罗斯福竞选英文演讲稿

It is with a profound sense of honor and a heart full of determination that I stand before you today to seek your trust and support in the upcoming election. I am Franklin D. Roosevelt, and I am asking you tojoin me on a journey to restore the American Dream and rebuild the foundation upon which our great nation stands. My fellow citizens, we find ourselves at a crossroads. The road ahead is fraught with challenges, but it is also lined with opportunities. The Great Depression has tested our resilience, our unity, and our faith in the American system. It has taught us that when times are tough, we must come together, support one another, and fight for a better future.Let me take you back to a time not so long ago when the shadow of economic despair loomed large over our nation. The factories were silent, the banks were closed, and millions of Americans were out of work. It was a time of uncertainty and fear, a time when the American Dream seemed to be slipping away. But amidst the darkness, a light began to shine. It was a light of hope, a light of progress, and a light of leadership. That light was President Herbert Hoover. He tried his best to guide our nation through these tumultuous times, but unfortunately, his efforts were not enough. It was time for a new leader, a leader who would embrace the challenges and not shy away from them. Now, I stand before you as that leader. I am not a politician by profession, but I am a man of the people, a man who has lived throughthe struggles of the common man. I have seen the pain, the suffering, and the hopelessness in the eyes of those who have lost everything. Andit is this pain that drives me to seek your vote.My fellow Americans, the time for empty promises and rhetoric is over.It is time for action, for bold and decisive leadership. I will not shy away from the tough decisions that lie ahead. I will not be swayed by special interests or political expediency. I will fight for you, for the American people, and for the future of our great nation. Here are the steps I will take to restore our economy, to bring jobs back to our communities, and to ensure that every American has a fair chance to succeed:1. Relief: We will provide immediate relief to those most in need. This means extending unemployment benefits, increasing Social Security payments, and providing financial assistance to those who have lost their homes and businesses.2. Recovery: We will implement a comprehensive plan to stimulate economic recovery. This includes investing in infrastructure projects, creating jobs, and supporting small businesses. We will also encourage industry to innovate and produce goods and services that will put Americans back to work.3. Reform: We will reform the financial system to prevent another economic collapse. This means stricter regulations on banks and Wall Street, as well as the establishment of a new agency to oversee the financial industry. We will also ensure that the interests of the American people are put before those of the wealthy few.4. Security: We will provide a safety net for all Americans. This includes expanding Social Security, establishing a national health insurance program, and ensuring that every child has access to quality education.5. Unity: We will unite our nation to overcome the challenges ahead. We will work with our allies and friends around the world to promote peace and stability. We will also foster a spirit of cooperation and respect among all Americans, regardless of their background or beliefs. My fellow citizens, the path to recovery will not be easy. It will require sacrifice, hard work, and perseverance. But I am confident that together, we can overcome any obstacle. We have seen the strength and resilience of the American people in times of trial. Now, it is time to show the world that we are more than capable of rising to the occasion.I ask you to join me in this fight. I ask you to vote for change, for a new beginning, and for a brighter future. Together, we can turn the tide of economic despair and create a new era of prosperity and progress. As I stand here today, I am reminded of the words of our nation's founders, who declared that "all men are created equal." It is time that we live up to this ideal. It is time that we ensure that every American has the opportunity to achieve their dreams, to build a better life for themselves and their families. So, let us come together, let us stand united, and let us build a future that is worthy of our children and our grandchildren. I am Franklin D. Roosevelt, and I ask you to join me on this journey to restore the American Dream.Thank you, God bless you, and God bless America.---This speech is a fictional representation of what a speech by Franklin D. Roosevelt might have included during his campaign for the presidency in 1932. The content is a blend of historical context and hypothetical promises, reflecting the themes and challenges of the time.。

