Why did the writer complain to the people behind him?
Last week I went to the theatre. I had a very good seat。 The play
was very interesting. I did not enjoy it。 A young man and a young
woman were sitting behind me。 They were talking loudly。 I got very
angry. I could not hear the actors. I turned round. I looked at the
man and the woman angrily. They did not pay any attention. In the
end, I could not bear it。 I turned round again。 ’I can't hear a word!'
I said angrily。
‘It’s none of your business,' the young man said rudely。 ‘This is a
private conversation!’

课文详注 Further notes on the text
1.Last week I went to the theatre。上星期我去看戏。
(1)句首的“Last week”点明叙述的事情发生的时间是上星期.因此整篇课文的时态基本上应是过去时
(包括过去进行时),直接引语部分的时态除外.
(2)动词go的原义是离开一个地方去另一个地方,与介词to连用后,常加上主语所要去的目的地来代
表主语的动作目的。课文中go to the theatre = go to the theatre to see a play,即去剧场看戏。类似的还有

2 以下的短语中名词前通常不加冠词:
go to school上学
go to bed上床,睡觉
go to church上教堂,去做礼拜
go to hospital(医院) 去看病;
go home(跟home相连一定表示没有事情可做回家休息)

seat一般指戏院、汽车等配置的固定座位,也可以抽象地表示“座位”或“位子”的概念:
the front seat of a car汽车的前座

结构:seat oneself 常用be seated形式。
We were seated at the table.

interesting属于现在分词形式的形容词,意思是“使人感兴趣"。
它通常与非人称主语连用或修饰某个事物:

句子结构:主语+系动词(was)+表语

3 enjoy vt。 欣赏,享受,喜爱 后面的宾语为名词、代词、动名词
① enjoy +n. 喜欢,从当中得到一种享受(后面不能跟人)

② enjoy oneself/代词 玩的开心
enjoy +代词,一般为反身代词
enjoy oneself =have a good time 玩的很开心,过的很愉快
e。g. I enjoyed myself last night。/I had a good time last night。
③ enjoy +动名词
Jane doesn't enjoy swimming. She enjoys going to the theatre。
5。 A young man and a young woman were sitting behind me. 坐在我的身后,
were sitting 过去进行时,交待故事发生的背景
e.g。 One night, I was reading in my study, suddenly a man broke into my house.
behind 在……的后面
在……之前 in front of
I was sitting in front of a young man and a young woman.
in the front of 在……的前面(内部的前面),in front of 在外部的前面
e。g。 He is sitting in the front of the bus.我坐在汽车的前面(内部的前面)。
这间屋子前面有棵树。
There is a tree in front of the room.
ahead 在……前面,动态的,两个比较的东西至少有一个是动的,in front of 静止的“在前面”。
e.g。 He went ahead of me.
6。 They were talking loudly. 大声地说着话。
主语+谓语+方式状语
They were talking aloud。(loudly = aloud)
considerate a. 体谅人的
反义词:inconsiderate 不体谅人的
7.I got very angry. 我非常生气。
get在这里有“逐渐变得”的含义,接近become,是个表示过程的动词,表示状态的变化, 后面加形容词。
而I was very angry则仅表示当时的状态是生气,并不暗示过程。
got取代be动词,got是一个半联系动词,可以直接加形容词。Link v。
get angry get 做系动词,意思为“变得”,
比较 I am (was) angry。 与 I got angry.
I am (was) angry. 我很生气,表状态
I got angry。 我变得很生气,表示从不生气到生气的转变过程。
表示变得,除了get,还可以用turn, become。
I turned very angry. = I became very angry.
