He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after thetheft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty. How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness. I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. Although I don’t think goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.For me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. Goodness is to humans what water is to fish. He who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to boththe people he has helped and himself. To my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity. They look down on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. As a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. On the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. In their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. If they cannot get profit from showing their ‘kindness’, they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down. They are one of the sorts that I really detest.Francis Bacon said in his essay, ‘Goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.’That is to say a person without goodness is destined to lose everything. Therefore, I, a kind person, want to tell those ‘vermin-to-be’ to learn from the kind Oliver and regain thenature of goodness.。

When the gang tried to bully Oliver, she always stepped forward and stopped them. When the gang tried to frame Oliver and let him lose his fathers great fortune, Nancy revealed the news to Olivers aunt, and the plot of the banditgang was not successful. He was born in a poor family, but later he became famous and rich. The famous novel --A Tale of Two Cities is written by him, too. This novel shows us the cruelty and crime of London. Oliver Twist, the hero, is a poor orphan. He lived in a life filled with taunts. Nobody loved him. With visions of his future, he decided to go to London. He thought a new life was coming, but he was wrong, a group of thieves were waiting for him.The author created a group of bad men.Fagin, an old man, with a horribly ugly face and red hair, was the head of those thieves. He tried to make Oliver be a criminal. Bill Sikes was a cruel and evil man in the group. He had a bad temper.Monks, Oliver’s brother, did bad things to hurt Oliver. He wanted to get the legacies left by his father alone. He paid Fagin to trap Oliver into a life of crime. In fact, they were all afraid of being put into prison and being hanged. They can’t live happily. Nancy, a poor girl, loved a bad man. She had to help Bill Sikes perpetrate, because she loved him. She had to be loyal to the criminal group, because she loved him. Actually, she was kind. She helped Oliver at the risk of her life. If she hadn’t fell in love with Sikes, she would have a happy ending. The author showed these ugly things to us, he described an ugly world. But there are more kind people in the novel.Mr. Brownlow, an old friend of Oliver’s father, took good care of Oliver.Mrs. Maylie, Harry Maylie’s mother, saved Oliver of his life. Miss Rose is the aunt of Oliver, in fact. They all protect Oliver from hurt.Oliver was unlucky to meet so many evil people, but he was luckier to get help from so many kind people. In the end of the novel, all the evil people were punished. Oliver got what he should get. Rose married Harry Maylie and theylived happily. All the kind people have a happy ending.Righteousness can always beat evil. I think this is what the author wants to tell. Although there are many ugly things in the world, we must believe that righteousness can always beat evil. We must store kindness even though we are in ugly situation. One is poor if he doesn’t have kindness. One is rich if he has kindness. So please store your kindness in your mind. What’s more, the novel also tells us to be brave. Oliver was brave enough to overcome all the problems he had met. No matter how difficult the problem is, we can’t give up, we must try our best to solve it.From Oliver Twist , I have learnt a lot 。

