明代中后期福建受倭寇侵犯，时值大年三十，村民有些逃到山上 避难,躲过一劫。等风平浪静之时，已是大年初二.当地老百姓各 回家中，家里惨不忍睹。人们决定再过一次年，各镇各村不一。 有些是大年初四，有些是大年初五。在中国是很难找到一年过两 次年的习俗。

兴化米粉，莆田米粉，白如 雪，细如丝，略有米香味， 干脆可贮藏。它是莆田（古 代称兴化军、兴化府）的著 名土特产，又是我国最早的 快餐之一，价廉物美，名扬 海内外，尤为海外侨胞所喜 爱。人们美其名为“兴化米 粉”。

• 2.白头春联 白头春联
清军侵入福建时，莆田人和清兵进行不屈不挠的斗争。１６４８ 年，朱继祚克复了兴化府城，但同年七月在清兵大举反攻下失败 。清兵第二次夺下的地方例要屠城示威。“封刀”之后，幸存的 人又受到剃发令的威胁。结果是每家每户都有人被杀，家家都办 丧事贴绿联。到了新年，清军强迫贴红联给＂新朝贺岁＂，否则 死罪。按中国老习惯，丧家未到除服是不能贴红联的。因此人们 不得已贴上红联，但巧妙地留出一段绿联以示抗议。第二年为了 纪念这一惨痛时刻就于大红纸上边特制一段绿头，渐成习俗。文 革期间“节约闹革命”，把绿颜料节约了变成白的，至今莆田人 口头语“糊绿联”还很流行。
