Reflection Report 1 for Lesson 6
英语反思报告的例文

英语反思报告的例文IntroductionIn this reflection report, I will discuss my experience and learning outcomes from the past semester. I will reflect on the challenges I encountered, the strategies I implemented to overcome them, and the lessons I learned throughout the journey. Challenges FacedDuring this semester, I faced several challenges in learning English. Firstly, I struggled with grammar rules and sentence structure. English grammar is quite different from my native language, and this made it difficult for me to construct sentences accurately. Additionally, I found it challenging to pronounce certain English words correctly, resulting in miscommunication at times. Another difficulty I encountered was understanding colloquial expressions and idiomatic phrases, as they are culturally specific and not directly translatable.Strategies ImplementedTo overcome these challenges, I implemented variousstrategies. Firstly, I dedicated extra time to studying grammar. I read grammar books, watched online tutorials, and practiced constructing sentences daily. I also took advantage of language exchange programs, where I could communicate with native English speakers and practice my pronunciation. Listening to English podcasts and watching movies with subtitles helped me familiarize myself with colloquial expressions.Lessons LearnedThroughout this semester, I have learned several valuable lessons. Firstly, I realized that consistent practice is key in improving language skills. By dedicating regular time to practice grammar, speaking, and listening, I observed gradual improvement in my English proficiency. Secondly, I learned that making mistakes is a fundamental part of the learning process. Instead of being discouraged by errors, I embraced them as opportunities for growth and understanding. Additionally, I discovered the importance of engaging with the English language beyond classroom settings. By immersing myself in English-speakingenvironments, such as watching English media or participating in language exchange programs, I enhanced my language skills and cultural awareness.Achievements and ProgressDespite the challenges faced, I have experienced significant achievements and progress. Firstly, I have gained confidence in expressing myself in English, both verbally and in writing. My improved grammar skills have led to greater accuracy in constructing sentences effectively. Additionally, my pronunciation has improved, allowing for clearer communication with native English speakers. Furthermore, I am now able to understand colloquial expressions and idiomatic phrases, which has enhanced my comprehension of spoken and written English.Future GoalsLooking ahead, I have set several goals for the future. Firstly, I aim to continue expanding my vocabulary to enhance my overall language proficiency. I plan to achieve this by reading English books and articles regularly. Secondly, I aspire to become morefluent in spoken English by engaging in more conversational opportunities. This includes participating in group discussions, presenting in English, and seeking opportunities for public speaking. Finally, I would like to work on my writing skills to convey my ideas effectively with clarity and coherence.ConclusionIn conclusion, this reflection report has provided an overview of my English learning journey, the challenges I faced, the strategies I implemented, and the lessons I learned. I am proud of the progress I have made and the achievements I have attained. I am excited to continue my learning journey, setting new goals, and further improving my English proficiency.。

1About Reflection Report (1)Reflection Report 1 for Lesson 1, U1, J1AStudent Teacher: Han Xiao-jing (韩晓晶)Class 05 (1) Group 2-1 March 20, 2008The main teaching problem in this practice is that sometimes Ss did not answer the questions as I had expected in the classroom. For example, when I asked one of the Ss to answer the question (“What’s your name?”), t he student answered: “Li Dong.” My feedback is: “Good, nice to meet you, Li Dong”. However, t he student didn’t say “Nice to meet you, too” as I had expected. And what’s more, it seems that my question had nothing to do with the rest of the class: w hen I asked them “Is he right?” the other Ss were all in silence. Why the student didn’t answer the question as I had expected? And why the other Ss were silent when I asked them the question? There might be 3 possibilities: (1) the Ss were not clear about my intention, they didn’t know that I wanted him/ them to answer in that way (“Nice to meet you, too”/ Yes, he is right/ No, he isn’t), in that case, it was not only a problem of my “feedback”, but also the problem of my “questions”, that means I had not indicated them clearly about the way of answer; (2) I didn’t face all Ss in the class when I gave the feedback, I just talked with the student who gave the response, it seemed like that we were having a “private conversation”; (3) while I asked questions to one student of the class, I forgot giving the instructions to draw other Ss’ attention to their peer’s response. To solve this problem, I have to do at least 3 things:(1) When I ask Ss questions, I have to indicate clearly how to answer the question,e.g., to present or to model the similar ways/ patterns of the response (Bb:Nice to meet you, too.);(2) When I gave the feedback, I have to face all Ss in the class to avoid talkingonly with the student who gives the response;(3) When I ask questions to one of the class, I should instruct the other Ss bysaying: “Listen to him (or her) carefully” and “see if he (or she) is right”.。

Reflection Report 3 for Lesson 6, U3, J2B
Student Teacher: Luo Xin(罗欣)Class 10 (6) Group 7-3 April 26, 2013
Generally speaking, I mainly have 2 problems in the practice teaching: I didn’t do the text prediction well and I didn’t use graphic means for transition of information.
For example, because I divided the reading process into two stage, fast reading and careful reading,I asked students to skam the text first, and after them finished, I asked them to go back to the title “Do you remember what you were doing?”and do a multiple choice to guess what the text is mainly about, however, I should do that before students skam the text to help students be more ready to read the material. Second, after students did the careful reading, I only used some detail questions like “ What was Robert Allen at that time?” to help students to know the text more detailly, I didn’t use graphic means or blank-filling , which will prompt students’ careful reading.
For the cause of the first question, I think it mainly due to two reasons: (1) My lack of experience. I didn’t quite familiar with the process of how to lead students to do reading tasks, like how and when to do the prediction. (2) I did n’t really understand the function of reading strategies. E.g. I just know I should guide students to do a
prediction, I didn’t really know that is to get students to be more ready to read the text. In other words, I just noticed the form and ignore the real purpose. For the second problem, I think it is because of my poor preparation before class, I didn’t have a full consideration and use more forms for checking.
To solve this problem, I have to do at least things:
(1) Next time, when I guide students to do predicting work, I should do it before actual reading.
(2) I should study and practice more and get a better understanding of teaching strategies.
(3) Before having class, I should try to search more and consider more to find better ways to have class.。