These supreme resources I’m talking about right now are somewhat different from minerals, oil that we usually mention. They’re abstract like feelings, and some kinds of spiritual stimulation that all of us desire anxiously from one another ——love and care. Those charitable figures whom Dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life. They showed love and care to others, just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth, which was carved into my heart deeply.Mr. Brownlow is one such person.雾都孤儿英文读后感2Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of CharlesDickens', is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century. The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London. The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. Ive read a tale of two cities. Its also a compressed version. I dont remember it. It is found that the biggest failure of middle school education is to pour the titles of these masterpieces to the students, but not to give them the possibility of reading. Over time, a lot of names and authors have been recorded, but none of the books have been read, and the interest of reading has been reduced. Of course, it has something to do with the students laziness. I am a very lazy person, and I dont like reading foreign novels very much. I always feel that the translated things are wrong again, distortion is the second, and mixed with the translators personal thoughts. This movie reminds me of a long time ago, probably in high school, watching "les miserables", are very realistic works. The tone of the movie is gray, the most common color, but it will never make people feel tired. Just like the most simple green brick and grey wall in ancient gardens, it cant compare with the red paint gate, but now we can see only the green brick and grey wall, and the red paint gate cant stand the time. One of the important reasons why I dont like reading foreign novels is that I cant remember the names of the characters, such as tonights Oliver Twist. Read "Oliver Twist", let me be the hero of this book - Oliver. At the same time, he felt disgust and regretfor the street criminals in London in the 1830s. Oliver. Tweester was born in a workhouse. Poor boy was orphaned at birth. He was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime, starved, beaten and scolded, and no one ever loved him.雾都孤儿英文读后感6Growing up in solitude and struggling in pain, this is Oliver Twist, an orphan in foggy city written by Charles Dickens.Oliver grew up in a workhouse. He never felt the warmth of his mothers love and family. He always lived in hell. At the age of nine, Mr. bumble sent him to the home of a mortician named sulbury as an assistant, but it was no better or worse than the workhouse, so Oliver could not bear the inhumane life and fled here, ready to go to the "fog city" - London. When he arrived in London, he met two evil doers, one was the robber Sikes, the other was the thief Fagin. Later Fagin wanted to train him to be a thief, because he became a thief, and the mystery of his life was also revealed.Olivers coming to London is not necessarily a good thing, but it must not be a bad thing. Because although he met Fagin, he also met many good people: Nancy, who is also good and evil, Mr. Brownlow, who is kind-heartedThis book describes an optimistic Oliver, no matter the orphans life or his lonely and painful childhood, he doesnt complain. And we have a warm family from birth to now, but every day is full of all kinds of complaints, we should be like him, "no complaints, no complaints".雾都孤儿英文读后感7To Regain the Nature of Goodness -- Review of ‘Oliver Twist’ Oliver Twist one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens’ is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18thcentury.The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London. He escaped to London because he could not bear to be abused. He went into a den of thieves by mistake and was scolded and beaten. I dont know how much he suffered in the process of growing up. Although growing up in such an environment, he has a kind heart. No matter how much he suffers, his determination to do bad things is the biggest. He is blessed and will never forget to thank his benefactor. But the people in the bandit group still did not let him go, and his half brother also wanted to kill him. Olivers fate is tragic, but he was helped by good people to find out his life experience and obtain the heritage. Finally, his fate has been changed and he is expected to become a useful person to the society. We should also learn from the kind-hearted Brownlow, who helped Oliver with his helping hand. Because of his kindness, Oliver Twist was saved. He made the world lose a bad man and a good man, and kept Oliver away from the dirty world. In a word, the whole novel is full of twists and turns, which makes people sigh for Oliver Twists life experience, angry for the mean man, moved by the kind Brownlow, and happy for Olivers rebirth. Since its publication more than 100 years ago, Oliver Twist has become a classic work loved by readers all over the world, and I am no exception. Because of this novel, I also beganto know Dickens. His novel mainly reflects the bottom life of the British society, which has just passed the poverty relief law.雾都孤儿英文读后感9Orphans are children who have no parents, so they live in orphanages. Today, lets take a look at a book about orphans - Oliver Twist. The protagonist of this book is a poor orphan. His name is Oliver. His mother died as soon as he was born, so he was taken to the orphanage. But that orphanage is not a good place, because the director there is very bad to the orphans, the orphans hate him. The supervisor also apprenticed Olivier to the coffin shop. In the coffin shop, olifi was abused, so he fled to London. As a result, he was brought into the den by the thief "smart ghost" and was forced to embark on the ship. Fortunately, with the help of Mr. Brownlow and miss Ruth, olife successfully escaped from Fagin and others, and let the police turn over the den. Menx also tells about the life experience of olifi: menx and olifi are actually half brothers. However, olifis father had passed away, and his property was divided between his two sons. Since then, Olivier has lived wit h Mr. Brownlow······The author Dickens wrote "Oliver Twist" wonderfully, and the plot is also very dangerous, so it attracts the readers at once, and makes the readers mood change with the plot of the story. There is always a dark side to life. However, the light will always prevail over the dark, there will be countless "Mr. Brownlow" and "Miss Ruth" to help those in trouble. I also want to learn from them: try my best to help others, and always have a good heart.