Unit 2 Life in the Arctic教学设计
（第1课时）
【教学内容】
Part 1, Part 2
【教学目标】
（一）知识与技能
1.能借助图片听懂、读懂介绍北极的短文，并复述短文中的重要句子；
2.能借助图片听懂、读懂The polar bear.
（二）过程与方法
1．以小组合作与情景教学为主，运用游戏帮助学生理解与运用所学知识；2．指导学生通过听音获取正确的信息，掌握一定的听音技巧。
（三）情感、态度与价值观
本单元介绍的是冰天雪地的北极生活，同学们将走进北极熊的故乡，在这里，住着加拿大最北端的因纽特人。
生活在这里的人们有着和我们完全不同的生活！通过本单元帮助学生了解北极的气候特点和人们的行、住以及北极的一部分很典型的动物。
【教学重点】
学习关于北极天气和动物的词汇以及句型。
【教学难点】
学生能通过听音获取正确的信息；能指认重点单词、句型以及语法；能与伙伴们学说歌谣，发现其他的不同文化。
【教学准备】
关于北极天气和动物的图片、教材相配套的录音带和课件、视频。
【教学过程】
Step 1 Warming up
播放一段关于北极的英文视频，引起学生对北极动物的兴趣。
Step 2 Revision
复习Unit 1关于接打电话的重点单词以及重点句型。
Step 3 Read and point
老师利用多媒体课件，向学生展示有关北极的视频或图片，引出单元核心词Arctic，学生学说、练习词汇。
Step 4 Learn and answer
1.老师利用地球图片介绍句型：What do you know about the Arctic? Where is the
Arctic? Look, the Arctic is here. It is at the North Pole of our Earth. 理解并学习词汇：North Pole, South Pole, Earth.
2.老师提问：What’s the Arctic like? 播放录音及图片，让学生初步感知短文。
3.学生再听一遍短文录音，老师截取文中的关键信息让学生填写，请学生将短
文补充完整，如：What do you know about the Arctic? Where is the Arctic? Look, the Arctic is here. It is at the North Pole of our Earth. It is very, very cold in the Arctic. Go to the Arctic, and you will see a white world. There is ice everywhere.
The sea is clean and blue, and the sky is also very, very blue. The Arctic is very beautiful!
Step 5 Listen and repeat
1.学生打开课本到第14页，听1a录音，跟读短文。
2.学生独立朗读短文，可分小组开展朗读比赛。
3.借助图片和老师给出的关键词提示（North Pole, Earth, cold, white, ice, clean,
blue, sky, beautiful）学生同桌之间尝试说一说有关Arctic的信息。
Step 6 Listen and match
1.学生打开课本到第14页，听录音，学生初步感知句型。
2.老师再次播放录音。
老师可将句子打乱顺序板书在黑板上，请学生将句子按
听到的顺序排列。
Step 7 Listen and say
3.老师播放第三遍录音，学生跟读句子。
然后学生独立读句子，或同桌之间互
相读，并予以评价。
4.老师可出示与句子相对应的图片，请学生尝试看图说句子。
Step 8 Summary
老师让学生看黑板上的板书,与学生一起回顾本课所学的重要单词和句型。
Step 9 Homework
背诵本课时板书单词，了解关于北极熊的生活。
