So for the first few days, I just relaxed, ate way too many New Year's candies and snacks, and enjoyed time with my family. On the third day, we visited the homes of our relatives to give and receive gifts and good wishes. We also got to make our own small lanterns and join the lantern parade through the city.Another highlight is receiving money from my parents' colleagues and friends who visit our home bearing small gifts like candies, fruits, and coins wrapped in red paper. At the end of the holiday, I had accumulated quite a big pile of red envelopes! My brother and I counted up all our New Year money and split it, feeling very rich. Of course, my parents made sure we put some aside to save for the future.After two weeks of celebrations, it was time for the Spring Festival to end and go back to school.
