《肖申克的救赎》英语观后感全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1The Shawshank Redemption: A Timeless Tale of Hope and PerseveranceWhen I first sat down to watch The Shawshank Redemption,I didn't expect to be so profoundly moved by a film about life ina brutal prison. But from the opening scenes, I found myself drawn into the powerful story of Andy Dufresne, a man who refused to let the injustice of his circumstances break his spirit. Over the course of nearly 2.5 hours, I laughed, I cried, and I came to understand why this 1994 classic is regarded as one of the greatest movies of all time.Based on the novella by Stephen King, the film follows Andy (Tim Robbins) after he is sentenced to life in the notorious Shawshank prison for the murder of his wife and her lover, a crime he vehemently denies committing. Despite the harsh realities of prison life, Andy clings to his unwavering sense of hope and desire for freedom, qualities that inspire his fellowinmates and form an unlikely friendship with the prison contraband smuggler Red (Morgan Freeman). From the moment he arrives at Shawshank, Andy carries himself with a quiet dignity that defies the dehumanizing forces around him. In one of the film's most poignant scenes, he passes a cold winter's night trapped in the depths of the prison's restraint room. As the camera pans over his shivering form huddled on the floor, I felt Andy's despair and loneliness. Yet when the first rays of sunlight stream through the room's high window, he slowly rises, rejuvenated by his unshakable faith that he will one day breathe free again. It is this strength of character that allows Andy to not only endure Shawshank's harsh existence but to make it a better place. He becomes a beacon of hope for his fellow "prison-mates," opening their eyes to the voices of great writers through his makeshift library. In doing so, Andy rekindles theirlong-forgotten senses of self-worth and humanity. You can't help but root for him as he carves chess pieces from rock and crafts an entire baroque opera with meticulous, loving detail. While Andy's fortitude powers the film's emotional core, it's the exceptional acting that brings the story to life. Tim Robbins delivers a performance that is at once understated yet incrediblypowerful. With just a look or a simple intonation, he conveys volumes about Andy's inner resilience and the yearning for freedom that burns within him. His cocky grin as heoverhears a guard berating a fellow inmate, secretly reveling in his long-con, still brings a smile to my face.Morgan Freeman matches Robbins' excellence as Ellis "Red" Redding. From the moment he introduces himself as the guy who can "get it for you" at Shawshank, you can't take your eyes off the cocksure, charismatic Red. Throughout the film, Freeman's velvety voice effortlessly guides us through Red's gradual awakening and redemption, allowing us to share his awe and bewilderment as the indomitable force of Andy's spirit slowly changes his cynical worldview.Every aspect of The Shawshank Redemption feels lovingly crafted, from its deft blend of heartwarming humor andsoul-crushing drama to the iconic score by Thomas Newman. Roger Deakins' rich cinematography makes even the cold gray walls of the prison come alive, bathing key moments in shafts of warm, inviting light. It all coalesces into a cinematic experience that sticks with you long after the final, life-affirming scene. For me, The Shawshank Redemption's true power lies in its ability to inspire hope in the bleakest of circumstances. Bychronicling Andy's long journey, it shows that holding onto your dreams is a form of peaceful rebellion against the cruelties and injustices of the world. His refusal to let his spirit be crushed reminds us that, as Red so eloquently states, "hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things." It's a message that feels particularly poignant in these troubled times.More than that, the film left me marveling at the resilience of the human spirit when faced with adversity. We all encounter metaphorical "prisons" in life, whether they come in the form of personal struggles, societal pressures or simple bad luck and timing. But Andy's journey shows us that with courage, patience and an unshakable spirit, even the most hopeless situations can be overcome and transcended.Perhaps that's why The Shawshank Redemption has stood the test of time as a bonafide classic since its humble release nearly 30 years ago. It's a stark, unflinching look at the human condition, but also a timeless affirmation that our circumstances need not define who we are. Hope, as Andy proves so vividly, can truly set us free. And for a couple hours, I got to share in the most hopeful of stories.