I am a big fun of travelling to other countries and I love to make friends with the local people. Last year, I went to the United States and met lots of new friends who are native speakers of English. After I became friends with those native English speakers, we usually chat with each other through social media. Gradually, my spoken English is improved to a large extent, and I felt very happy about the progress I made. However, scientific research usually takes years or even decades. It will be too late to make use of those scientific achievements if the problem of pollution continues to become too severe to solve. Similarly, protecting forests and natural wildlife species cannot solve the most urgent problem of pollution either. Though the government should spend money and effort on forests and wildlife preserves as a long-term practice to protect the earth, this action cannot handle the most serious pollution problem immediately.
