预备篇是为了使没有英语学习基础的学生更好地使用本套教材而编写的。
它的主要内容为26个英文字母和最基本的英语日常用语。
Starte r U nit 2第一课时的主要内容是谈论话题：“What’s this in English?”即确认物体的问答对话，通过这个话题的学习，让学生能够在日常生活中进行简单的问答交流，以此培养学生在日常生活中使用英语交流的兴趣，同时锻炼学生的英语口语能力。
2.教学目标学生在小学时英语学习不规范，英语基础基本为零，鉴于此情况，在学习预备单元之前，我已将26个字母进行单独教学，在认真分析教材内容并借鉴相关参考书的基础上，将本课的教学目标及重点、难点确定如下：A、语言知识目标1.词汇：复习Letters Ii——Rr学习map，ruler，pen，orange，key，jacket，quilt等七个关于物体新单词2.句型：What is this in English?It is a map/an orange…B、语言技能目标通过师生、生生情景对话展示、小组单词PK、小组对话PK等活动，培养学生灵活运用语言知识和勇于创新的能力。
情感目标：1.激发学生学习英语的兴趣，发挥学生学习英语的主动性；2.通过小组活动、组间竞赛，培养学生的合作意识和团队精神；3.教学重点、难点教学重点：1.关于物品的七个新单词map，ruler，pen，orange，key，jacket，quilt；2.What’s this in English? It’s a/an…句型.教学难点：不定冠词a/an 的初步感知与正确使用二、说学情本课的教学对象是刚从小学六年级升入初中的学生，在小学由于英语课程开设不规范、师生重视不够导致学习基础薄弱，又由于成长于中国这样的特殊环境，学生在日常生活中接触应用英语的机会少之又少，所以学生学习英语还是较为被动。

1.词汇量有限，对新词汇的接受程度不同，部分学生可能在记忆和运用新词汇时遇到困难。
2.口语表达能力较弱，尤其是在实际对话中，可能难以迅速运用所学句型进行交流。
3.对英语语法的理解尚浅，对冠词a/an的用法以及名词单复数形式容易混淆。
（三）学习动机
为了激发学生的学习兴趣和动机，我将采取以下策略或活动：

四、教学过程设计
（一）导入新课
为了快速吸引学生的注意力和兴趣，我将采用以下方式导入新课：
