缩 略 语 向社 会 生 活 的各 个 领 域 渗 透 ， 各 个 领 域 的发 展 写 字母 Ｒ则 可 以是 ７ ４个 词 的缩 略 形 式 。
就是缩略语 增长的原因。现在我 国有《 英汉农业缩略语词 典》 ， 《 英汉医药学缩略语词典 》 ， 《 英汉 工程技术缩 略语词

• 5不译法。 • 有些缩略语传人时间已久，不用译成汉语大家都懂得是什 么意思，另外，业内人士熟知的一些专业术语不译出来在 交流时反而更简洁。久而久之，这些不译的英语缩略语不 仅懂英语的人熟悉，连许多不懂英语的人也熟悉起来，于 是在不知不觉中广为流传开来，再也没有必要翻译成汉语 了。 • rhe memory capacity of personal computers had increased from 16KB (kilo bytes)in the late 1970s to 64 MB (megabytes)by the late1990s，with hard disks exceeding 10 GB(gigabytes)． • 个人计算机的存量在二十世纪七十年代末仅为16 KB，而 九十年代后期已达到64 MB，硬盘容量也超过了10 GB。

缩略法几种缩略形式，以商务英语或经贸英语为语料，实例充分，可供教学或有关人员参考。

缩略语在商务英语中运用广泛，如在贸易术语、电报电传、信函、广告等方面。
英语缩略语
主要有8种构词法：1.首字母缩略法，2.截词缩略法；3.符号、代码缩略法；4.谐音缩略法；
5.辅音字母缩略法；
6.外来词缩略法；
7.变字母缩略法；
8.习惯缩略法[1]。
我们已经讨论过
首字母缩略法[1]与截词缩略法[2]。
现讨论继后的符号、代号等四种缩略法。
一、符号、代码缩略语
（一）符号缩略法
￥（yuan元中国人民币单位）；US＄（dollar美元美国货币单位）；AUS＄（澳元）；￡（pound
英镑英国货币单位）；￠（EURO 欧元欧洲12国的基本货币单位）；&（and和）；%（percent
百分比）；‰（per millage千分比）；＠（at 在）。
（二）代码在货币中的使用
代号或代码主要用于货币、度量衡单位，成为国际统一使用的符号。
货币单位如：lb（pound
英镑）；Dol （美元、加元、港元、澳元、新加坡元）；Fr（法郎，法国、比利时及瑞士）；Kr
（克朗，丹麦、瑞典及挪威）；MK（马克，德国和芬兰）；Fl（荷兰盾）；Sch（先令，奥地利）；
D （Vietnem Dong盾越南货币单位）；AntG （Netherlands Antilles Guilder盾属安的列
斯货币单位）；R（South African Rand 兰特南非货币单位）等[3]。
这里要注意的是，意大利的lira（里拉）、中国的yuan（元）、日本的yen（元）、澳门特区
的pataca均没有缩写形式[4]。

（一）保留辅音字母，去掉元音字母，与谐音法有点相似
（二）由词首元音字母和后面辅音字母组成
如：ACPT（accept）；ACDT（accident）；INFM（inform）。
（三）由首尾辅音字母组成
如：BK（bank）；FM（firm）；Mr（Mister）；RD（Road）；FM（firm商行）；ft（foot feet
英尺）。
（四）由合成词的两个部分的首字母组成，截去其他部分。
如SG（safeguard保障措施）。
（五）由第一个音节和后面的（部分或全部）辅音字母组成
如，CONSGNT（consignment发货）；SHIPMT（shipment装船）；PKG（package包裹）。
（六）由部分辅音字母组成
（七）辅音字母x的功能
如：FOREX（foreign exchange contract外汇合约）；XL（extra large特大）；XPRS（express
快递）；fax（facsimile传真）；PAX（passenger乘客）；XOUT（cross out删除）；Xth （tenth
