英语著名的演讲稿篇1[authenticity certified: text version below transcribed directly from audio. (2)]less than three months ago at platform hearings in salt lake city, i asked the republican party to lift the shroud of silence which has been draped over the issue of hiv and aids. i have e tonight to bring our silence to an end. i bear a message of challenge, not self-congratulation. i want your attention, not your applause.i would never have asked to be hiv positive, but i believe that in all things there is a purpose; and i stand before you and before the nation gladly. the reality of aids is brutally clear. two hundred thousand americans are dead or dying. a million more are infected. worldwide, forty million, sixty million, or a hundred million infections will be counted in the ing few years. but despite science and research, white house meetings, and congressional hearings, despite good intentions and bold initiatives, campaign slogans, and hopeful promises, it is -- despite it all -- the epidemic which is winning tonight.in the context of an election year, i ask you, here in this great hall, or listening in the quiet of your home, to recognize that aids virus is not a political creature. it does not care whether you are democrat or republican; it does not ask whether you are black or white, male or female, gay or straight, young or old.tonight, i represent an aids munity whose members have been reluctantly drafted from every segment of american society. though i am white and a mother, i am one with a black infant struggling with tubesin a philadelphia hospital. though i am female and contracted this disease in marriage and enjoy the warm support of my family, i am one with the lonely gay man sheltering a flickering candle from the cold wind of his family’s rejection.this is not a distant threat. it is a present danger. the rate of infection is increasing fastest among women and children. largely unknown a decade ago, aids is the third leading killer of young adult americans today. but it won’t be third for long, because unlike other diseases, this one travels. adolescents don’t give each other cancer or heart disease because they believe they are in love, but hiv is different; and we have helped it along. we have killed each other with our ignorance, our prejudice, and our silence.we may take refuge in our stereotypes, but we cannot hide there long, because hiv asks only one thing of those it attacks. are you human? and this is the right question. are you human? because people with hiv have not entered some alien state of being. they are human. they have not earned cruelty, and they do not deserve meanness. they don’t benefit from being isolated or treated as outcasts. each of them is exactly what god made: a person; not evil, deserving of our judgment; not victims, longing for our pity -- people, ready for support and worthy of passion.my call to you, my party, is to take a public stand, no less passionate than that of the president and mrs. bush. they have embraced me and my family in memorable ways. in the place of judgment, they have shown affection. in difficult moments, they have raised our spirits. in the darkest hours, i have seen them reaching not only to me, but also to my parents, armed with that stunning grief and special grace that es only to parents who have themselves leaned too long over the bedside of a dying child.with the president’s leadership, much good has been do ne. much ofthe good has gone unheralded, and as the president has insisted, much remains to be done. but we do the president’s cause no good if we praise the american family but ignore a virus that destroys it.we must be consistent if we are to be believed. we cannot love justice and ignore prejudice, love our children and fear to teach them. whatever our role as parent or policymaker, we must act as eloquently as we speak -- else we have no integrity. my call to the nation is a plea for awareness. if you believe you are safe, you are in danger. because i was not hemophiliac, i was not at risk. because i was not gay, i was not at risk. because i did not inject drugs, i was not at risk.my father has devoted much of his lifetime guarding against another holocaust. he is part of the generation who heard pastor nemoellor e out of the nazi death camps to say,“they came after the jews, and i was not a jew, so, i did not protest. they came after the trade unionists, and i was not a trade unionist, so, i did not protest. then they came after the roman catholics, and i was not a roman catholic, so, i did not protest. then they came after me, and there was no one left to protest.”the -- the lesson history teaches is this: if you believe you are safe, you are at risk. if you do not see this killer stalking your children, look again. there is no family or munity, no race or religion, no place left in america that is safe. until we genuinely embrace this message, we are a nation at risk.tonight, hiv marches resolutely toward aids in more than a million american homes, littering its pathway with the bodies of the young -- young men, young women, young parents, and young children. one of the families is mine. if it is true that hiv inevitably turns to aids, then my children will inevitably turn to orphans. my family has been a rock of support.my 84-year-old father, who has pursued the healing of the nations, will not accept the premise that he cannot heal his daughter. my mother refuses to be broken. she still calls at midnight to tell wonderful jokes that make me laugh. sisters and friends, and my brother phillip, whose birthday is today, all have helped carry me over the hardest places. i am blessed, richly and deeply blessed, to have such a family.but not all of you -- but not all of you have been so blessed. you are hiv positive, but dare not say it. you have lost loved ones, but you dare not whisper the word aids. you weep silently. you