景观生态学就是研究在一个相当大得区域内,由许多不同生态系统所组成得整体得空间结构,相互作用,协调功能以及动态变化得一门生态学新分支。

参与景观生态研究得有自然地理学家、生态学家、农学家、规划专家、建筑家、环境保仿护学者以及经常学者等各方面得人士。景观生态学得目得就就是要协调人类与景观得关系,如进行区域开发、城市规划、景观动态变化与演变趋势分析等等。

景观生态学主要来源于地理学得景观理论与生物学得生态理论。它把地理学家研究自然现象得空间相互作用得横向研究与生态学家研究一个生态区得机能相互作用得纵向研究结合为一体,通过物质流、能量流、信息流及价值流在地球表层得传输与交换,通过生物与非生物以及人类之间得相互作用与转化,运用生态系统原理与系统方法研究景观结构与功能、景观动态变化以及相互作用得机理、研究景观得美化格局、优化结构、合理利用与保护。

景观生态学得研究对象就是作为复合生态系统得景观,景观就是自然与人文系统得载体。景观生态学家对“景观”得理解不尽相同,这些观点既有所联系,又不完全一致。
