Kids can start blogs to write about their thoughts and interests. You can share artwork, music, or videos you've made. You can code your own apps and games. The possibilities are endless for being creative online.Another amazing use of the internet is that it connects you to people all over the world. I've made friends from different countries through safe kids' chat rooms and online games. It's socool getting to learn about different cultures and perspectives. My online friends have taught me some words in their languages too!The Not-So-Good Side of the InternetAs awesome as the internet is, there are also some dangers that kids need to be aware of and careful about. One of the biggest problems is that there's a ton of inappropriate and even dangerous content out there that kids shouldn't see or interact with. Stuff like violence, inappropriate language, scary games or videos - that kind of thing. It's easy for curious kids to stumble across this stuff by mistake.That's why it's so important for kids to only use the internet with parent supervision and to follow internet safety rules. We should never share private information online or chat with strangers. And we need to be careful what links we click on or what videos we watch, because some can contain viruses that mess up your computer or device.Another risk of the internet is that there's a lot of unreliable and flat-out wrong information out there.
