初中英语教学中的皮格马利翁效应一、皮格马利翁效应的相关概要（一）皮格马利翁效应的来源皮格马利翁效应来源于远古时期的一个神话，相传古希腊的塞浦路斯国王皮格马利翁对雕塑艺术着迷，他亲自创作了一个理想中的女性雕像，并对其万分倾慕，视为伴侣。
他的真诚之心感动了爱神阿佛罗狄忒，使得这座女性塑像变成了真人，与之结为夫妻。
美国心理学家罗森塔尔对这个神话产生了兴趣，渴望通过实验来揭示神话故事中蕴含的心理学现象，1963年，罗森塔尔进行了著名的皮格马利翁实验，他周转于各个学校，声称已针对学校里的孩子完成了“未来发展趋势测试，并交出了最有发展潜质的学生名单，但事实上，这些名单上的学生是他随机挑选的。
几个月后，罗森塔尔发现，凡是出现在名单上的学生成绩都有了大幅进步，罗森塔尔肯定了“权威性谎言”在其中的重要作用，认为权威性谎言不仅暗示了教师，也暗示了学生，影响了教学过程中的语言与行为、情绪与态度，纠正了教师对学生的能力评价，重塑了学生的自尊与自信，从而改变了教学中的“初始模式”。
罗森塔尔将这种现象命名为皮格马利翁效应。
（二）皮格马利翁效应的内涵皮格马利翁效应基于三种社会教育心理机制，首先是气氛，皮格马利翁效应是一种在他人高度期待中催生的基于情感、关怀、支持的良性教育气氛。
其次是输入，教师向学生输入知识材料，传递激励、启迪、友好的坚定信念，推动学生朝着期待方向发展。
再次是反馈，在良好教育气氛中，教师对学生抱持高度期待，乐于指导、赞美学生，学生接受信息并付诸于行动。
由此，皮格马利翁效应可以表述为“期待—感应—接受—行为—外化”的心理程序，建立在期待者的权威性以及被期待结果的可能性之上，期待者的权威性越高，对学生输出的自信自爱力量越大，也越可能产生皮格马利翁效应，如果这时候期待者的期待结果被认为具有实现可能，那么在被期待者身上则一定会产生皮格马利翁效应。
二、皮格马利翁效应与初中英语教学（一）皮格马利翁效应与初中英语教学要求皮格马利翁效益以赏识教育为前提，赏识教育承认学生的差异性，尊重学生在不同成长背景下的区别性智力因素，侧重于赏识学生的优点与长处，满足学生的情感需要，用真诚的期待与爱心推动学生进步。
