Sigmund Freud
Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, famously referred to the hidden pathological character of typical human behavior.
He believed that the Marxists were right to focus on what he called “the decisive influence which the economic circumstances of men have upon their intellectual, ethical and artistic attitudes.” But he thought that the Marxist view of the class struggle was too shallow, assigning to recent centuries conflicts that were actually primordial. Behind the class struggle, according to Freud, there stands the struggle between father and son, between established clan leader and rebellious challenger. Freud also popularized his notions of the id （libido） and the desires associated with each supposed aspect of personality.
In logic If any state becomes too powerful, balancing will occur as other powers would build up their militaries and form a balancing coalition. Because this resulting security dilemma would leave the aspiring hegemon less secure, defensive realists maintain that it is in a state’s interest to maintain the status quo rather than maximize its power.
Man is a political animal, meaning an animal with an innate propensity to develop more complex communities the size of a city or town, with a division of laborand law-making. This type of community is different in kind from a large family, and requires the special use of human reason.
Richard Dawkins
Clinton Richard Dawkins FRS FRSL (born 26 March 1941) is a British ethologist, evolutionary biologist, and writer. He is an emeritus fellow of New College, Oxford, and was the University of Oxford's Professor for Public Understanding of Science from 1995 until 2008.
Richard Dawkins in his The Selfish Gene states that "a predominant quality" in a successful surviving gene is "ruthless selfishness." Furthermore, "this gene selfishness will usually give rise to selfishness in individual behavior."
Aristotle
Aristotle—Plato's most famous student—made some of the most famous and influential statements about human nature.
Man is a conjugal animal, meaning an animal which is born to couple when an adult, thus building a household (oikos) and, in more successful cases, a clan or small village still run upon patriarchal lines.
My opinion
According to the view of Marx’s historical materialism, the fundamental attributes of people should be the sociality, only sociality can distinguish between human and animal……. But the human nature is too complicated to describe……

At the core of the balance of power theory is the idea that national security is enhanced when capabilities are distributed so that no one state is strong enough to dominate all others. If one state gains inordinate power, the theory predicts that it will take advantage of its strength and attack weaker neighbors thereby providing an incentive for those threatened to unite in a defensive coalition.