篇2The Shawshank Redemption: A Timeless Masterpiece of Hope and PerseveranceAs a student of literature and film, I have had the privilege of exploring countless cinematic masterpieces, each offering a unique perspective on the human condition. However, few have left an indelible mark on my soul quite like Frank Darabont's "The Shawshank Redemption." Andy's unwavering belief in his eventual freedom, coupled with his determination to improve the lives of his fellow inmates, serves as a poignant reminder that hope can flourish even in the bleakest of circumstances.Furthermore, the film's portrayal of perseverance is nothing short of inspiring. Andy's meticulous planning and execution of his escape plan, spanning decades, is a testament to the indomitable strength of the human spirit. Each painstaking step he takes, from acquiring a rock hammer to tunneling through the prison walls, reinforces the idea that with unwavering determination and patience, even the seemingly impossible can be achieved.Visually, "The Shawshank Redemption" is a masterclass in storytelling. Darabont's direction is deliberate and purposeful, allowing the film's powerful moments to unfold organically. Theiconic scenes, such as Andy's defiant playing of Mozart's "Duettino - Sull'aria" over the prison loudspeakers, or the breathtaking reveal of his escape, are etched into the collective consciousness of cinephiles worldwide. The performances in the film are nothing short of remarkable. Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman bring a depth and authenticity to their roles that elevate the narrative to new heights. It has taught me the importance of perseverance, the value of friendship, and the necessity of holding onto hope, even in the darkest of times. "The Shawshank Redemption" is not just a movie; it is a work of art that transcends its medium, offering a poignant commentaryon the human experience that will resonate with audiences for generations to come.In conclusion, "The Shawshank Redemption" is a cinematic masterpiece that has rightfully earned its place among the greatest films of all time. However, few have left an indelible mark quite like "The Shawshank Redemption." This cinematic gem, directed by Frank Darabont and based on the novella by Stephen King, is a testament to the enduring power of hope, resilience, and the indomitable human spirit. The film's narrative follows the journey of Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins), a banker wrongfully convicted of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment at the infamous Shawshank State Penitentiary. From the moment he steps through the imposing gates, we are drawn into Andy's plight, his unwavering belief in his innocence, and his determination to maintain his dignity in the face of unimaginable adversity. What struck me most profoundly about "The Shawshank Redemption" is its ability to seamlessly blend themes of friendship, hope, and perseverance into a gripping and emotionally resonant tale. Andy's unwavering spirit and his refusal to succumb to the bleakness of his surroundings serve as a beacon of inspiration, not only for his fellow inmates but for viewers like myself. The performances in this film are nothing short of extraordinary. Tim Robbins embodies Andy with a quiet strength and a steadfast resolve that is both captivating andawe-inspiring. His portrayal of a man who refuses to let his circumstances define him is a masterclass in acting. Equally impressive is Morgan Freeman's portrayal of Red, Andy's closest friend and confidant within the prison walls. Freeman's narration is a melodic tapestry that weaves together the various threads ofthe story, lending both gravitas and a sense of poetic justice to the proceedings. One of the most remarkable aspects of "The Shawshank Redemption" is its ability to find beauty and hope in the most unlikely of places. The prison setting, which could have been a suffocating and oppressive backdrop, instead becomes a canvas for the exploration of the human condition. Whether it's the breathtaking operatic scene in the prison yard or the intricate details of Andy's escape plan, the film manages to inject moments of transcendence into even the darkest of circumstances.Furthermore, the film's exploration of themes such as corruption, injustice, and the flaws of the judicial system resonates deeply with me as a student of society and its complexities. The portrayal of the sadistic warden (Bob Gunton) and the systemic failures that enable his cruelty serve as a poignant reminder of the importance of integrity and the pursuit of justice.Perhaps what resonates most with me, however, is the film's overarching message of hope and the belief that even in the bleakest of situations, the human spirit can prevail. Andy's journey is a testament to the power of resilience and the ideathat no matter how