grieve alone. i have a message for you. it is not you who should feel shame. it is we -- we who tolerate ignorance and practice prejudice, we who have taught you to fear. we must lift our shroud of silence, making it safe for you to reach out for passion. it is our task to seek safety for our children, not in quiet denial, but in effective action.someday our children will be grown. my son max, now four, will take the measure of his mother. my son zachary, now two, will sort through his memories. i may not be here to hear their judgments, but i know already what i hope they are. i want my children to know that their mother was not a victim. she was a messenger. i do not want them to think, as i once did, that courage is the absence of fear. i want them to know that courage is the strength to act wisely when most we are afraid. i want them to have the courage to step forward when called by their nation or their party and give leadership, no matter what the personal cost.i ask no more of you than i ask of myself or of my children. to the millions of you who are grieving, who are frightened, who have suffered the ravages of aids firsthand: have courage, and you will find support. to the millions who are strong, i issue the plea: set aside prejudice and politics to make room for passion and sound policy.to my children, i make this pledge: i will not give in, zachary, because i draw my courage from you. your silly giggle gives me hope; your gentleprayers give me strength; and you, my child, give me the reason to say to america, "you are at risk." and i will not rest, max, until i have done all i can to make your world safe. i will seek a place where intimacy is not the prelude to suffering. i will not hurry to leave you, my children, but when i go, i pray that you will not suffer shame on my account.to all within the sound of my voice, i appeal: learn with me the lessons of history and of grace, so my children will not be afraid to say the word "aids" when i am gone. then, their children and yours may not need to whisper it at all.god bless the children, and god bless us all.good night.英语著名的演讲稿篇2as americans gather to celebrate this week, we show our gratitude for the many blessings in our lives. we are grateful for our friends and families who fill our lives with purpose and love. we're grateful for our beautiful country, and for the prosperity we enjoy. we're grateful for the chance to live, work and worship in freedom. and in this thanksgiving week, we offer thanks and praise to the provider of all these gifts, almighty god.we also recognize our duty to share our blessings with the least among us. throughout the holiday season, schools, churches, synagogues and other generous organizations gather food and clothing for their neighbors in need. many young people give part of their holiday to volunteer at homeless shelters or food pantries. on thanksgiving, and on every day of the year, america is a more hopeful nation because of the volunteers who serve the weak and the vulnerable.the thanksgiving tradition of passion and humility dates back to the earliest days of our society. and through the years, our deepest gratitude has often been inspired by the most difficult times. almost four centuriesago, the pilgrims set aside time to thank god after suffering through a bitter winter. george washington held thanksgiving during a trying stay at valley forge. and president lincoln revived the thanksgiving tradition in the midst of a civil war.the past year has brought many challenges to our nation, and americans have met every one with energy, optimism and faith. after lifting our economy from a recession, manufacturers and entrepreneurs are creating jobs again. volunteers from across the country came together to help hurricane victims rebuild. and when the children of beslan, russia suffered a brutal terrorist attack, the world saw america's generous heart in an outpouring of passion and relief.the greatest challenges of our time have e to the men and women who protect our nation. we're fortunate to have dedicated firefighters and police officers to keep our streets safe. we're grateful for the homeland security and intelligence personnel who spend long hours on faithful watch. and we give thanks to the men and women of our military who are serving with courage and skill, and making our entire nation proud.英语著名的演讲稿篇3hello, everyone !my name is i’m from class 1, i’m very happy to stand here to give you my free-talk. today my topic is “to be a good failure”.ibelieve everyone has experienced a lot . we have done good things and also bad things. when we do the bad things, we should not feel sad. we should learn from failure ,learn from every mistake and learn how to be a good loser. that’s what i'll be talking about today. that's our lesson to learn. let me tell you why.first, losing is a part of life. it is unavoidable. it is something we all must face. everybody loses sometimes. every great person knows this truth. so don't be ashamed of losing. losing doesn't mean you're a loser.second, don’t escape from it, just accept it. losing is beneficial and can be helpful to you. we just view it as a learning experience. losing is a chance to learn. you can learn how to try again and improve.third, practice makes perfect. create challenges for yourself. never be afraid of failure. lose as much as you can. losing only makes you better. that is a great secret of success.in conclusion, remember these. you will be a good loser. it might be painful at first. but it will get easier as you go along. you'll be respected and admired. you'll feel so achievement to learn so much. you are not the real failure ,you will be a winner in future.