Unit 3 Animals一、教材内容分析本单元为新起点五年级上册第三单元Animal。

第一课时有三个部分:A Listen and number; B Let’s play; C Let’s write. A部分借助Get ready图和听力内容情境化地呈现了10个目标词汇:animal, elephant, panda, horse, cow, pig, sheep, bee, farm和fast;让学生通过看、听和标号等途径来感知并学习这些词汇。

B部分通过小组活动,帮助学生操练词汇,并体会词汇在交际情境中的运用。

C部分是学生两人一组的活动,学生抽签决定去动物园还是去农场,然后分别介绍自己喜欢的动物并说明理由。

最后将自己的想去看的动物的名字写在横线上。

第二课时与第三课时是对场景对话的学习和运用,在最后复习的内容中还有短文的阅读理解,在短文的阅读中会涉及一些简单语法,句式规则,主要目的是让学生接触外文的阅读经历。

第二课时为对话学习,在对话中不仅能够培养孩子的阅读和积累主要还能渗透功能句式的运用和掌握。

第三课时,是难度最大的短文学习,短文中可以设计学过的单词和句式,同时培养孩子的阅读理解能力,学生在英文阅读方面欠缺很大,需要一定程度的培养和加强。

二、学生情况分析学生通过本册第一、二单元的学习,已经能够听懂、会说描述人物的词汇和句子。

这些词汇和句子的掌握为本节课的学习打下了良好的基础。

1. bring in pictures of a dog and a cat. First, show the picture of
a dog.
2. T: Is this a dog? Repeat. Is this a dog?
3. Next show the picture of a cat.
4. T: Is this a dog? Repeat. No, it isn’t.
Using the book
1.T: Open your books. ( Point to the dog. ) Is this a dog?
2.T: Is this a bird?
3.T: Let’s listen.
4.Play the tape, pausing after each expression to have Ss repeat.
5.Divide the class into two groups.
6.One group takes the role of Gogo and the other half Tony.
7.Have each group repeat after the T.