dire the circumstances, there is always a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. This message is particularly poignant in today's world, where we are often bombarded with news of conflict, injustice, and despair. In conclusion, "The Shawshank Redemption" is a cinematic masterpiece that transcends the boundaries of time and genre. It is a film that speaks to the very essence of what it means to be human – to endure, to hope, and to never surrender in the face of adversity. As a student and a lover of film, I cannot recommend this movie highly enough. It is a timeless classic that will continue to inspire and uplift generations to come, reminding us all that even in the darkest of times, hope is a flame that can never be extinguished.。

Both Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman do a fine job interms of making their roles genuine and appealing, and also in the way they work so well together. The production values throughout are outstanding, but this is not a “fancy” film. Rather, it sticks to the story it is telling without resorting to flashy tricks to grab the audience’s attention. 《肖申克的救赎》英文观后感

《肖申克的救赎》英文观后感肖申克的`救赎英语读后感I think this movie is very meaningful. I like it very much. You must think so too. You must all have a lot to say. But according to what we have appointed, I’m the Chair, so please let me show you my opinion first. The story begins with the trial of a young banker, Andy Dufrense, victimized by circumstantial evidence, resulting in a conviction for the murder of his wife and her lover. After a quick conviction, Andy finds himself serving a life sentence at Shawshank prison, with no hope of parole. He exists in this prison only in appearance, keeping his mind free from the drab walls around him. His ability to do this results in the gaining of respect from his fellow inmates, but most of all from Ellis Redding. Ellis, commonly referred to as Red, finds gainful use of his entrepreneurial spirit within the drab walls of Shawshank by dealing in contraband and commodities rare to the confines of prison. Andy's demeanor and undeniable sense of hope causes Red to take a deeper look at himself, and the world around him. Andy proves to Red and the other inmates that in the conventional walls of Shawshank prison convention will find no home in his lifestyle. As far as I’m concerned, this movie shows us three things: freedom, friendship, and hope. If we take a movie as a novel, thenis a great novel without doubt. It reflects the real social life, and creates several typical characters with Classic Quotes and a few kinds of modifications. This movie organizes the main scenario of the story in a simple way and at the same time using some petty lines. It expresses the subject in a very artistic way. There were three words, the first is freedom. However, what impressed me is nearly everyone in the prison got accustomed to the prison life. What’s more, an old man even suicide after he was set free. I have a very deep feeling of friendship. The second word accrued to me is friendship. Friendship is a necessary in our life. In this movie, the friendship between Andy and Red moved me. It gave me an idea: getting a real friendship is more important than money and power. Friendship is really important, and in my opinion, it is very hard to get a real friendship. When we don’t have a real friend, we will feel very lonely. I may have this feeling during these days. That is really incredibly hard. Also there are some sentences in the movie that really impressed me. The sentence I like most is “hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.”Because I think, it encourages people appreciate the beauty of life, to keep their hope in heart forever.“It was as if some beautiful birds had flapped into our drab little cage and made these walls dissolve away, and for the briefest of moments, every last man in Shawshank felt free.”From this sentence, I start to know that, in fact, something cannot be noticed at all. That is like the freedom of our heart. We need it, just like you have never forgotten it.Another one is: “Fear can hold you prisoner. Hope can set you free.A strong man can save himself. A great man can save another.”I like this sentence because it teaches me to let me full of courage and hopes. It urges me to have the determination to succeed. In the end, I want to use a sentence to summarize this movie: Fear can hold you prisoner. Hope can set you free.。
肖生克的救赎观后感英文版

