一、教材分析
本课内容选自冀教版小学英语第四册第二单元，本课内容为故事课，讲述了月亮先生在很久以前没有生日，从而十二个月份争相推荐自己，并在自我推荐过程中，介绍了自己的月份特点，从而使学生在学习故事的过程中也复习了有关月份和天气的知识。
本课内容是Unit2的最后一课，本单元的主题是Days and Months,故事中出现的月份和天气均是学生在本单元中接触过的词汇，因此学生们在自主探究的过程当中并没有遇到过多的麻烦，同时对于出现的少量的新单词，学生可以借助老师的表情、动作进行猜测，理解。
二、学情分析
通过本单元的学习，学生已能较熟练地认读一些常见的天气、月份，能介绍它们的一些特征。
学生从三年级起学习英语，经过一学期的学习，已有初步的英语基础，正逐渐向读写过渡，本课的月份生日话题是他们比较感兴趣的内容，学生会有较高的学习热情。

学生能利用上下文、借助课件及肢体语言推测生词的意思；
（2）情感目标：培养学生的阅读兴趣。
（3）学习策略目标：通过对故事的学习，激发学生热爱生活的情感和培养与人交流的能力。

本单元是冀教版三年级下第二单元的Again，please！本单元是以生活在动物园里动物的居住地点和食物喜好为话题展开的。本单元的课程结构是五节新授课，一节故事课，还有一个Again，Please！本单元结构合理，内容充实，趣味性强，能够引起学生的学习兴趣！
本单元的话题是谈论生活在动物园里的动物，也贴近学生的生活，学生对这些动物的模样，生活习性很熟悉，没有陌生感，再加上这个年龄段的孩子都喜欢小动物，所以他们对本单元的学习产生了浓厚的兴趣，这就有利于学生掌握本单元的单词和表达方式。

三、学习者特征分析
学生的认知特点： 小学四年级的学生大部分都聪明活泼、勤奋好学，对英语有着浓厚的兴趣，他们乐于表达自 己，渴望得到同学和教师的赞许。但他们注意力不强，必须采用合适的教学方法来调动他们 的学习兴趣，继续保持对英语的学习热情。

本节课是复习课，教师适时的给予引导，让学生能自如地综合运用前面所学的知识的内容。 多采用游戏学习的方式，并通过播放录音、PPT，启发、帮助学生讨论。
