing a food allergy as the cause of criminal or delinquent behavior,雷哥GMAT解析一But后面连接的是完整的句子,如果是attributing criminal to food,发出该动作的主语变成了perpetrators,逻辑错误,应该是attorney attribute criminal to foodA.Attributing criminal不是后面perpetrators发出的B.对C.同A错误D.Attribute to固定搭配E. 或者是...is attributed...to...A修饰语错误B正确C修饰语错误D固定搭配使用错误E修饰语错误更有雷哥GMAT语法资料合集,来自雷哥GMAT在线团队。

但难度再往上走点,可能主干就不是那么容易好找,一些过去分词短语和现在分词短语来干扰你,比如这个句子(正确的句子)In1995Richard Stallman,a well-known critic of the patent system, testified in Patent Office hearings that,to test the system,a colleague of his had managed to win a patent for one of Kirchhoff's laws,an observation about electric current first made in1845and now included in virtually every textbook of elementary physics.主干就应该是RS这个人,跳过同位语做插入语,谓语是testified,that后面从句,that后从句的主干应该是a colleague managed to win a patent,然后后面一个an observation作为同位语修饰这个定律。

为了便于大家阅读,我把word文档作为附件也一并上传第一单元第1题思路:●it无指代,排除A,E●为何叫Glass House和like glass之间应该有因果关系,B用and没有体现此关系● D●感觉C中的naming应该不对,但是不知道究竟为什么不对验证:主动优于被动,在D,E中选OG考点:✓主动优于被动,被动wordy and confusing✓It指代错误✓A中被动不好,尤其在之前已经有被动的情况下✓ B lose causal connection✓ C 中as the object of a preposition and not the subject of the clause, James Cook does not work as the noun that the verbal phrase beginning with naming can describe------naming的逻辑主语是JAMES COOK ,而它的语法上的主语却是MOUNTAIN,所以错✓C中since失去因果关系----我查了牛津辞典,since明明有一种解释是because,为什么这里不能表示因果??since(既然)语气较弱,表示事物发展的自然结果,特别是当对方大概已经了解其原因的情况下使用,表示既成事实的原因一般位于主句之前。

例:Since you can't answer the question, I'll ask someone else.because通常表示直接的原因。

According to scientists who monitored its path, an expanding cloud of energized particles ejected from the Sun recently triggered a large storm in the magnetic field that surrounds Earth, which brightened the Northern Lights and also possibly knocking out a communications satellite.A、an expanding cloud of energized particles ejected from the Sun recently triggered a large storm in the magnetic field that surrounds Earth, which brightened the Northern Lights and also possibly knockingB、an expanding cloud of energized particles ejected from the Sun was what recently triggered a large storm in the magnetic field that surrounds Earth, and it brightened the Northern Lights and also possibly knockedC、an expanding cloud of energized particles ejected from the Sun recently triggered a large storm in the magnetic field that surrounds Earth, brightening the Northern Lights and possibly knockingD、a large storm in the magnetic field that surrounds Earth, recently triggered by an expanding cloud of energized particles, brightened the Northern Lights and it possibly knockedE、a large storm in the magnetic field surrounding Earth was recently triggered by an expanding cloud of energized particles, brightening the Northern Lights and it possibly knocked原句的, which就近修饰名词Earth,逻辑语义错。

verbal经典易错50题第二篇SC篇as when each of the three major networks broadcast exactly the same statement from a political candidate.A. superficial such as when each of the three major networksB. superficial, as can sometimes occur if all of the three major networksC. superficial if the three major networks allD. superficial whenever each of the three major networksE. superficial, as when the three major networks each正确答案:E该题平均耗时:2m11s ,平均正确率:21.7%来源:精选题库参考解析: 考察逻辑语义和主谓一致这里表达的是when… 而不是if…

