Good evening ladies and gentlemen, honorable judges and dear audiences. It is my great honor to stand here and give you a short speech. Tonight I want to share with you the topic is “our campus English culture”.
When I came to our campus I just think our college is very big and the environment is good. There are so many trees and the air is fresh. But that time I didn’t know the atmosphere of learning English. As the time goes by, I knew that there are so many English associations, such as CCS, harmonious English, flying English, crazing English, super English, English movie salon and so on.. I think it is our campus English culture, why? Because other campus without so many English associations, even the key university.
Everyday, near the lake there are lots of students practice English. some students communicate with other in English , some students read English by themselves, some students face the lake and yell English . In their infection now more and more students come there to practice English. I think it is a beautiful scenery line in our campus.
As for associations, each semester they hold all kind of activities. Such like this English speech competition. I think it is a good opportunity for us to show ourselves. for it not only can improve our English level, but also let us make new friends. In addition, harmonious English and flying English hold English reading week, English summer training camp and English winter training camp for 7 days. I still remembered that when I am a freshman I took part in the harmonious English winter training camp. It is really a big challenge, because that time the weather is very cold and I must get up so early, during the activity we also went out side to learn English and play!