肖生克的救赎观后感英文版Firstly, the film masterfully portrays hope as a powerful force that transcends the bleak confines of prison. Andy Dufresne, played with quiet resilience by Tim Robbins, embodies this notion. Despite being wrongfully convicted and subjected to brutal conditions, Andy never loses sight of his hope for freedom. His meticulous planning of an escape, symbolized by the iconic tunnel excavation, becomes a metaphor for the persistence of hope even in the darkest moments. This resonates universally, reminding us that hope is not just a passive sentiment, but an active choice that can shape our reality.Secondly, the film underscores the transformative power of genuine friendship. The unlikely bond between Andy and Red, portrayed poignantly by Morgan Freeman, exemplifies this. Their friendship transcends racial barriers and defies the dehumanizing nature of prison life. It is their unwavering support for each other that sustains them through years of hardship, offering solace, laughter, and a shared sense of purpose. Their story emphasizes that even in the most oppressive environments, authentic humanconnections can nourish the soul and provide a glimmer of light amidst darkness.Lastly, the film celebrates the irrepressible human spirit that refuses to be broken by external circumstances. Both Andy and Red demonstrate remarkable resilience and dignity throughout their ordeal. Andy's intellectual prowess, artistic pursuits, and his audacious acts of defiance against the corrupt prison system showcase his unyielding spirit. Meanwhile, Red's journey towards self-reflection, acceptance, and ultimately, his embrace of hope, illustrates how even those who have resigned themselves to their fate can rediscover their will to live and break free from their metaphorical prisons. In conclusion, "The Shawshank Redemption" is a cinematic masterpiece that profoundly explores hope, friendship, and the resilience of the human spirit. It reminds us that even in the bleakest of situations, these intangible qualities can sustain us, liberate us, and ultimately, redeem us. The film serves as a testament to the enduring power of hope, the transformative nature of friendship, and the irrepressible spirit within each of us, leaving an indelible mark on viewers' hearts and minds.。
肖申克的救赎 观后感 英文版

《肖申克的救赎》英文观后感‘Brooks was here’Brooks’s hands were shaking slightly while he was carving, with a solemn look, in a western dress and lether shoes. It was an old man who had stayed in prison for a few decades. Once he left the cage of prison, he chose to die instead of showing any happyness. Freedm and factual society seemed prison to him, just no walls. It was much more horrible than the prison with walls. He woke up in the midnight and was awake because of fear. Nobody gave him a guidance, no group he belonged to. He really had no way to adjust the strange and totally new world. When he was packaging in the supermarket, his fear could be find in every wrinkle. He was fading hopelessly. When he was sitting on the bench in the park, the loneliness was stronger than those grids iin the prison. His only wish was if the bird with freedom will come to have a look at the lonely old man.I can’t believe it that this was the purpose of punishing a prisoner. Years ago, he might be leyond redemption. But, after a few decades,he was just a old man without abilities. When he was in the society which was decades away from that he knew, he can't adapt to it, filled with all kinds of new technology. At this moment, if you have the desire to walk into the film to comfort the old man? Wasn’t he the same age as our grandpas? He had no abilities to harm the society any more. There is no doubt that when we watch the film The Shawshank Redemption, most of us are deeply impressed by Andy’s personal heroism. As a matter of fact, there is the first row in a classroom, and also the last row. All these seats must be filled with people. There are great men in the society, and also prisoners. Someone promote historical progress, and someone drag its heels. What we should do is to improve the level on the whole, rather than let everyone admire great men. After all, great men take up a pretty small part, so are heroes. It’s unrealistic to spend all the power to foster a hero. Because you need to satisfy others as well. So, it's better to let everyone try to make progress. So I prefer to believe that the director aimed to encourage humanistic care in the way of telling heroism. He said, ‘Some birds are not meant to be caged, their feathers are just too bright…’However, such birds are not common to see. There is only one The Shawshank Redemption in the world, or, you can say Prison Break as well. Yeah, ‘Fear can hold you prisoner, hope can set you free. A stronger man save himself, a great man can save another.’ When Michael carried out it, he also showed an altitude that they were trying for inocence. If the law system was perfect as to no grievances, they wouldn’t exist. It is the society’s ignorance of this aspact that made them show up tragically. Just as there won’t be hate without reasons, no revolt without revolt.I think that I will always cherish the memory of the sadness and loneliness when Brooks left the prison. That was a kind of silent struggle which was ignored by a group. Red and Brooks lived totally different lives with the same loneliness. I think that what made the difference was the power of hope. Andy was a representitive of the power of thoughts, an altitude of tenacious self-saving, a kind of struggle consciousness more than a great man of guidance. We don’t want to see the ‘wonder’created by the director became a swan song. So the film was spreaded for several decades. Everyone can experience the hope brought by the film. Everyone can save himself and others, if he wants to. At the end of the film, there was large area of blue sea which formed bright comparison with the depression in the prision. That was the mostshiny and cosy blue I have ever met. That was the colour of freedom. When you step over what you thought it was impossible, you will posses the beauty of the bloom in prosperous during your life.。

God walks with the human soul at alltimes! In the name of religion, doctrine, law and even justice, many people inmodern society, like The warden NORTON, have lost their basic honesty andcharacter as a human being in the name of personal and group self-interest, inthe name of exculpation, rhetoric and sophistry. When a man is accustomed toacting and without introspection, he has fallen into the hell of eternaldamnation, let alone redemption!肖申克的救赎观后感英语篇7The story took place in 1940. A man who is a banker calledAndy Dufresne, was sent into the Shawshank prison, for he murderer his wife and her lover in bed. However, he was innocent as he said. The new days in the prison were hard to live. It’s violent, heartless and cruel. Nevertheless, A month later, Andy began to make friends with other prisoners. And one of them called Red, who could get anything what he wanted. Andy bought a mallet from him and started his plan to escape. During this time, he did many things: expanding the library, caving stones, helping the corrupt warden to get money or bribe, etc. Then a young prisoner’s coming break his quiet life in jail. But the warden killed the young prisoner the only man that knew Andy was innocent. Then he knew the prison he could not stay any more. It took him 20 years to tunnel secretly and he successfully escaped from the prison. When he got free, Andy sent the evident which could prove the warden corruption, briber and murdering to the policy agency. Before that, Andy had told his best friend Red that his dream---Zihuatanejo, a warm place without memory. After escaping, Andy lived a free life in another identity and made the prison governor arrested. Several years later, Red was approved to leave. for the promise to Andy. Finally, in Zihuyatanejo, they met.The cruel prison life terrified me and the friendship moved me. The story goes to a happy ending---redemption. This film im pressed me a lot. A sentence was said in the film: ’Some birds aren"t meant to be caged, but most birds will choose to stand it.’In this film, as we can see, the Shawshank Prison, which enjails lots of people. They have been in the prison form many years ,so they won’t go abroad. Because they won’t and also they can’t. They lived here for years without hope, and they lived just in the small prison, where nobody knows what is theirdream and what’s their hope. As I remember, a old man Brooks was released after he had been in the jail for 50 years. But he found that the world became completely different from the world he imagined. For example, he seldom see cars before. He felt very strange and helpless to the outside world He can hardly adapt to the new developed world. He would rather stay in the prison. So unfortunately he chose to commit suicide. However, on the contrary, Andy said a converse sentence:’ Some birds aren"t meant to be caged, that"s all. Their feathers are just too bright’ He long for the fre edom and strive for it! What I remember very clearly is someone said that These walls are kind of funny things like that. First, you hate them, then you get used to them. Enough time passed, get so you depend on them. That is institutionalizing. But Andy h adn’t been affected. He insisted on his faith of freedom. He dared to pursue his deserved freedom! That’s the first point I appreciate. What’s more, another thing I think is friendship. Of course, Andy’s perseverance and endeavor is the main reason that he succeed in escaping. But it can’t be denying that friendship is also a important reason. Without the friends’ help in the prison, especially red’s, He can’t break the prison, too. Even in the jail which is the most evil place that Andy could make it a significance place. He had transformed a storage room smelling of turpentine into the best prison library in New England. Then the prisoners read the books and got knowledge from it. Andy also helped them to pass the high school equivalency. The glitters of him lighted others’ life. That helps him built many sincere friendships in the prison. He just too bright that didn’t belong to the prison .Then he escape and gained the freedom.Furthermore, the patience, courage and b willpower are thekeys to escape. 