Unit5 What Is He like【单元总目标】本套教材五年级上册Unit 7 She Looks Tall and Thin中学生已经学习过如何描述人物的外貌特征和爱好，本单元将以描述人物性格为主要话题，学习如何描述人物性格，让学生能够在教师的引导下结合已有的知识结构，进行知识的整合和能力的提升，逐步过渡到如何用英语描述家庭成员、朋友、动物等更多的相关信息。
本单元的教学分为4个课时。
第一课时以Part A中Let’s learn部分描述人物性格特点的词汇为主，将词汇和功能句教学融入到实际生活中，从谈论大家所熟知的教师、学生开始，帮助他们更好地理解和掌握语言知识；第二课时在上一课时所学内容的基础上，进行Part A中Let’s talk部分对话的学习，使学生进一步掌握功能句What’s he / she like? What do you think of her / him? He / She is clever / outgoing / shy.；第三课时以Part B中Let’s learn more部分的情景阅读为主要习内容，进一步学习运用一般过去时态；第四课时在有效拓展练习本单元的重点内容的基础上，完成检测，全面发展学生听、说、读、写的能力。

2学情分析小学高年级的学生已经出现了严重的两极分化现象:一部分是对学习英语仍保持着浓厚的学习兴趣,他们大多是英语成绩比较好的,他们好模仿、爱表现、爱发表意见、记忆力强,出在学习语言的最佳时期;同时有些学生活泼好动、注意力易分散,常凭兴趣做某事。
根据学生的这一认知前提,在教学中抓住学生的这一生理和心理特点,我运用各种教学手段激发学生的学习兴趣,调动积极性。
还有部分学生由于知识的漏洞太多,他们学习英语的积极性不高。
我会让这部分学生回答适合他们回答的问题。
