一、说教材
今天我说课的内容是冀教版小学英语（三年级起始）六年级下册第一单元第六课。
第一单元主要围绕有关运动的话题展开。
本课讲的是一个穷人家的小男孩坚持追求自己的梦想，无论过程多么艰难，他的梦想最终成为了现实，这就是贝利成长为“一代球王”的故事。
二、学情分析
本课的教学对象是小学六年级的学生，这些学生从三年级开始学习英语，已经掌握了一些英语基础知识，有了一定的自主学习的能力。
本课的故事内容不长，有一些词汇没有学过，但是可以联系上下文猜测词义，不影响学生理解故事。
但涉及动词过去式较多，学生预习应多下功夫，以便很好的理解故事。
三、教学目标
知识与技能：
1、学生能够利用上下文、插图以及已有的知识和经验听懂并理解故事内容和细节信息。
2、学生能在教师的引领下回答关于这个故事的相关问题。
3、学生能在图片和关键词的提示下复述故事。
情感、态度与价值观：
学生能积极参与课堂学习活动，敢于开口，并于故事中体会到只有努力，才能有所成就的道理，以及做人要懂得感恩的道理。
学习策略目标：
1.学生能尝试阅读英语故事。
2.学生能利用自有资源主动进行简单预习。
3.学生能在故事阅读中积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流。