20 years, not a short ordeal time, but he endured. He made his plan day by day, week by week and year by year. He never gives up. he took nearly twenty years to dip a tunnel with a little rock hammer which Red said it would take a man 600 years to tunnel under the wall with one of these to fight for his free .And he did it finally. Please imagine, crossing the tunnel he dup, he still should crawled through five hundred yards of shit-smelling foulness. That is the length of five football fields. Then is the last but not least, I think. He has the bright brain ,the never fading persistent, and the most important thing----hope. Just as Andy said to Red: Hope is a good thing, may be the best of things. In this film, Andy show us that how good thing the hope is. Yes , hope is a good thing. Whatever it is, it can’t lock the hope. We all have dream. We all have hope. We all have it and please never give up, like Andy. This film, Shawshank Redemption, teaches me a lot. It deserves to be one of the most overwhelming films in the Hollywood.肖申克的救赎观后感英语篇8Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies!I can’t agree with it any more. In the film, the walls of the prison can bind people’s freedom. But they can not deprive people’s hope. The hero, Andy, never abandons the desire for freedom, and he keeps up working for his hope. Every night andy uses the little hammer to dig the wall that in others’ opinion, it will takes hundreds of years to dig through. He makes all preparations for leaving the prison. So he succeeds, and regains the precious freedom. It is hope that helps Andy get through painful prison life and regain the freedom. At the same time, hopesaves his friend’s life too. Therefore, in real life, no matter how difficult the situation is, we shouldn’t give up our hope. We should stick to work hard for the hope. In this way our life will not lose its significance. So please remember, Hope is a good thing, and no good thing ever dies!肖申克的救赎观后感英语篇9The story took place in 1947.the banker Andy, had misjudgment committed the crime of murder which suddenly pushed Andy’s life to a world of hell.He was sentenced to life imprisonment, sent to Shawshank . However, Andy did not give up hope successfully escaped from prison and gave free The story may sound simple, but the truth behind the words is remarkable. When I heard the name of the film first time, I considered the Shawshank to be a man’ name, but in face it is a jail——a hell in the world. Not only for the inhumanity of the jailors——they behaved rudely but also for the jail gnawed at people’ heart by keeping them waiting and waiting as life passed. It seemed that only those utterly worthless people who gave up everything could survive. That’s where the story happened. The part impressed me most is when Andy got out of the jail. He extended his arms in front of him in the heavy rain as if he were welcoming the fresh air and the freedom. At that moment, I saw the faith win the darkness, discharging light dazzling the eyes in the dark blue sky. Under the light, I could feel my recreant innermost being shivering as his voice said: “Remember, Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies!”That’s why I like this film: it encourages people to fight topreserve the dignity of human beings, to appreciate the beauty of life, and the most important is to keep hope forever. Everyone is the same. The only difference is whether busy living or busy dying.肖申克的救赎观后感英语篇10Remember, Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies!Andy in the film there is such a word: " Don't forget that there are ... Places ... In the world that are not made up of stone, there is something ... Inside ... That they can not get to ... That is hope ( don't forget the world through walls, all things, there's something inside, that they cannot get to, that they cannot touch, that is hope ) ". Indeed, as ANDY said, the wall can bind our body freedom, even in the system that can bind our spiritual freedom, but only hope can not give up. Lose hope of life is dull, lifeless, and even there is no significance. ANDY in my heart has not abandoned the desire for freedom, but he has also been hope for their own efforts -- every night to use the hammer to dig RED that hundreds of years to dig through the wall. And for RED and BROOKS, they had to give up hope, because in their view of hope can only make yourself more pain, even think hope is the source of the pain. A man in the 19 years of painful prison life, do not give up longing for freedom, this is a kind of spiritual beliefs, so he succeeded, recapturing their freedom, the judgment of the Lord fell quickly.