雾都孤儿英文读后感10Oliver Twist is a realistic novel written by Charles Dickens. Thenovel is set in foggy London in the 19th century and tells the story of Olivers life experience and growth. At the same time, as an example of social novels, it reveals other real social problems in the 19th century, such as child labor, juvenile delinquency and so on.There is a plot in the article that makes people feel deeply. Oliver is taken to the gathering place of thieves. The men who dominate the group praise the death penalty in front of expensive watches and jewelry. It seems hard to understand why the lawbreakers are not afraid of death penalty. This is related to the defects of the law at that time. Confession can not change the fate of being hanged, so the criminals who go to the execution ground will not choose to let the truth As a result, these young people are free from slavery.Oliver, the protagonist in the novel, was originally a simple teenager, because he had to mix with a group of juvenile delinquents for survival. Regardless of the later turning point of the novel, if Oliver had been living with this group of people and learning their "technology", his life would surely go dark. Although these are related to the complex background of London in the 19th century, we should still be vigilant that similar phenomena still exist in our society.Caring for the physical and mental health of teenagers requires the joint efforts of all our citizens. Like the old gentleman in the novel, a little help and a simple helping hand may change a persons future.雾都孤儿英文读后感11I read a book foreign classics, "oliver twist". They’re abstract like feelings and some kinds of spiritual stimulation that all of us desire anxiously from one another ——love and care. Those charitable figures whom Dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life. They showed love and care to others just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth which was carved into my heart deeply. Mr. Brownlow is one such person. the other day he had one of his elaborate watches stolen by two skilled teenage thieves Artful Dodger and Charley Bates and thought naturally it was Oliver who was an orphan and forced to live with a gang of thieves that had done it because he was the only one near by after the theft had taken place. Being wrathful he caught Oliver and sent him to the police station where the ill-tempered unfair magistrates worked. Fortunately for him Oliver was proved innocent by one onlooker afterwards. With sympathy Mr. Brownlow took the injured poor Oliver to his own home. There Oliver lived freely and gleefully for some months as if he were Mr. Brownlow’s own son. One day however Mr. Brownlow asked Oliver to return some books to the bookseller and to send some money for the new books that he had already collected. The thief Oliver once stayed with kidnapped him. After that he disappeared in Mr. Brownlow’s life. Searching for a while Mr. Brownlow had to believe the fact that he had run away with his money. But dramatically they came across each other again a few years later. Without hesitation Mr. Brownlow took Oliver home for the second time not caring if he had done something evil. Perhaps most of us would feel confused about Mr. Brownlow’s reaction. But as a matter of fact this is just the lesson we shouldlearn from him. Jesus said in the Bible. “Forgive not seven times but seventy-times seven.” Why is that? Because forgiveness is our ability to remove negative thoughts and neutralize them so our energy may be spent on doing what we came here for. We cannot move forward in our future if past issues cloud our thinking. Stop put Mr. Brownlow into the list of your models. Always give people a second chance no matter what they might have done. That’s also a substantial part of loving and caring others.雾都孤儿英文读后感15Oliver Twist is a novel written by Chales Dikens .It mainly describes a little boy's tough experiences .This novel reveals the author's attitude towards life in some point.Oliver Twist was an orphan who was brought up by Shelia who lived in hospice. Oliver was regarded as a bastard, which resulted lots of discrimination. In the foster home , he was on behalf of children to ask for more porridge ,which considered as a kind rude and unpolite behavior .He was confined for several days and came across another suffering.Mr Bumble sent him to a coffin maker. In this plot ,I was attracted by the man Mr Noah who was also a servant .He played tricks on Oliver to grab some external fun .He deliberately said Oliver's mother was a bitch who had a child without marriage. This kind of writing is advanced .It satirized the dark society .people's ignorance trapped kind people all the time .In contrast,Oliver , a naive boy who existed in a horrible environment ,always kept good honest.Although he knew nothing about his mother ,he persisted in beliving his mother's kindness.A little boy owned those good quality in dark society isdoubted. But it reflects the author's opinion .Love makes the world go around. This topic was proved though the novel. In an anthor plot ,Oliver entered a haunt of thieves by accident.A girl names Nacy rejected Mr Brownlow's help .She had no courage to leave the haunt where people had the same fate ,especially his beloved boy Sikes. In the end ,she was beaten to death .And this plot is the trasition .It hinted that bad people are destined to compensate. For Oliver's kindness ,he finally led a happy life with many kindhearted people's help. This consequence accords with people's common criterion.Temporarily difficulities is not terrible as long as you reasonably deal with it.And success is on the way. What's more,we should always put love in the bottom of hearts.雾都孤儿英文读后感16Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain,. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. The goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life.the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. Goodness is to humans what water is to fish. He who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratifiedfrom what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself.。

