一、教学目标
1. 能完成“Read and write”部分的阅读任务和写作任务，复习本单元的主要句型。
2. 能听懂“Let’s check”部分的录音并完成听力任务。
3. 能听、说、认读单词“want”，“send”，“email”，和“at”。
4. 能读懂“Story time”部分的趣味故事。
5. 培养学生综合运用英语的能力，保持学生高昂的学习兴趣和积极合作、交流的精神。
二、教学重难点
（一）重点
1. 能完成“Read and write”部分的阅读任务和写作任务，复习本单元的主要句型。
2. 能听懂“Let’s check”部分的录音并完成听力任务。
（二）难点
能灵活介绍自己会做哪些事情。
三、教学准备
1. 教师准备多媒体课件、课文情景动画或音频MP3。
另外还有教学挂图。
2. 学生准备蛇和老鼠的头饰。
三、教学过程
（一）课前热身(Warm-up)
1. 课堂口语练习。
T: Hello, boys and girls.
Ss: Hello, Mr/Miss...
T: Nice to meet you.
Ss: Nice to meet you, too.
2. 教师播放歌曲“What can you do?”的录音，全班学生跟录音大声歌唱歌曲，激发学生的学习热情。
二、课前预习(Preview)
游戏：剪刀、石头、布。
学生同桌玩“剪刀、石头、布”的游戏，赢的一方问“What can you do?”，输的一方用句型“I can …”回答。
设计意图：用竞赛型的游戏练习本单元的主要句型，激发学生的好奇心和开口说话的热情。
二、新课呈现(Presentation)
1. B. Read and write.
(1) 教学新单词。
教师用多媒体课件呈现邮件的图片，说：“This is an email, I want to send the email to my friend.”（教师边说边做发送邮件的动作），然后教师接着说：“I can send the email at mary@163com.”。
(2) 教师带领学生将新单词用“唱反调”的方式读几遍。

T: Do you remember the robot, Robin?（边说边出示机器人罗宾的图片）Robin wants a new friend. It writes something about itself. Let’s listen to the tape and see.
(4) 第一次播放教学录音，学生根据录音内容判断句子正误。
第二次播放教学录音，师生一起核对答案。
(5) Introduce yourself.
T: Do you want to be Robin’s fri end? Write three sentences about yourself.
学生写完后在四人小组内轮流介绍自己会做的事情，然后教师请两三位小组代表介绍本组的各位成员都会做些什么。
设计意图：小组合作活动能加深学生对彼此的了解。
2. B. Let’s check.
(1) 介绍听力任务。
T: Listen to the tape, see what John and Zhang Peng can do and fill in the blank.
(2) 第一次播放教学录音，学生根据录音内容完成选择和填空任务。
第二次播放教学录音，师生一起核对答案。
（四）巩固延伸(Consolidation & Extension )
C. Story time.
1. 教师介绍故事背景。
T: A snake meets a clever rat and wants to eat it. Can the rat get away? Le t’s read the story and see.
2. 教师展示本部分的教学挂图，让学生明白故事的大致意思。
3. 第一次播放教学录音，全班学生跟着录音读，提醒学生在跟读的过程中注意模仿录音中的语音、语调。
第二次播放教学录音，学生听完录音后回答下面的问题。
(1) What is the tasty food?
(2) Can the rat sing?
(3) Can the rat dance?
(4) Is the snake clever?

4. 学生在小组内练习分角色表演故事，然后教师请两子组学生上讲台表演，提醒学生表演时注意带上适当的表情和动作，教师评选出“最佳表演组”，并给予表扬。
（五）课堂小结(Summary)
师生一起总结本单元所学的词汇和句型。

第五课时一、课时内容教科书第9-10页：B. Read and write Let’s check.二、课时分析本课时是义务教育灵通版（pep）小学英语教科书五年级上册的第一单元第五课时，围绕“What’s he like?”这个话题展开内容。
包括Read and write和Let’s check.两个板块。
Read and write是阅读训练板块，是在学习A和B重点单词以及重点问答对话句型等两大板块之后，精心设置的灵活运用的升级板块，阅读内容是以一篇日记形式呈现的有关机器人Robin的描述。
并且配有五福图，第一幅图是Robin与人们打招呼，第二幅图是Robin双手分别托住很多盘子和碗，第三幅图是Robin用功学习，第四幅图是Robin正在做饭，第五幅图是Robin正在监督“我”完成“我”的作业。
机器人是学生们喜欢探讨的对象，谈论有关机器人的荣，学生们倍感兴趣。
阅读短文后面设置了两个训练板块，第一个是通过阅读日记内容，判断Robin 是什么样，在对应的单词右面打对勾或打叉；第二个训练板块是请学生们自己设计一个机器人，然后精心绘制出来，并且把自己设计的机器人的外貌以及性格特征描述出来。
Let’s check.是一个听力训练，共有两个听力板块，第一个是要求学生根据听到的内容选择所听到的单词并将这个单词圈出来，第二个是要求学生重新听取录音内容，并且根据所听到的内容回答问题。
这个板块的精心设置，证明在小学阶段学习英语，并不是简单的了解，而是要求学生们不仅要懂得其语句意思，还要回听懂英语内容，因此，这种听力板块的题型设计，请师生们一定要引起必要的重视，引导师生们在日常学习中，要注意多参与听力训练活动。
本课时要求学生们能够通过阅读短文内容，完成与短文内容相关的训练，以及能够根据自己所听到的内容，圈出正确单词，并且能够根据所听到的内容正确回答问题。
这是学生们对学到的重点词句的灵活运用的实践检验的具体方式。

教学难点：能理解和朗读文本材料中“Try me”、“send me an email”、“robin@”等词句；能灵活介绍自己并能正确书写介绍自己的句子，完成邮件。
