Assignment 3A蝴蝶泉在苍山脚下、洱海之滨，还有一处闻名遐迩的游览胜地----蝴蝶泉。

蝴蝶泉的出名与徐霞客在他的游记中的描述有关。

他写道：“泉上大树，当4月初即发花如蛱蝶，须翅栩然，与生蝶无异。

还有真蝶千万，连须钩足，自树颠倒悬而下及于泉面，缤纷络绎，五色焕然。

”Lying under the CangShan mountains and beside the ErHai lake, Butterfly Spring enjoys a wide-spread fame in China. Its fame is promoted by Xu XiaKe’s description in his travel notes. He wrote, “ Every early April the big tree over the pool blooms and its flowers look like the living brush-footed butterflies. Petals are like the butterflies’wings and stamens are like antennas. In addition, millions of real butterflies hang on the tree and down to the water with their legs hooked together. It seems that Butterfly Spring is surrounded by the sea of colors and is luminous with vitality.”蝴蝶泉位于苍山云弄峰下的绿树丛中，距大理古城24公里。

蝴蝶泉是一个方形泉潭，潭中泉水清澈如镜，四周砌有大理石栏杆，"蝴蝶泉"三字为中国当代文化名人郭沫若所题。

泉潭之上，两棵粗壮弯曲的百年合欢树浓荫覆盖。

Butterfly Spring lies in the green woods under the Y unNong peak (one of the peaks in CangShan mountains) and it’s 24 kilometers far from the DaLi Ancient City. It is a square pool with crystal-clean water in it and surrounded by marble handrails. The three Chinese characters “HuDieQuan”carved on the marble is written by China’s famous contemporary intellectual GuoMoRuo. The dense shade of two crooked but strong hundred-year-old acacia trees always scatters on the water.每年农历三、四月，云弄峰上的各种鲜花开放，泉边的大合欢树散发出一种淡雅的清香，对蝴蝶具有独特的吸引力，成千上万只蝴蝶从四面八方飞来，在蝴蝶泉四周漫天飞舞。

蝶大如巴掌，小如铜钱，呈黄、红、白等七彩，品种多达上百种。

无数蝴蝶还勾足连须，首尾相衔，一串一串的从大合欢树上垂挂至水面，五彩斑谰，蔚为奇观。

Every year in March and April(lunar calendar), various flowers on the Y unNong peak bloom and the big acacia trees beside the spring give off slight but pleasing fragrance, which especially attracts millions of butterflies dancing up and down all around the spring. Some butterflies are as big as palm, others are as small as coins. Their colors range from yellow, red and white to others. There are more than one hundred kinds of them. Innumerous butterflies hook their legs and hang on the acacia trees like colorful strings down to the surface of the spring, which is certainly a splendid and spectacular sight.前些年，蝴蝶数目减少，据有关方面考察，主要原因一是当地气候转向干燥，导致蝴蝶迁徙，二是农村大量使用杀虫药物，误伤不少蝴蝶幼虫。

不过，最近两三年来，随着生态平衡的逐渐恢复，加之人们有意识地对蝴蝶采取保护措施，每年聚会的蝴蝶已与日俱增。

In the past few years, the number of butterflies has declined. According to the research of specialists, the main reason is that local climate became so dry that butterflies had to migrate. Secondly, the massive use of insecticides in rural areas killed tons of larvae. However, in the past three or two years, the ecological balance has been gradually recovering and in addition, peoplerealized the importance to protect the butterflies and started to act, so the number of butterflies gather here every year is increasing notably.蝴蝶泉公园还有蝴蝶馆，馆内珍藏着许多蝴蝶标本。

另外还有蝴蝶楼、蝴蝶碑，登上半山腰，还可在望海楼上观赏洱海，景致极佳。

If you climb on the halfway of YunNong Peak, you can enjoy the marvelous scenery of ErHai lake on the WangHaiLou building.B“好个腾越州，十山九无头”，在腾冲境内五千多平方公里的大地上，耸立着97座新生代火山。

腾冲火山按其外部形态可分为截顶圆锥形火山、金字塔火山、盾状火山、马耳式火山和穹状火山。

其中喷火口保存完整的有22座，火山口残破的有23座，无火山机体而有火山口的有10余座，其余为无火山口的火山机体。

当你一脚踏进腾冲这片古老而神奇的土地，一座座火山就会奔来眼底，令你为之动容，为之惊叹，你会发现火山就在你的身边，你就在火山的怀抱之中，这就是腾冲神秘火山之旅最奇妙的起点。

“What a county of TengYue(TengChong), nine out of ten mountains are flat-headed.”Ninety-seven Cenozic volcanoes scatter on more than five thousand squares meters land of TengChong. According to their shapes, they are named truncated cone volcano, pyramid volcano, shield volcano, horse ear volcano and domed-shaped volcano. Among them, volcanoes with perfect craters are 22, volcanoes with defective craters are 23, volcanoes with craters but without edifices are 10 and the rest are bare edifices without craters. As soon as you set foot on this ancient and magical land, the chain of volcanoes will come into your sight immediately. You will soon become deeply moved and impressed, finding they are so close and you are surrounded by them. Then you will start your fantastic exploration to TengChong mysterious volcanoes here.打鹰山，是腾冲火山中最年轻、最高大的火山之一，海拔2600多米。

打鹰山山体高大峻美，形态酷似日本富士山。

在这座巍峨奇丽的火山上，就曾经留下了大旅行家徐霞客的足迹。

当年他探访这座火山之后就在《徐霞客游记》中写道：“其上皆大木巨竹，蒙蔽无隙，中有龙潭四，深莫能测，足声至则涌波而起，人莫敢近，后有牧羊者，一雷震毙羊五六百及牧羊者数人，连日起火。

大树深篁，燎无孑遗，而潭亦成陆，今山下有出水之穴……”根据他的记录，有人推测，徐霞客的这段描述，很可能是一次局部的火山活动。

DaYing mountain, one of the youngest and highest volcanoes in TengChong, has an altitude of 2600 meters. DaYing mountain is both fair and temperate, looking extremely like Fuji mountain. Xu Xiake, the great traveler in ancient China, once set his foot on this grand and marvelous volcano. After he explored this mountain, he wrote in his book Travels of Xu Xiake, “ There were huge trees and bamboos on the mountain, which dense shade is covering the sky. There were also four extremely deep pool which would spring when people step towards them so people didn’t dare to approach. Later thunders rumbled down from the sky and five to six hundred sheep and several shepherds were killed. The mountain was burning for days. All the giant trees and bamboos were ruined. The pools became flat land. And a cave with spring water came into being……”According to his description, someone assumes he probably recorded a regional volcanic activity.“山顶之石，色赭而质轻浮，状如峰房，为浮沫结成者，虽大如合抱，而两指可携……”这是徐霞客对火山浮石的逼真描述。
