这两个词都与are 的关系密切。

2.These are eggplants. Those are tomatoes. 这些是茄子，那些是西红柿。
如果把Are放在句子开头，these（those）紧跟其后，那就是一般疑问句，意思是“这些（那些）是……吗？”读时一定要用升调。

4.－Are those cabbages? 那些是卷心菜吗？－No，they aren’t. 不，不是。