《雾都孤儿英文读后感》雾都孤儿英文读后感(一):Learn to love and careHere I am sitting on a couch alone, thinking about what I have just finished reading with tears of sadness filling my eyes and fire of indignation filling my heart, which revived my exhausted soul that has already been covered by the cruelty and the selfishness of the secular world for a long time。

It is truly what I felt after reading Oliver Twist, written by the prominent British author Charles Dickens。

The resonance between me and the book makes me feel not only the kindness and the wickedness of all the characters in the novel, but what this aloof society lacks, and what I lack deep inside。

These supreme resources Im talking about right now are somewhat different from minerals, oil that we usually mention。

Theyre abstract like feelings, and some kinds of spiritual stimulation that all of us desire anxiously from one another love and care。

Those charitable figures whom Dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life。

They showed love and care to others, just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth, which was carved into my heart deeply。

Mr。

Brownlow is one such person。

The other day he had one of his elaborate watches stolen by two skilled teenage thieves, Artful Dodger and Charley Bates, and thought naturally it was Oliver, who was an orphan and forced to live with a gang of thieves, that had done it because he was the only one near by after the theft had taken place。

Being wrathful, he caught Oliver, and sent him to the police station where the ill-tempered, unfair magistrates worked。

Fortunately for him, Oliver was proved innocent by one onlooker afterwards。

With sympathy, Mr。

Brownlow took the injured, poor Oliver to his own home。

There Oliver lived freely and gleefully for some months as if he were Mr。

Brownlows own son。

One day, however, Mr。

Brownlow asked Oliver to return some books to the bookseller and to send some money for the new books that he had already collected。

The thief Oliver once stayed with kidnapped him。

After that he disappeared in Mr。

Brownlows life。

Searching for a while,Mr。

Brownlow had to believe the fact that he hadrun away with his money。

But dramatically, they came across each other again a few years later。

Without hesitation, Mr。

Brownlow took Oliver home for the second time not caring if he had done something evil。

Perhaps most of us would feel confused about Mr。

Brownlows reaction。

But as a matter of fact, this is just the lesson we should learn from him。

Jesus said in the Bible。

Forgive not seven times,but seventy-times seven。

Why is that? Because forgiveness is ourability to remove negative thoughts and neutralize them so our energy may be spent on doing what we came here for。

We cannot move forward in our future if past issues cloud our thinking。

Stop put Mr。

Brownlow into the list of your models。

Always give people a second chance no matter what they might have done。

Thats also a substantial part of loving and caring others。

Then there are Mrs。

Maylie and Rose, Olivers other benefactors。

Maybe the reason they loved and cared Oliver was not because of forgiveness。

In my point of view, it was trust。

They had faith in Oliver when he was considered to be a filthy burglar who tried to break the front door of Maylies at midnight。

But this wasnt how these two ladies saw the whole thing。

They denied Olivers crime immediately and listened attentively to Olivers own description of his miserable life。

They were deeply touched by Olivers strong perseverance and astonishing vitality。

Accordingly, they remedied Olivers body and heart and turned him into a different boy。

He began to wear appropriate and clean suits which were tailor-made for him and receive education。

As far as we can see, it is trust that helps us all live together without precaution。

Sometimes trust can even lead us to miracles, which we often expect to e about, so why not trust? Trust yourself, trust others, and youll salute miracles every single day。

In the novel, though the young Oliver again and again fell for conspiracies of those hideous thieves, who tried to torture Olivers body and poisoned Olivers heart intensely, he always lived on and tried hard to seek for his own life。

Then I realized what supported him all through were actually beliefs。

In most cases, what you believe is what youll bee。

Believe that you are unlimited, that you can do anything you mit to doing, and when you do, your acplishments will know no bounds。
