4、转变教育理念，改变教学方式，以充分调动学生学习积极性为突破口，培养学生学习兴趣、进行学习方法指导、信心培养、沟通学生心灵为主，切实做好防差、转差工作(转差要“有计划、有目的、有组织”)。
树立“教学是学校的中心工作，质量是学校的生命线”的意识，加大转差力度。
(主要措施：提高课堂效率;培养学生学习习惯及兴趣;作好差生思想工作，鼓励其学习信心;加强学习方法指导;实施小组辅导与组长负责制;课后作业加大面批次数，勤检测，勤鼓励，单词亲自督促，组长负责检查，老师以单元过关检测为主，奖罚分明)。
加强检查及时评估,7年级和应以提高及格率为突破口，全面提高教学质量;8年级在提高学生阅读能力的基础上，加强学生的写作能力的培养。
5、继续做好同学科、同年级教师之间交流，共同制定进度计划，单元测试卷，互相学习(尤其向有经验的老教师学习)。
6、加大教学研究力度，积极进行新课改与信息技术整合，完成一篇高质量的教学反思、一篇优秀论文等。

作业的种类可分为：阅读、笔试年级应逐渐过度到以笔头作业为主。
八年级可适当增加阅读;要求学生写些书信、日记等应用文。
初中的英语教学在完成教材内容的同时，更应注意知识的延伸，内容的扩展。
全面提高学生综合运用英语语言知识的能力。
根据新课改目标的要求，除教材外，初一课外阅读应达4万单词，初二应达10万单词万词汇量。
作业的检查指定专人负责，七，八年级由各组长负责、老师抽查为副。
8、英语兴趣的培养是辅导学困生的一种方法和途径。
精心准备，上好每一节课，备课要做到有教学内容，教学过程，教学效果及信息反馈。
9、为使老师教学做到心中有数，全面了解学情，教学反馈
及时。
根据学校的统一安排，以学校组织的月考、期中和期末成绩为主要依据，对每个学生建立英语质量档案，对每个学生英语学习情况进行跟踪。
10，加强英语和其它学科的课程整合，利用现代化的教学手段，提高教学效率，充分利用我校现有资源，争取实现英语教学和计算机教学的有机整合。