肖申克的救赎观后感英语篇11Today,I will introduce a movie to you.Do you know this movieWho have watched this movie beforeOk, one question for you. Just imagine you are caught by police one day for some reason. All the evidence show that you have killed someone, butactually you are innocent, somebody else is responsible. Finally, you are sent into prison for a sentence of several years. What will you do No evidence can prove your innocence. All of you can think about this question, because it does happen in our real life. what do you thinkNow this happens to the hero in this movie.Let's see what the hero will do.This is our hero,Andy, a banker , whowas wrongly accused of murdering his wife, and is sentenced to two consecutive life sentences at Shawshank. This is Norton, thewarden,a cruel man . Here is Red ,if you're sensitive enough, you can find Red is the first three letters of Redemption, rightRed is rejected for parole after having served twenty years of his sentence.Red and Andy gradually became friends. Red is able to get some small goods for the prisoners, so Andy asked Red for a rock hammer because of his interest in carving rocks .But with this hammer, Andy escaped from the prison. This is amazingAndy dug a big hole on the wall for 19 years and hid it with a poster, just beyond our imagination. He crawled through 500 yards and then a pipe full of shitsmelling dirty water .Finally he got freedom. You know, the freedom is waiting for you out of theshawshank. Consequently, If i were Andy ,i can break through the dirty water. But what about 19 years to dig a big hole. Will you do itAnother thing is , do you think Andy is just keeping digging every day during the 19 yearsOf course not. I think this is the most amazing part of the movie. He played music, every man felt free;he expanded the library by writing one letter per weeks to the government to ask for money to rebuild the liberary; he helped T ommy to read from ABC's.What's more,he helped the guards do tax returns, evenincluding Norton.Of course, he would help Norton, because Norton killed Tommy.Tommy can prove his innocence.Out of the prison ,Andy mailed norton'sevidence of crime to the government, and then his judgment will unavoidable come. He killed himself.Red was faced with the same situation with Brooks, after he was out of the prison. That is he cannot adapt himself to the life out of the prion, and even worse, he have no hope about his new life out theshawshank. But, finally, because of Andy, Red found a different way of life, full of hope.Andy once said,"hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies." so he decided to go to Buxton and start a new life. They met again in the coast of Pacafic Ocean.Because time is limited, i can't mention all the details of the movie. You'd better watch it yourself, everyone could find something precious inside. Thanks foryou attention!。

Reading ReportName of book:The Shawshank of Redemption(a short story from his sample reels named Different Seasons)Writer’s name:Stphen King who is one of the most popular thriller writers. Summary:This story happened in 1947.Andy was a banker. One day he knew that his wife was detailed, and he planned to kill her and her lover after drank so much. Finally, Andy gave up his plan. But others found that they were killed in the bed that night. Andy was arrested because he was accused to be the murder who had the reason to kill the two people, and no ones believed he was innocent. The result is that Andy had to spend the whole in Shawshank prison. Red(Ellis Boyd Redding) had been spent a long in the prison, he could get almost anything if you have enough money. The first goods Andy asked Red to buy was a hammer which used to carve, and he said he could hide it so that guards could not find. They became friends after Andy bought some goods.Once, Andy heard guards were talking about tax, and he said to them that he could help them reduce taxes illegally. As for change, they had to give him and his partners 3 bottles of beer. Red knewwhat Andy needed was just a moment of freedom. Andy was arranged to manage the library. In order to have more books for prisoners, he wrote a letter once a week to show his desire, he achieved his goal after 6 years. After he began to help Warden Samuel Norton make money which was beyond the law as well as dealt some necessary documents. A thief who knew Andy was not the murder came here, Andy was really happy because this was only chance to get out the prison legally. Samuel said he would try his best