这次习作的本质在于向你的亲朋好友介绍自己的家乡，书信仅仅是一种表现形式。
介绍自己的家乡要把着眼点放在两个方面：一是家乡的风光。
风光包括山水、风景、名胜、古迹等，可以是在一定区域内（全国、本省、本市、本县甚至本村）相对闻名的“大景致”，如泰山日出、黄果树瀑布、北戴河海滨、避暑山庄等。

要选择有代表性的介绍，如河北梆子、井陉拉花、蔚县剪纸、吴桥杂技，还有麻花、烧饼、丝绸、皮革、风筝、布艺，等等。

1.选好介绍的点，不能面面俱到。
不能眉毛胡子一把抓，贪多嚼不烂，别人不知道你的重点在哪里，也就失去了阅读兴趣。
2.抓住特点，具体生动地介绍。
要抓住风光、风俗最突出的特点、最吸引人的地方、最想让人知道的地方，写深刻，写细致，写具体，生动形象，富有感情。
不光要把它写到别人眼里去，还要写到人们的心里去。
如例文《给表哥的一封信》中说：“雨花石上有奇妙的花纹，像龙一样飞翔，像鲜花一样怒放，像海涛一样涌起，真是千姿百态。
”多么生动形象，入人耳目。
3.用书信的形式表现，给人以真实感和亲切感。
因此要完全按照书信的格式，起好头，结好尾，称呼、问候语、祝福语、落款、时间等行款正确、无误。
