1）话题：Unit 1：Daming准备去美国看望奶奶和表哥 Simon一家。出发
的前一天接到奶奶从美国打来的电话，奶奶问 Daming是否为旅行做好了准备，Daming旅行临近时有些紧张，不知道自己是否准备妥当。于是奶奶就逐一询问Daming 需要携带哪些行李、是否清楚出发时间等，帮助 Daming理清头绪，消除紧张情结。
Unit 2：Unit2的课文则展示了两个小朋友制作的旅行海报。第一份海报 Hannah介绍了自己去年七月在英国 Brighton的旅行经历。她去了海滩，吃了炸鱼和薯条，还结识了新朋友 Daisy，现在她们还常有书信来往。第二份海报 Wang Fei介绍了他去年八月去泰山的旅行经历。他爬了山，进行了野餐，还遇到了同学，他们一起玩得很开心。

教材分析：
在小学英语阅读教学第一课时是要求学生能够基本理解课文含义，能就课文 当屮提出的问题做出简要的回答，因此针对四年级第十一单元内容该课第i课吋 应该作为阅读课文来分析。在《新课标》中，明确提出在小学阶段的“阅读”的 目标为：能借助图片读懂简单的故事或小短文，并养成按意群阅读的习惯；能正 确朗读所学故事或短文。第一课时不应要求学生立刻能够对故事的复述或描述， 应该以理解故事为主，要求学生能够理解、听懂和回答简单的问题。在后续的课 吋屮将继续对主要的语言现象(将来时和描述天气变化等)进行再处理，最后进 行综合实践。
本课时教学目标：
1、 学生能够基木理解课文含义，能就课文当中提出的问题做出简耍的回答;
2、 激发学生对于课文故事的学习兴趣。