to help Andy, in fact Samuel killed the thief. Andy realized only he could redeem himself. It was a successful prison break, and what he used just the hammer that bought from Red. It cost Andy more than 20 years to dig the hole which was behind the actress’s poster. He got the money which was Samuel’s, and sent the proofs to government. Samuel killed himself. Red also got out of the prison because of parole, he found Andy. Finally, they lived together freely and peacefully beyond the sea.MY POR:The Shawshank Redemption is my favorite story. Without love and family, it still a popular and profound story. I think the personality of the hero draw people’s attention. Thinking of that, if we were the hero, what would you do? Staying in the prison till the end of life or fighting against the devils till they kill you? If you wanted to get out of the prison, what would you? I can not imagine that. Story alwaysexaggerate the fact, at least we can still learn something from the story.First, never be despaired whenever life seems helpless. Often in life, events occur that we truly can not control. The company we are working for “downsize” and we get laid off. Our spouse leaves us. A family member becomes ill, or someone close to us dies. The government cuts a program we have depended on. In those situation, we may feel as if there is simply nothing we can do to make things better. Never be despaired! There is always a way when it is the right time. What you have to do is just going through the hard time, you will soon balance your life. Hope is a strong moral power that makes you endeavor to achieve your goals. A man can do nothing without hope.Second, change yourself if you can not change the world. It is the survival of the fittest, It is also the reason why our human beings can live till now. It is the most available rule for us who will graduate soon. In my opinion, most young people who were born after 1980s are always thinking themselves more or less. Some of them are too self-esteem so that they never want to change themselves. Maybe this is a reason why most young people canoe work at a company for a long time. It may difficult to change yourself at the beginning, but if it is the only way that you can live, you have to do it. On the other hand, you do not have to change all your personalities, you need characters to let others know you.Third, never justify people by their past. There is no perfect man in the world, so everyone may make mistakes. The prison is foe who made serious mistakes. It is unfair to say all prisoners are bad guys. I think some of their instincts are not so bad. besides, the life of prisoner who get out of the prison is really hard to live. In the story, there was an old man who had stayed in the prison for 70 years. He was respected by everyone because he was a wise man with great knowledge. He could teach other prisoners many things. He even had a position, which was to manage the library. But after he got out of the prison, he became an idle man who could do nothing. The world has changed so much during the past 70 years. Finally, he worn his best clothes then hung himself, he just wanted to die with esteem. No company will employ a prisoner. No matter what changes have taken place, they will not be treated the same with others. Maybe we should give them a chance to start new life, or they will break the law again because they can not live just like ordinary people.Through this story, we also see some social problems. Lust, Authority, Money, Hatred. If someone addicted themselves to such things, the prison is the final destination. As for us, what we should do learn is how to keep an ordinary heart when we succeed. Too proudmakes people get into a harmful situation. The way to true success isto learn how to control your mind.A good story makes you think a lot. This is why I like The shawshank Redemption. We are all adults now, we have to know more beyond what we learned from books. For we have responsibility to our country even to the world.BEAUTIFUL SENTENCES:1. Remember, Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies!2. I guess it comes down to a simple choice: get busy living or get busy dying.3. Fear can hold you prisoner , hope can set you free. A strong man can save himself, a great man can save another.4. Prison life consists of routine, and then more routine.5. These walls are kind of funny like that. First you hate them, then you get used to them. Enough time passed, get so you depend on them. That's institutionalized.6. It takes a strong man to save himself, and a great man to save another.7. I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock hem up DOES rejoice. Still, the place youlive in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone. I guess I just miss my friend.。
