本课将复习以前学过的职业名词teacher，worker，farmer，cook，doctor，nurse，并引出新的职业名词postman，policeman，并在此基础上学会如何学会询问对方的职业及工作地点，通过这节课的学习进一步提高用英语进行交际的能力。
学情分析
根据学生已有的认知基础和小学英语的总体目标，确立本课能听说读写单词policeman和postman，能理解和掌握本课重点句型，并能用来进行对话
教学重点和难点
本课重难点：
理解并掌握询问对方的职业What do you do ?及其答语。询问对方的工作地点Where do you work ?及其答语。

在我们平时的实际教学中,我们总是期盼预设和生成同样精彩。但实际操作中总会有不期而至的情况发生。这可能与我们对教材或学生认识不足,把握不准,方法不当有关。比如在教学设计时教师尽量用孩子的思维去考虑设计教学或问题,但总是有偏差。比如在本课的编唱chant环节中,我个人认为是一个很有意思的环节,而学生并不认同,从游戏本身来看,没有难度,学生通过练习已基本掌握句型,运用游戏的目的是想提高学生的学习兴趣,起到巩固的效果。但很多学生处于一种观望的态度。没有参与到学习中来,使得这个活动没有真正发挥起作用。在Presentation新知呈现过程中我用课件一边展示图片，创设具体情境，一边听对话，使学生展开了丰富的想象，产生探究的兴趣，积极参与学习主题句型“What do you do? Where do you work ?”等，培养了学生综合运用语言的能力。在巩固拓展中，我采用任务型教学法，给学生提供一个语言实践的平台：鼓励学生就职业问题展开小记者调查活动。被调查者择自己喜欢的职业回答小记者的提问“What do you do? Where do you work ?”，让学生们用所学到的语言知识去了解他们身边的同学的相关信息,每个学生都动起来，融入实践活动之中,体验到了学习语言的乐趣。
（2）、利用句子卡片猜职业激发学生兴趣
在上一轮的练习后，紧接着，我把写有职业的卡片分别通过提问的方式给几位学生，拿卡片的学生把卡片遮住后我示范用用”Are you a……?”来猜拿卡片学生的职业，后全班齐问“What do you do?”找几组同学操练有效的激发了学生的兴趣的同时又起到了巩固的作用。

Step4 Consolidation
鼓励学生就职业问题展开小记者调查活动：学生7---10人一组，选择一名优秀的当小记者，被调查者择自己喜欢的职业回答小记者的提问“What`s your name ?What do you do? Where do you work ?”。小记者要把采访的每位学生的相应的资料填在资料卡片上。
接着出示其他图片继续操练.在练习时，我采用了多种方式，在刚开始引导时我采用了师生互动方式，（出示幻灯片职业及工作地点，以各种形式：像你问我答，我问你答，男孩问女孩答，女孩问男孩答等。）
(4)利用所学句子编唱chant

（1）、T：Today we have a new friend, do you want to know her? Ss: Yes. T: Ok, Let’s go.采用这个环节就是让孩子们全体参与，让学生对这位新朋友提问他们所想知道的信息，既复习了旧知又自然的引导出本课的重点句型What do you do? I’m a _______同时板书课题,写的同时先让学生试读后由教师带读。我介绍自己I am a teacher.引导学生运用刚才学习的职业名词说出句型I am ….让愿意表达的学生出示自己的图片说出自己的句子.练习多次后说出I am …句型的具体意思是"我是……。"
教师在教学中的角色定位,教师首先应该是一个很好的示范者。给学生明确的示范,让学生明白你的思路和目的,学会正确的语音语调,知识结构。同时知道怎么去操作,怎么去练习,如何正确操练。其次教师应该是一个很好的调控者。调整自己和学生的情绪,调整课堂节奏,让你的情绪感染学生,激发起他们的兴趣,一起学习,这样才能有足够的热情有效的吸取知识。在这个环节上要求教师有足够的教学功底,我在这儿把握不是很到位,没有让学生真正激动起来。学生的情绪没有完全释放。
（3）接着出示另一组句型。教师先说出I am a teacher。I work in a school。出示Let`s learn部分的课件模仿练习.出示一幅图,先读词再模仿应用。

引导学生用英语来进行问好，通过师生互相问好，激起学生的学习兴趣，创设学习英语的氛围。
Step2. Presentation
新知识是旧知识的延伸和扩展，在复习时我说“First, we＇ll review.”然后利用多媒体课件，生动形象展示职业名词nurse、doctor、teacher、worker、cook、postman、policeman、and farmer.其中有二个单词postman、policeman是新授单词，我采用带读方式以及拼读方式加深学生印象。
