在落实阅读任务时，采用小组合作讨论Ms Smart 和Lingling所挑选的三个包的特点以及最终她们决定买哪个包等任务活动，通过小组团队合作，一起完成各种学习任务，培养学生与同伴之间的交流、互助、合作能力。

外研版五年级下册Module5 Unit1 It’s big and light.教学设计一、整体设计思路、指导依据说明1.本节课是与学生生活联系较密的一课，依据《课程标准》和针对小学生的年龄特征和教学内容，在任务型教学过程中我渗入TPR，让学生动起来、让课堂活起来。
使英语学习显得不那么枯燥，让学生轻松学英语。
2.在语篇教学时，我采用“先整体，后局部，再整体”的教学方法，即强调语篇的整体性教学，同时又恰到好处地处理了依附于语篇存在的生词和句型，使得语篇教学在新语言点的支撑下焕发勃勃生机。
3.在最后创设“Choose a bag for teacher”情境教学中，使学生身临其境，从而达到学以致用的目的。
使学生在轻松、愉快的环境中积极地学习，积极地交流，极大地激发了学生的学习兴趣，从而为学生进一步学习英语奠定了良好的基础。
二、教学背景分析1.教学内容分析：本节课的教学内容所涉及的语言功能是用英语（形容词）描述事物的性质、特征。
本节课是本模块的第一课时。
通过本课的学习,学生不仅巩固了曾学过的相关形容词而且应能够用英语描述事物的特征、比较事物，以及为学习Unit2和今后的进一步学习打下良好的语言基础。
2.学生情况分析：五年级学生已学了近三年的英语，故有一定的基础，但是也不像三、四年级学生对英语充满好奇，甚至产生了厌学的情绪，为此，我采用了在任务型教学过程中渗入TPR和“课堂积分”的评价方法，让学生动起来、让课堂活起来，让学生轻松学英语。
三、教学目标分析基于《课程标准》的要求，教材的特点，学生的认知规律，确定如下教学目标：知识目标：1.学会单词“heavy，light，broken，pocket”。
2.句子：It’s big and light. It’s got two pockets. It’ll be easy for me.3.用英语描述事物的特征。
能力目标：运用英语简单地描述自己的书包。
情感态度目标：让学生有兴趣用英语表达，能积极参与课堂活动，以及培养学生用英语描述事物特征的基本技能。

２．本课是形容词及用形容词描述物品的一个深入学习，既能让学生复习旧知，又能让学生新旧联系，有效地把新知旧知结合，从而归纳总结。
学情分析
学生在两年多的英语学习中，已经基本掌握了一些英语。本课对于他们来说不是很难，但是某些学生学习兴趣不高，导致学习效率低，所以提高他们的兴趣，培养他们的自信是非常重要的，这样才能使他们共同进步。而本课之前，学生已经掌握了一些形容词，如：big/ small/ short/ long等，他们能用这些进行简单描述。

It’s big and light教学反思Module5 Unit1 It’s big and light的教学任务是学会heavy，ligh t，broken等单词，并会使用，同时学会用It’s big and light.等句子用所学过的形容词来描述事物的特征。
五年级的学生已初步掌握一些形容词以及学习用具、动物种类、水果种类的单词，能用英语进行简单的交流、描述。
我根据教材特点以及学生的实际情况定下了本课的设计理念：一、采用做chant导入，对已学的形容词进行复习，激发学生的学习兴趣，快速地活跃课堂气氛。
二、让学生运用所学英语知识以及新学句型，去描述自己喜欢的感兴趣的事物，提高学生语言实际运用的能力，并且通过课堂评价在实践过程中充分感受到成功，形成积极的学习态度。
三、通过与同伴合作互助，完成课文的朗读与理解，培养学生自主学习语言的能力，并使其领悟到合作精神的重要性。
一节课下来，我基本顺利地完成了教学任务并达到了本课的教学目标。
个人觉得本课具有以下几个特点：1. 用食物，如教师和学生的文具对新授内容注意创设情景，同时通过翻单词卡、画favoutite animals等学生感兴趣的环节，让学生通过体验与感受进一步理解新知。
2.通过学生之间用英语互评的教学活动,师生共同创设了一种民主和谐的英语学习气氛，较好地形成了师生互动和生生互动。
3.学生对本课重点单词heavy, light，broken，掌握情况较好。
4.学生能用所学的形容词对身边的事物进行描述，基本达到了预期效果。
5、为了能让学生更好地理解课文，我设置了一些相关的问题，然后逐个呈现，帮助学生理解课文。
首先在第一遍听的时候，我让他们带着两个简单的小问题，一是"How many bags in the dialogue?"第二个是"What colour bag did they buy?"这样做的目的只是让学生大致了解课文内容，在深入理解时，我通过这样三个问题来进行，（1）What's the black bag like? (2)What’s the green bag?(3)Why did the y buy the blue bag?这一系列问题能够回答出来，课文内容基本也就理解了。