英语著名的演讲稿篇4ever since the dawning of the history of mankind, there have been myriads of diversifed inventions, discoveries, and even explorations of the mysteries of the universe. in fact, the human beings are so intelligent that we have solved almost all kinds of problems we have confronted with.however, nobody has ever made out what the word love really connotes, not even the most famous people such as great politicians, saints and philosophers can clarify the meaning of love, neither can they deal with the various affairs concerning love. love is like a huge boundless net that shrouds us all in. we can neither break away from it nor escape from it. like it or not, we are always entangled in it. it is an invisible net without any form, that shrouds in different people from different angels; it is a merciless net that upsets us or even tortures us to death. it is also a supreme net which almost no human can surpass. even if they are heroes, emperors, wise men or saints, they can do nothing but show their helplessness in its face. those who can breathe through the holes of the net should be regarded beyond monness and vulgarity. love can bring us temporary fort and happiness, but mostly they bring about annoyance and sufferings. maybe this is the reason why many people have seen throughthe illusions of the mortal world. however it is not so easy to break away from this boundless, ever-existing and indifferent net of love.love is varied and changeable, but roughly it can be divided into three categories: family love, fraternal love and amatory love. not like monkey king who jumped out of the rocks, we were all born after mother's pregnancy of about nine months, hence we have countless relatives without any choice: parents, grand-parents, and grand-parents-in-law, uncles and aunties, brothers and sisters, etc. and once looking at the genealogical tree, we'll see no end. family love is what everyone longs for, but the warmth and support from our beloved ones are what everyone yearns for the most. but how many of us are determined to contribute to our beloved one? and how many don't expect repayment and relaxed. conscience even if they have the desire and preparation to contribute to their beloved. the distance between relatives is different and so are their expectations. but since it's very difficult to know how much we should expect, a lot of worries and distresses emerge.parents always expect their children to show their filial obedience, or at least pay them frequent visits after they have got married. if the children fail to do this, they feel hurt and upset, and they'll even plain about their children, because they just can't understand why their children don't care about them after what they have done for the children for so many years to bring them up. nevertheless, one's experience determines his ideology. young children are naturally attached to their parents, but when they grow up, specially when they have made their own friends, and got married, what they need most is independence and freedom, and parents sometimes might bee their burden. once there is generation gap, it bees more difficult to municate and this keeps them away from their parents. objectively speaking, they need more independence in order to achieve success. in the present society, what the children want to havemost is the economic support from their parents, not their moral support or guidance. they would plain if your economic support is not up to their expectations. the love from uncles and aunties would naturally dwindle after they have had their own children. only the love from grand-parents and grand parents-in-law is pure and demands no repayment, and they are also too old to wait for any repayment. as for the distant relatives, their love depends on their needs, just as the old saying goes the poor have no friends even if they live in downtown while the rich have distant relatives even if they live in deep mountains。

英语演讲稿篇1How to Be PopularMost people would like to be popular with others, but not everyone can achieve this goal. What is the secret to popularity? In fact, it is very simple. The first step is to improve our appearance. We should always make sure that we stay in good shape and dress well. When we are healthy and well-groomed, we will not only look better but also feel better. In addition, we should smile and appear friendly. After all, our facial expression is an important part of our appearance. If we can do this, people will be attracted to our good looks and impressed by our confidence.Another important step is developing more consideration for others. We should always put others first and place their interests before our own. Its also important to be good listeners; in this way people will feel comfortable enough to confide in us. However, no matter what we do, we must not gossip. Above all, we must remember to be ourselves, not phonies. Only by being sincere and respectful of others can we earn their respect. If we can do all of the above, I am sure popularity will come our way.如何才能受人欢迎大部分的人都想受人欢迎,但是并非每个人都能达到目标。

月亮的介绍简短演讲稿英语

月亮的介绍简短演讲稿英语The moon, our celestial neighbor, has captivated the human imagination for centuries. Its gentle glow in the night sky has inspired countless poets, artists, and dreamers. Today, I would like to take you on a journey to explore the fascinating world of the moon.First and foremost, the moon is Earth's only natural satellite. It orbits our planet at a distance of about 384,400 kilometers, exerting a gravitational pull that causes the ocean tides and influences the Earth's rotation. The moon's surface is covered with craters, mountains, and plains, giving it a rugged and otherworldly appearance. One of the most striking features of the moon is its phases. As it orbits the Earth, the moon goes through a cycle of waxing and waning, creating the familiar shapes of the crescent, half, and full moon. These phases are caused by the changing angles between the Earth, the moon, and the sun, and they have been observed and studied by astronomers for centuries. In