Section A课前自学一．语法：1.问路英语中，问路常见的句型有：（1）Excuse me. Is there a post office near here? 打扰了，附近有邮局吗?（2）Excuse me. Can you tell me the way to the airport? 打扰了，你能告诉我去机场的路吗？（3）Excuse me. Where is the hospital? 打扰了，请问医院在哪里？（4）Excuse me. How can I get to the zoo? 打扰了，请问怎么到动物园？2.指路指路时，通常会告知对方所询问地点的方向，有时还必须指明到达路径。
(1) 回答Is there ...? 和Where’s the ...? 可用下列句子指示方位。
It’s next to ... 它挨着......It’s between ... and ... 它在......和......之间。
It’s over there. 在那边。
It’s behind the ... 它在......的后面。
It’s across from... 它在......的对面。
回答Which is the way to ...? 和How can I get to ...?等句型可用下列句型指明路径：Walk / Go along this street and turn left. 沿着这条街走然后向左拐。
It’s about ... meters from here. 距离这儿大约有......米。
Take the first crossing on the left. = Turn left at the first crossing. 第一个十字路口向左拐。
Walk on and turn left. 继续走然后向左拐。
例：-----打扰一下，公用电话在哪里？Excuse me , ________ ________ _________ _________ __________?------它在警察局的对面。

表示在街上，英国人用in, 美国人用on,如果后面接门牌号，则用介词at, 例如:The Smiths live on Zhongshan road. 史密斯一家住在中山路上。
I live at 28 Zhongshan Road.例：1. Which floor (楼层）do you live _________ ?2. I have a big house to stay _________?3. She lives __________ 128 Green Street.2.police station 警察局police 名词，“警察”，属集体名词，复数含义，作主语时为复数，不能与a 连用。
复合名词policeman/policewoman 有单复数之分，对应的复数词分别为policemen/policewomen。
例如：The police try to save the old man. 警察们设法拯救这位老人。
Policemen and policewomen work in a police station. 警察在警局里工作。
例：1. Look! What __________( be ) a policeman doing over there?2. The police __________ ( be ) running after a thief.3.across from 表示在...... 对面，相当于in the other side of 或opposite , 后接表示地点的名词或代词。
例如：The bank is across from our school. 银行在我们学校对面。
例:——Excuse me, where is the museum? Is it ________ the library?——Yes, they are opposite to each other.A. next toB. across fromC. in front ofD. in the front of辨析：across , through 和over三个词都有穿过（越）之意，其区别如下：across 表示穿过，与on 有关，指从表面横过，即从某个平面的一边到另一边，常与road, street, bridge, river等词连用。
through 表示穿过，与in 有关，指从立体空间穿过，也可表示穿过障碍物，常与forest, city, village 等连用。
后面还可跟一些抽象名词。
over 多指在某物上方通过，越过，与表面不接触等，常见的有越过（篱笆，墙）等。
例如：He walks across the bridge carefully. 他小心地走过桥。
The sun shines through the window. 阳光透过窗户照进来。
He became richer and richer through hard work. 他通过努力工作变得越来越有钱。
The birds fly over the city. 鸟儿飞过城市。
例：用适当介词填空。

He lives in the house next to our school. 他住在我们学校隔壁的房子里。
例：Can you see the hotel? It’s ________ the library.A. acrossB. next toC. farD. In5. in front of 介词短语，在......的前面，与behind 相对，of 后接表示地点的名词或代词。
例如：There is a river in front of the school. 学校前面有条河。
辨析：in front of , in the front of, 与before三个词都有在......之前之意，其区别如下：in front of 表示在某事物外部的前面，与behind 相对。
in the front of 表示在某事物内部的前面，与at the back of 相对。
before 既可做介词，还可作连词，即可表示在某时间或位置之前，还可表示在顺序或次序前面。
例如：Please come before 1:00. 请1点前来。
He puts his work before everything. 他一切以工作为重。
I stand in the front of the classroom. 我站在教室前面。
（里面）The tree is in front of the classroom. 这棵树在教室前面。
