虽然我并没有任何压力，可妈妈却认为，进入决赛的同学们都是水平很高的，他们的英语白话非常好，你学英语起步晚，平常在家又没怎么练，对名次、奖励什么的别抱太大期望，重在参与就好。
听了妈妈的这番话，我并没有往心里去，而是继续认真的背诵演讲稿，心想，我一定要得奖。
时间不知不觉的来到了这一天，我心里多少也没底，因为其实不知道其他参赛选手的实力如何。
不过，我对自己还是有信心的，希望自己能获得一个不错的成绩。
那天下午，我早早的来到了比赛场地。
发现来了的同学们都在认真的看自己的演讲稿，我找到一个比较靠前的座位，边看演讲稿，边等待比赛的开始。
两点整，比赛正式开始。
主持人Ｖivian宣读了比赛规则以及评分规范。
然后让我们到评委席去抽签决定比赛顺序。
我本以为自己能抽到中间的位置，没想到竟然抽了个第二。
看来得好好发挥了。
很快就轮到我了，我从教师的手中接过话筒，走上舞台，先鞠了一躬。
之后稍作停顿，开始了演讲。
我演讲的内容是介绍我的学校生活，就像在家里无数次练习的那样，内容早已背诵的滚瓜烂熟，我其实不感到紧张。
只是，中途不知为什么，话筒仿佛出了问习题，时好时坏，使大家听到的声音是断断续续的。
我没有被这个小问习题干扰到，努力大声地演讲，等话筒一好就稍稍减弱声音。
这样，大家并没有听出声音有什么变化。
不知不觉中，我的演讲内容结束了。
这时候，轮到外教发问了。
我走下舞台，从一堆纸条里面任意抽了两张，分别是banana和boy，我认真看了一眼便作了答复。
ＯＫ,我顺利过关了，心情登时轻松了不少。
接下来，开始听其他选手演讲。
我本以为这次参加演讲的选手实力都很强，没想到几乎个个都紧张的不得了，影响了各自的实力发挥。
这让我悬着的心稍稍放了下来。
到了宣布结果的时候了，我紧张又认真的听着。
哦！我的总分是94分，竟然顺利的进入了前三名，获得三等奖！不光有奖学金，还有证书以及一套迪士尼学习用品。
看来，我的努力没有白费，如愿以偿的实现了我得奖的愿望。
但是，我不能骄傲，不能满足这小小的成绩。
今后我要再接再厉，多听多练，争取在英语白话方面更上一层楼，在以后的比赛中得到更好的成绩。

学校的几位教师来做评委，还有一位外教呢！
比赛开始。
首先，是两位主持人一番简短的介绍，然后选手开始挨个儿上台。
每个人都有一份课件，上面是演讲内容，选手要流畅地背出稿子，才能得高分。
他们一口流利的英语，听得我云里雾里。
我不由得感慨道，这就是差距啊！不过根据课件上的英文，我还是认出了一些单词。
选手的情况也不同：有的一口英语说得头头是道，听得人一愣一愣的；有的上了台过于紧张，忘了词，又下来整理整理思绪再上台；也有的背得不错，却出了一点小插曲的……可谓是千姿百态。
选手们讲的内容各不相同：有的流畅地讲了那些经典的故事；有
的介绍了自己喜欢的动物或东西；还有的讲了自己从一句话或者一件事中感悟的道理……内容各不相同。
通过这次比赛，我深切地领会到了：人外有人，天外有天。
