It’s an earlier house owned by the Dukes of Buckingham in 1703 and also called Buckingham Palace which located in the City of Westminster. The house which forms the architectural core of the present palace. Buckingham Palace is a symbol and home of the British monarchy, an art gallery and tourist attraction. The palace also houses the offices of the Royal Household and is the workplace of 450 people

Buckingham Palace finally became the official royal palace of the British monarch on the accession of Queen Victoria in 1837. The last major structural additions were made in the late 19th and early 20th centuries .


Originally known it was a large townhouse built for the Duke of Buckingham in 1705 on a site which had been in private ownership for at least 150 years. It was subsequently acquired by George III in 1761 as a private residence for Queen Charlotte, and known as "The Queen's House".

Buckingham Palace, is the official residence and office of the British monarch.

The palace is a setting for state occasions and royal hospi’tality. It has been a focus for the British people at times of national rejoicing and crisis.

The clock has become a symbol of the United Kingdom and London, particularly in the visual media. When a television or film-maker wishes to indicate a generic location in Britain, a popular way to do so is to show an image of the Clock Tower, often with a red double-decker bus or black cab in the foreground. The Clock Tower is a focus of New Year celebrations in the United Kingdom, with radio and TV stations tuning to its chimes to welcome the start of the year.


the Tower Bridge is the statue of London which was built in 1886. The proximity of the harbor and its location in the direction of the sea required for the bridge to allow the passage of large vessels. So the decision to create a moveable bridge which can be opened to accommodate boat traffic was made. The mechanism to open the bridge is hidden in the two towers.


Each deck is more than 30 meters wide and can be opened to an angle of 83 degrees. When opened the bridge has a clearance of almost 45 meters. It used to open almost 50 times a day but nowadays it is only raised about 1,000 times a year. Bridge lifts are pre-scheduled (for cruise ships, etc) so visitors can check the bridge's website to find out when it will rise and lower.


The Ballroom is the largest room at Buckingham Palace. It was added by Queen Victoria and is used for ceremonies such as investitures and state banquets. This picture dates from 1856.

Inside the bridge is the Tower Bridge Exhibition, a display area that encompasses the walkway and the two famous towers where you can observe the Victorian engine room. Visitors can learn about the history of the bridge via photos, films, and other media
For two years during World War I, Big Ben’s bell was silent to prevent enemy aircraft from using it to hone in on the Houses of Parliament, and during World War II its clock was not illuminated for the same reason. In 1934 and 1956 the bell was restored and repaired. Maintenance work was performed on the clock in 2007.it survived and continue strike the hours.


Queen Victoria, the first monarch to reside at Buckingham Palace, moved into the newly completed palace upon her accession in 1837.
However, the palace chapel was destroyed by a German bomb in World War II the Queen's Gallery was built on the site and opened to the public in 1962 to exhibit works of art from the Royal Collection

The clock tower of the Houses of Parliament in London is often called Big Ben, but the name really belongs to an enormous bell inside the tower. The tower of Big Ben is an important London landmark. The clock is known for being an excellent time-keeper, and the bell is known for the sound it makes as it chimes every hour on the hour. Four smaller bells in the tower chime the quarter hours.


The state rooms, used for official and state entertaining, are open to the public each year for most of August and September. These very formal rooms are used only for ceremonial and official entertaining, but are open to the public every summer.
