教师要做的就是让学生辨认并正确说出每个节日的日期。
2．教师用汉语说出12个月份，要求学生用英语读出。
随意提问学生，学生快速作答，对不能迅速作答者，要鼓励。
3．教师出示画有重大节日的图片，如：元旦，元宵节，教师节，儿童节，中秋节等等，提问学生，先让学生用汉语说出具体的日期，老师再应用Whatday is it?句型提问，尽可能快速提问更多的同学，练习完毕后，老师带领学生学习教材，指导学生识记回答问题的方式。
学生熟读并背诵句子。
4.帮助学生认识节日，解释春节的日期不固定，取决于月亮（农历），但是一般是在一月二月。
5.让学生学会书写这些节日，注意首字母要大写，让学生在练习本上写一写6.教师出示日历，先检查学生察看日历的能力，指导学生正确识读日历。
并参照教材的设计，提问学生，领读对话，学生掌握对日期提问并作答的方法。
学生理解句式后，以小组为单位，互相提问练习，熟练后，教师随意抽查，对表现好的小组给以表彰，对表现不理想的小组，教师要鼓励，增强学生学习英语的自信心。