Scientists have recently discovered what could be the largest and oldest living organism on Earth, a giant fungus that is an interwoven filigree of mushrooms and rootlike tentacles spawned by a single fertilized spore some 10,000 years agoand extending for more than 30 acres in the soil of a Michigan forest.A. extendingB. extendsC. extendedD.it extendedE.is extending正确答案:A该题平均耗时:1m59s ,平均正确率:32%来源:精选题库参考解析: 考察with的修饰问题。

With短语放在句子中只能就近修饰前面的名词,而不能修饰其他词性,因为test-driven不是名词,所以只有D正确更多讨论,参看雷哥网试题链接:https:///question/14458-%E9%80%BB%E8%BE%91CR.htmlenrollment of colleges in India.A. equivalent to the enrollment ofB. the equivalent of those enrolled inC. equal to those who are enrolled inD. as many as the enrollment ofE. as many as are enrolled in正确答案:E该题平均耗时:2m4s ,平均正确率:28.1%来源:Manhattan参考解析: 首先AD用enrollment与前句的人数做对比,造成比较对象不平行,错。

4. In 1994 the white house named Dr RuthR. Faden chairperson of the federal advisory committee of expertsthey assigned to do a report on the history and ethics of the government’s radiation experiments on humans in the 1950’s and 1960’s.A. they assigned to doB. to be assigned doingC. that was being assigned doingD. assigned for doingE. it assigned to do正确答案:E该题平均耗时:2m4s ,平均正确率:28.1%来源:GWD参考解析:首先看assign的用法,assign sth.;assign sb. sth.;assign sth. to sb.assign sb. to sth.;assign sb. to do sth.没有assign for doing,所以D错误的原因在这里○ A的问题是they的指代○ B是违反固定搭配○ C是being结构冗余○ E正确是因为Chairperson of...of...+修饰成分,修饰的是chairpersonit指代的是the white house, 这是个定语从句,因为所修饰的内容在从句中作宾语,所以that省略没有问题【其实就是考察嵌入式关系从句:在E中,其实"of experts"和"it assigned"中间省略额一个"that",完整形式是 ...the federal advisory committeeof experts that it assigned to do... 5. Like the Dreyfus affair at the turn of the century and the Sacco-Vanzetti trial inwas the first time a congressional hearing was shown on television.(A) the more so because it was(B) more for its being(C) more for the reason that it was(D) the more so for the reason because it was(E) the reason of it being more so is that it was正确答案:A该题平均耗时:1m28s ,平均正确率:28.7%来源:精选题库参考解析:首先,more so是一个习语,其中so指代前文中提到的整个action。

其次对比AC,C中用到了for the reason that的表达,明显没有because简截了当,有redundant的嫌疑6. Building large new hospitals in the bistate area would constitute a wasteful use of resources, on the basis of avoidance of duplicated facilities alone.A. on the basis of avoidance of duplicated facilities aloneB. on the grounds of avoiding duplicated facilities aloneC. solely in that duplicated facilities should be avoidedD. while the duplication of facilities should be avoidedE. if only because the duplication of facilities should be avoided正确答案:E该题平均耗时:2m34s ,平均正确率:28.7%来源:GWD参考解析:A of duplicated facilities ,duplicated时态不对,would表明在过去将会发生,duplicated则是复制出的B of avoiding duplicated awkwardC 错误同AD while不能引导虚拟语气E 句子的意思到这个时候才能水落石出。

if only because 。

should。

,。

would。

7. In an America steeped in romanticism, cemeteries were laid out beyond the city as places for a transcendental contemplation of nature, death and duty.(A) In an America steeped in romanticism, cemeteries were laid out(B) In America steeped in romanticism, cemeteries were laid out(C) In an America steeped in romanticism, cemeteries laid(D) Cemeteries, in America steeped in romanticism, were laid(E) Cemeteries in an America steeped in romanticism laid正确答案:A该题平均耗时:2m14s ,平均正确率:28.9%来源:精选题库参考解析:1、一个场所被安排,固定搭配是be laid out2、in...