addition to its phases, the moon also has a profound effect on Earth's natural environment. Its gravitational pull causes the ocean tides to rise and fall, creating a dynamic and ever-changing landscape along the coastlines. The moon's influence on the Earth's tides has been a source of fascination and wonder for scientists and poets alike.Furthermore, the moon has been the focus of human exploration and discovery. In 1969, the Apollo 11 mission successfully landed the first humans on the moon, marking a historic moment in human history. Since then, various space agencies and private companies have continued to study and explore the moon, seeking to unlock its secrets and potential for future exploration. In conclusion, the moon is a source of wonder and inspiration for people around the world. Its phases, influence on the Earth's tides, and role in human exploration have made it a symbol of mystery and beauty. As we gaze up at the night sky and marvel at the moon's gentle glow, let us remember the countless generations of dreamers and explorers who have been inspired by our celestial neighbor. Thank you.。

简洁好背的英语演讲稿范文1ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,i am chinese. i am proud of being a chinese with five thousand years of civilization behind. i‘ve learned about the four great inventions made by our forefathers. i‘ve learned about the great wall and the yangtze river. i‘ve learned about zhang heng and i‘ve learned about zheng says the yellow river civilization has vanished?i know that my ancestors have made miracles on this fertile land and we‘re still making miracles. who can ignore the fact that we have established ourselves as a great state in the world, that we have devised our own nuclear weapons, that we have successfully sent our satellites into space, and that our gnp ranks no. 7 in the world? we have experienced the plunders by other nations, and we have experienced the war. yet, based on such ruins, there still stands our nation----china,unyielding and unconquerable!i once came across an american tourist. she said,―china has a history of five thousand years, but the us only has a history of 200 years. five thousand years ago, china took the lead in the world, and now it is the us that is leading.‖ my heart was deeply touched by these words. it is true that we‘re still a developing nation, but it doesn‘t mean that we can despise ourselves. we have such a long-standing history,we have such abundant resources,we have such intelligent and diligent people, and we have enough to be proud of. we have reasons to say proudly:we are sure to take the lead in the world in the future again, for our problems are big,but our ambition is even bigger, our challenges are great, but our will is even greater.i am chinese. i have inherited black hair and black eyes. i have inherited the virtues of my ancestors. i have also taken over responsibility. i am sure, that wherever i go,whatever i do,i shall never forget that i am chinese!简洁好背的英语演讲稿范文2Hello everyone!i am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.five score years ago,a great american,in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the emancipation proclamation. this momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. it came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity.but one hundred years later, the negro still is not free. one hundred years later, the life of the negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. one hundred years later, the negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. one hundred years later, the negro is still languished in the corners of american society and finds himself an exile in his own land. and so weve come here today to dramatize a shamefulcondition.in a sense weve come to our nations capital to cash a check. when the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution and the declaration of independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every american was to fall heir. this note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. it is obvious today that america has defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. instead of honoring this sacred obligation, america has given the negro people a bad check,a check which has come back marked insufficient funds.Thank you!简洁好背的英语演讲稿范文3Good morning, its my honor to stand here and give you this speech about dreams. There I want to start my speech with two short stories. The first story happened when I was in primary school,I wrote in my composition that my dream was to be a teacher when I grew up. Meanwhile, what my classmates wrote about their dreams was that he or she wanted to be a doctor,a scientist or an astronaut. The second story happened at my first year in university. At the careers planning class, when the teacher asked about our dreams, one of my classmates stood up and said,“I want to be a farmer, because I grow up in a farmers family and I love to be engaged in agriculture.” When he sat down, everyone clapped. These two stories happened during my growth process, from which I got my understanding of dreams. When I was a child I believed that a dream must be a big dream, but when I grow up I find this big dream is so far away from me,I know little about it,and I have done nothing to achieve it,so its not my dream. My classmates answer let me know a real dream is not just about being a great man,or doing a great job,its about what you really want to be,and are willing to try every effort to pursue it.Because what makes a dream valuable is not just about the result, its also about the process, the process when you are trying, when you are struggling, when you failed and restarted again and again, because of the process, dreams can be meaningful and become your wealth.Thank you.简洁好背的英语演讲稿范文4Teachers,students:Good morning, everyone!Thanksgiving,is ubiquitous.
