教材内容分析：
本单元以Talking about consequences为主线，让学生初步感受条件状语从句所发生的各种情境；初步掌握条件状语从句的句型与时态上的微妙差异。
本节课为本单元的第一课时，主要以听说为主。
因此，上好本节课将会为后面几课时的学习奠定良好的语言基础.
教学对象：八年级学生
教学目标：
（一）知识目标
初步领略与掌握条件状语从句的用法。
（二）能力目标
能准确运用If…，…will…句型，恰当运用现在时来表示将来时。
（三）情感目标
本课时创设的情境为party，学生应能体现“公益”精神，集大家智慧，开好一个party，使学生的团结协作能力在本课时中得到一定程度的提高，以及应该考虑培养学生在日常生活中多替他人着想的思想品德。

创设情境法，口语交际法，PAIRWORK 通过创设开放式教学情境，两人一组合作交流，使学生在具体的语言环境中感受IF引导的条件状语从句。

2 小组合作法，让学生之间相互交流，相互帮助，分工协作，共同完成任务，
培养学生团队精神。

1. Leading-in（听音乐创设情境）我利用多媒体播放一段英文歌曲“If you are happy”，创造英语教学环境，并引出本节课的学习内容.(1minute)
2. Discussing.(5minutes)
T: The year of May Day is coming, what are you going to do?
T: If we hold a May Day’s class party, what are you going to do?
引导学生用be going to句型讨论，之后，导入If从句，学生继续用be going to句型表达。
注意：此时务必要让学生完整表达If..., I’m going to ….
3. Pair work: May Day’s class party(10minutes)

该环节目的是想让学生强化训练If…， you’ll …. 句型或相关延伸拓展句型。
4. Listening: Section A. 1a, 1b (4minutes)
该听力测试难度并不大，学生在听之前的答案预测往往正确率会较高。
5. Group work: (10minutes)
Students work in a group of 2 to make up a conversation.
提供给学生2个问题，便于学生讨论：
Question 1. If you have a lot of money, what will do?
Question 2. If you have a robot, what will you let it do?
学生小组讨论时，我们教师应逐组旁听，引导学生尽量用If…， I’ll…句型，以及一般将来时的合理运用。
6. Listening: 2a, 2b(7minutes)
本环节听力训练中的2a部分较为简单，2b由于为写句子，学生肯定来不及，所以我们在备课前不妨降低难度，把答案句子挖空，把题目要求写句子改为单词填空，这样学生完成该听力才有的放矢。
7.Design: a student’s birthday party.(7minutes)
What will happen if we go do a party?
学生依然以group work形式为即将过生日同学设计一个生活party.
该活动设计意图是为学生提供一个真实生活场景，检验活学活用效果。
学生合作时重点应继续围绕条件状语从句的充分使用上。
8. Homework:(1minute)

尽可能多地用到If…，…will…句型。

教学评价与预测:
本课时的教学评价应该着眼于以下三个方面：
1. 学生在Group work 中是否能积极参与
2. 学生对于If引导的状语从句，能够主动运用
3. 学生在If引导的状语从句中，能够正确使用一般现在时来代替一般将来时。
本课时的教学预测可以是学生可能会以比较高的热情参与若干个情景小组讨论中，而难点可能在于复杂句的表述上，学生会感觉拗口，不顺畅；另外主句与从句中的时态差异，可能需要好几个课时的消化与攻克。

《新目标》八年级下册Unit 5 If you go to the party, you’ll have a great time!设计人：韶关市田家炳中学叶琳学情分析授课的班级是我校八年级（1）和（2）班，各班人数均为58人，大部分属于城市学生。
八年级的学生平均年龄在14岁左右，这年龄阶段的学生渴望成人化，喜欢从事他们认为能成为成年人的学习活动，并从探索活动中体验到最大的情绪满足。
这两个班的学生都喜欢新鲜事物，喜欢任务型的教学活动，思维也很活跃，乐于表达自己的思想和看法。
求知欲较强，喜欢参加一些探索性活动，学习积极主动，有较强的竞争意识。
在学习活动中能积极发言，主动质疑，不懂就问，有较好的自控能力，并具备了一定的英语基础知识和较好的语言表达能力、合作技巧及自主学习的能力。
但仍有一小部分学生学习的内在动力不足，缺乏自信心和学习毅力，表现在充满乐趣的学习活动中仍然欠积极主动，因此，在教学中努力营造宽松、民主、和谐的教学氛围，关注性格内向和学习有困难的学生，尽可能多地为他们创造语言实践机会。
此外，还须加强情感态度的培养，加强语言技能的训练和学习策略的指导，使学生在教师的指导下更好地建构知识、提高技能、磨砺意志、活跃思维、展现个性、发展心智和拓展视野，提高他们综合语言运用的能力，以保证较高的学习效率和发展自主学习的能力。
教材分析Unit 5的topic是Decision making, 主要任务是Talk about consequences. 让学生掌握以if引导的条件状语从句。
本单元要求掌握的目标语言有I’m going to dance with Karen and Ann. If you do , you’ll have a great time. Are you going to the party? Yes, I am. I’m going to wear my new jeans. You should wear your cool pants.这个单元要求学生掌握的词汇和短语有 jeans, organize, cousin, agent, chance, charity, dream, injured, take away, make a living.本单元是以party为主线，紧密结合学生的生活实际，设置了大量较为真实的情景，让师生在课堂上开展语言交际活动。

二、学习者特征分析本单元教材面对的是八年级学生，他们英语上听说读写等技能有一定的基础，能基本上用英语表达简单的句子及意思。
学习本单元之前接触过一些条件状语从句，也提到过主将从现得原则。
加上本单元的单词基本上都是他们学过的。
在前边谈论的话题的基础上进一步的引申，比如谈到规章制度，谈到未来的理想等话题，学生们都很熟悉。
所以在进行本单元的内容时如果能有效地温故而知新就减小了难度。
