本模块以Christmas这个西方国家重要节日为话题，Unit1呈现了大明向Sam和Amy介绍中国如何过春节的情景，Unit2呈现了Sam向大明介绍西方人如何过圣诞节的情景及一首歌曲。
本模块预计两个课时完成，本课是第二课时，要求学生掌握Christmas、sing、we、songs、merry等词，并能运用4个句型进行介绍圣诞节主要活动等。
本单元是前一单元学习中国新年（春节）的基础上进行的，peanuts、sweets在前一单元学过，本单元的学习只是将这两个单词迁移一下，放在另一个句型中进行巩固练习。
本单元旨在巩固新年活动、问候的同时，介绍西方的圣诞节，进行中西文化的对比。
当然，现在很多时候，很多学生能从不同的地方了解到圣诞节的有关知识。
所以，学习这一单元的知识，学生不仅很感兴趣，而且有些了解，难度不大。
（二）教学目标分析（1）能力目标：能够介绍圣诞节，知道圣诞节的主要活动。
（2）知识目标：①能够听、说、认、读本课的重点单词：Christmas、merry、sing、give present.②掌握句型：We+ 动词+ 名词。
Eg: We sing songs. Merry Christmas!（3）情感、策略、文化等有关目标：通过本课学习，使学习有兴趣听、说英语、背歌谣，主动与他人交流。
能够互相致以节日的问候，了解西方圣诞节。
（三）教学重点难点分析教学重点：1.掌握单词:Christmas、merry、sing、give ﹑present﹑we.2.掌握句型：Merry Christmas！We sing song. We have a Christmas tree. We give presents. We eat lots of food.这类语句介绍节日的活动。
二、学生分析本课针对的是小学四年级的学生，对于刚接触英语不到两年时间的学生来说，他们活泼好动，乐于表现，希望获得新知，对学习英语有着较强的兴趣。
三、教具：单词卡片、图片、教师点读笔，多媒体课件、礼物、圣诞帽、PPT 翻页笔、海报四、教法：整堂课围绕“学生为主体，教师为主导”的教学理念，由chant开始，创设语言氛围，激发学生的学习兴趣，使学生在参与圣诞节活动中，掌握知识，发展能力。

）师生一齐对得到礼物的同学说：Merry Christmas!（设计意图：教师紧接着带上圣诞老人的帽子，教师分发礼物，最后并祝学生圣诞节快乐！通过情境，让学生在接受礼物的氛围中体验西方文化，引起学生生活经历的再现，将我们的文化与英语教学很好的结合。
教师摘下圣诞帽，戴在学生头上，让学生学会合作，为学生创造一个展示自我的舞台，并将知识进行拓展和延伸。
因为学生有丰富的生活经验，过年问好，赠糖果等都很熟悉，所以学生表演起来难度不大，但对英语口语的应用有一定的难度，教师应给予适当的指导。
