演绎法是先介绍一条语法规则，然后再讲解运用这条语法规则的例子。
比如在教授usedtodosth.这个新的语法规则时可以直接告诉学生这个用法是用于表示过去习惯于做某事。
2、归纳教学法。
归纳是指从大量具体现象中总结、提取出其中的规律。
归纳法区别于演绎法，是学习者还没有接触到语法规则，就先学习例句，在从例句中得到对规则的理解。
在实际教学中，我们可以先列举出几个的例子，让学生接触一系列的语言现象，然后，在此基础上总结出一定的语法规则。
初中大多的语法句子先是在课本中出现，并逐渐增多，再作归纳总结，并辅之以大量练习。
教学实践证明，归纳教学法是一种适合我们中国学生特点的教学法。
本人认为，在归纳教学法的基础上，适当结合演绎法，对加深学生的记忆是种不错的方法。
3.语境教学。
所谓通过文本教语法就是使用文本作为语法教学的语境。
语境教学英语对于我们来说，在初学时，学生会觉得不习惯，而且由于平时生活中没有去使用，学过的知识往往容易忘记。
教师就可以在课堂中模拟具体的交际情境，通过讲解-练习-点评的方式加深学生的理解和记忆。
随着课程内容的深入，逐渐出现动词的时态和语态等语法现象，这些语法对英语交际的效果具有直接的影响，因此，指导学生在情境中操练它们的用法非常有必要。
如“Iamwritingnow.”、“Ihavewrittenaletter.”、“Iwillwritealettertomorrow.”这样把语法现象和具体生活的情境联系起来，学生必然能够学得快、记得牢，还能引发学生学习英语的兴趣，在课外试着去使用英语。
这样，以后在类似情境下，学生必能脱口而出地说出相似的句子来。
在教学中围绕某个语法项目，对英语在典型语境进行产出性练习，即教师设计贴近学生生活的情境，将抽象的语法融入生活情景中，学生在教师精心设计的给定的语境下运用语言，通过体验语法项目的运用过程，达到内化规则和有效提高学生语言运用能力的目的。
语境设计的是否合理、程度的难易往往是课堂活动成败的关键。
语境应尽量贴近学生的生活实际，语言材料应包含典型语法结构，以易于学生接受。
在语言技能方面，应当先输入后输出，使教学呈阶梯式层层推进。

我发现有些学生的英语学习之所以成功，是因为老师对学生采取积极态度，使学生在课堂上注意听讲，勇于提问，不怕在学习上犯错误，受挫折，具有强烈的交际动机，勇于做各种尝试，勇于锻炼自己的应变能力，并在学习上掌握了一些行之有效的学习方法。
在教学活动中，教师要转换角色，要从学习的控制者变成指导者，以增强学生的主动性，让学生慢慢地在没有监督的情况下养成良好的复习习惯，自觉学习，提高学习能力。
比如在学习语法时态的过程中，不要只单纯地进行语法知识讲解，而要通过反复使用，对比不同时态动词和时间状语的变化，寻找出不同时态动词的变化规律以及相对应的一类时间状语，让学生发现语法中的现象，总结归纳规律，培养一种英语的语言习惯，为提高语言的综合运用能力打下坚实的基础。
练习与总结是相辅相成的，练习时容易暴露学生学习时出现的问题，需要及时总结和归纳错误，句型操练有助于学生实践掌握语法，语法规则概括也有助于学生自觉掌握句型，所以在进行了一定程度的练习之后，要引导学生把句型和语法联系起来，适当进行总结、概括、对比和归纳，整理出一定的规则、规律。
