民族手工业产品主要有各种金银首饰、民族宗教用品、氆氇、地毯等。
县政府所在地桑多镇周围森林茂密、邮电、通讯、医疗卫生、财政金融、商业贸易、文化教育等社会服务设施齐全。
每年藏历6月15日在类乌齐县举行的“仲确节”，是藏东地区最大的宗教节日，有800年的历史。
届时青海、四川、云南等地的人们蜂拥而至，在此朝拜寺庙、转山、进行物资交流，其场面热闹非凡。
类乌齐县自然资源极为丰富，开发利用前景广阔，也是经济高速发展所依托的主要优势。
概括起来有林业资源、矿产资源、水产资源、贵重药材和植物资源、旅游资源和畜产品资源等。
林业资源：类乌齐县森林密布，大部分保持着原始生态，也是野生动物的栖息地，经初步测定木材蓄积量为870多万立方米，森林覆盖率为26%。
野生树林有松树、柏树、桦树、野白杨等乔木类和杜鹃树、婆婆柳等各种灌木类。
水利和水产资源：吉曲、紫曲、格曲三大水系流经全县各乡镇，支流密布。
年平均泾流量为22、3亿立方米，潜藏着巨大的水利资源，高原无鳞鱼在全县均有分布，渔业资源十分丰富。
矿产资源：主要有煤、锡、铅锌、铜、菱镁矿、水晶石、铅石、石膏、云母、大理石、石灰石、食盐等。
可供规模开采的有煤、锡、铅锌、菱镁、食盐等。
植物资源：主要有贵重药材，如：虫草、知（贝）母、人参果、红景天、大黄、黄连、秦艽、雪莲花、党参、一枝篙、颠茄、三棵针等产量较大，动物性药品主要有鹿茸、麝香、熊胆等。
野生动物资源：主要有马鹿、獐子、石青羊、藏原羚、塔尔羊、棕熊、狼、猞猁、水獭、旱獭、狐狸、草狐、狸猫、猪獾、猴和秃鹫等。
畜产品资源：类乌齐县牧业比重较大，畜产品产量可观，年产奶5900吨，酥油75万斤，各类皮张8、7万张，牛羊肉4213吨，还有毛绒类，可建畜产品加工厂。
其它旅游景区点如下：名泉—伊日温泉位于距类乌齐县城75公里的伊日乡，海拔3850米，在昌都众多的温泉中伊日温泉的知名度很高。
伊日温泉是由地壳地质运动所造成的，多种岩溶形成的自然温泉群，有众多的温泉眼分布在长约100公尺的狭长地段，现形成一定流量并加以利用的有五个温泉小群。
温泉水温在30度至50度之间。
含有大量的十分丰富的矿物质和微生物。
伊日温泉除具有一般温泉所具的效用外还可治疗多种疾病。
比如：风湿性关节炎、半身瘫痪、小儿缺钙症、皮肤病等方面有极为明显的疗效，故无论冬夏来这里淋浴、治疗的患者从未间断。
加之，伊日温泉地处高山和森林的怀抱之中，自然风光十分秀丽、四面环山、山脚绿草茵茵、野花点点、古树参天、是休闲疗养不可多得的好去处。
每年大约有1500余人（次）到此休闲疗养，是一处有前景的旅游开发景点。
其他景点西藏萨迦寺导游词·西藏纳木错导游词·西藏拉萨导游词名洞——崩勒溶洞位于类乌齐县桑多镇何日玛行政村下何日玛自然村后山“崩勒”神山山顶处，海拔4300公尺。
“崩勒”溶洞亦因地壳地质运动造成岩溶地型而形成，因其位于“崩勒”神山顶部而得名。
“崩勒”神山据宗教史料记载为无量寿佛之神山，神山之上留有佛的脚印和先人书写文字的痕迹。
“崩勒”溶洞呈葫芦状向山顶延伸、洞口狭小、仅容一人通过，而后逐渐开阔，整个溶洞共分三层，洞深为67.5米、洞最宽处为360余平方米、洞的最高距离为16.8米，洞内有大量溶液景观、乳状溶岩石笋石竹随时可见、岩溶颜色斑斓、格外诱人。
莲花生佛的修练洞、拴马石、能吹奏海螺声的巨大海螺石更增添了溶洞的神秘和魅力。
溶洞对面山的一大片火烧林相传是“崩勒”神山与另一座山相斗留下的，或许这也就是“神山打仗、凡人遭殃”的例证吧！神山和神洞的完美组合，宗教神秘色彩和大自然的奇妙景观的融为一体，使的“崩勒”溶洞享有较高的知名度，每年吸引着本县以及八宿，昌都邻近的大量群众前来转山朝拜。
