看到很多朋友在申请签证时都遇到了被check的问题，但是又不知道到底check 是什么，所以我这里整理了一些check的资料，尽量全面解释check的含义，我在这篇文章中说到的check问题，主要是针对美国留学签证F1签证，如果大家能够补充F2，B类，和J1等等签证的check经验，以及我帖子中写的不合适的，不足的地方，在此感激不尽，最后祝愿所有的checkees都能顺利早日clear。
注：check就是官方说的行政审理即administrative processingcheck的定义和check的目的check这个词是广大签友们取的名字，在美国使馆的官方说法是行政审理，即就是administrative processing，主要是指对一些签证申请者的材料，进行更近一步的审查，其所花费的时间比一次性通过签证审查的人所需要的时间要多。
主要审查的目的，根据美国国防院的说法，主要有四点：1、从根本上防止大杀伤性武器和导弹技术的扩散；2、限制在世界一些地区发展影响区域安全的传统武器；3、防止向恐怖主义国家输送军火和军民两用物品；4、确保美国在某些军事科技上的优势以下为节选自原文，仅作参考：Media NoteOffice of the SpokesmanWashington, DCFebruary 11, 2005Extension of Validity for Science Related Interagency Visa ClearanceVisa applications for persons to study or work in certain sensitive scientific and technical fields are subject to an interagency clearance in Washington, DC, called Visas Mantis. Since 1998, the Visas Mantis clearance process has been used to screen against the illegal transfer of technology. Once the clearance process is complete and a visa isissued, the individual may apply for admission at a U.S. port of entry. Visas Mantis clearance and visa validity are different than the period of admission determined by a Department of Homeland Security officer at the port of entry. The U.S. Department of State, in consultation with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, has extended the validity of Visas Mantis clearances for the F (student), J (exchange visitors), H (temporary workers), L (intracompany transferees) and B (tourist and business) categories of visas. 周雅淇说，访问学者一个完整的签证申请书应包括以下几个重要内容：填写完整的申请表、申请人亲笔签名、近期护照照片、身份证、资助证明、目的国的导师的邀请函及国家级身份表格等，比如美国的是DS2019表。
这些信息十分必要，如果拥有这些资料，有助于目的国对签证申请者在短时间内做出决定。
面签时，证明资金来源是关键
审理签证申请不仅要对申请人的资金能力、访问学者身份、健康品德进行仔细审查，必要时还会考虑申请的特殊性。
而资金能力的有效证明是能否取得签证的关键，是被拒签的主要原因。
当然除了资金证明，还有许多被拒签的原因，下面是六种经常拒签的原因：
1.所有材料没有英文译文。
2.只提供近期额大存款证明。
3.没有资金来源说明的详细提供情况。
4.申请人父母双方的工作证明文件未提供具体的联系办法，无法核实其真实性。
5.未提供申请人必要的联系信息（住址、电话）
6.只提供中文材料的复印件，原则上要求提供所有材料的原件，审核后会如数退还。
另外，不得以旅游签证申请学校。
从以上分析可以看出，只要访问学者申请签证的材料准备充分，资金证明和资金来源解释清楚，申请签证的成功率就能大大提升。

)签证程序：安检：笔记本、手机等电子设备不能带入签证处，应该可以存包，最好就带装好签证资料透明袋；排队进入签证大厅；再排队，到一个窗口办理，这里面是中国人帮你核实资料;再排队取指纹，里面的是美国人，他们会喊你的名字和你确认，先左四个手指，然后右四个手指，最后两个大拇指；排队等面签。

申请美国签证，因背景被check，咱们想想，我们大多数是第一次申请访问学者，申请者与美国那边八竿子打不着，以前没有一点联系，为何会被审查背景呢。
周雅淇老师说：“由厚谱教育统计，这些年来因背景被check的例子也有，而大多数的原因则是，申请者的名字问题，因为在美国的一些国外入境人员库中，会有一部分曾到美国犯过罪的人，而这些人的名字恰好与申请者相同，这就会导致美国对你进行审查”
一旦遇到这种情况，我们该怎么做呢？
周雅淇老师说：“遇到这种情况，申请者莫要过于担心，一般来说问题不大，中国人名重复率高也没办法，用人单位是请第三方调查你的信息的，耐心等待即可，其次注意邮箱及时回复第三方询问”
与专业敏感被check相比，背景被check有时候会轻一点，只要他们通过调查发现你是一个遵纪守法的人，肯定通过，但是因专业敏感而被行政审查的就没那么幸运了。