Franklin Roosevelt showed an overriding self-confidence that he gave a passionate speech at the time of his swearing to tell people that the only thing we fear is fear itself. In the cold afternoon of March 4, 1933, the new president's determination and relaxed optimism, "ignited the new spirit of the nation's heart and soul." And put forward a policy objective aimed at achieving national rejuvenation and good-neighborliness and friendship. Roosevelt entered the White House, the positive implementation of relief, reform and revival as the main content of the "Roosevelt New Deal." However, at this time the United States prevailed in isolationism. In 1935, the US Congress passed a Pittman resolution aimed at keeping the United States neutral. The resolution stipulates that the war prohibits the United States from exporting weapons and equipment and credit, and the two-year "cash" clause authorizes the president to require the purchase of non-military goods in the United States to pay cash and ship with their own ships. In the face of the fascist country's aggression and expansion, isolationism and neutrality are tantamount to acquiescence and connivance of aggression and expansion. In order to guide the United States and its public to prepare for the anti-fascist war, to strengthen the US defense forces, Roosevelt and isolationism launched a resolute and artistic struggle. In October 1937, Roosevelt delivered a speech at the inauguration ceremony of the new bridge in Chicago, noting that "when a contagious disease began to spread, in order to protect the health of the residents, to prevent epidemic, social permission and common isolation of patients We are determined to be outside the war, but we can not guarantee that we are not affected by the effects of war and to avoid the crisis of warfare. "The quarantine speech," the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, "And even after Roosevelt is not without fear, said:" You want to take a head, but look back, behind a person did not, how terrible this situation! "But" isolation speech "after all to the American public Pointing out the existence of war terror. In January 1938, Roosevelt urged a 20% increase in naval construction costs in the special message. Congress in a heated debate in May through Vincent to expand the naval law, allowing the development of the Navy 1 billion US dollars. This fact shows that most Americans who have seriously considered the problem have seen the threat of war and thus agree to strengthen defense. In December 1938, at the initiative of Roosevelt, the Pan American Conference adopted the Lima Declaration, which reflected the determination of the antiques of the American countries. In March 1938, after the Germans entered Prague, the US Deputy Secretary of State, on behalf of the President, condemned Germany's "unscrupulous wrongdoing" and "hegemony."In September 1939, after the outbreak of the Deborah war, Roosevelt had to publish a formal statement of neutrality and the implementation of legislation. After a heated debate inside and outside the Congress, Congress passed the amendments to the legislature, abolished the embargo clause, the implementation of the principle of cash purchase (cash purchase, transport themselves). Roosevelt was signed immediately. In May 1940, the British and French troops defeated and defeated by the Germans. Roosevelt asked Congress to add additional defense funds to strengthen the combat readiness. During the war, the US Army Minister for Harry Woodlin (1937 to June 1940), Henry Stimson (June 1940 to September 1945). Former Navy Minister for Claude Swanson (as of 1939), Charles Edison (1940), Frank Knox (June 1944 to 1944), James Forrest (1944) Year succession). In July 1940, when Democrats held a presidential nomination meeting in Chicago, delegates were still unclear whether Roosevelt would seek a third term without a precedent from the president of Washington. In this regard, Roosevelt played a little trick. He made a statement to the nomination meeting by Senator Albert Barkley, declaring that he did not have the wishes and purpose of the next president and urged the delegates to elect whatever they were, but then through Senator Lister Hill put his name on the nomination list. However, the Republican presidential candidate Wendell Wilke was wantonly launched: "The election of Roosevelt means sending their sons, brothers and lovers into the grave." The assembly began to vote. When the list of Roosevelt as acandidate was submitted to the General Assembly, the whole meeting was a mess, and the delegates expressed strong opposition to booing and drinking. Roosevelt was forced to change his strategy to assure the voters that he was peace, even at the promise: "Your child will not be sent to any foreign war ... The purpose of our defense is defense." Mrs Roosevelt, From the New York to Chicago, made a speech outside the meeting, which soon changed the atmosphere of the venue, she said: "1940 is not the usual period, but the war is approaching the extraordinary period, in addition to what we can do for the whole national interests In addition to this problem, we should not quarrel over any other problem. The words of Mrs. Roosevelt touched the hearts of the delegates, and in the evening there was a prominent position in the speeches of Mrs. Roosevelt, and the mood of the voters turned to Roosevelt at that time, because of the frequent world war, to ensure that the US foreign policy In the same way, the Americans, especially the isolationists, did not approve of the leaders' halfway, so 55% of the voters chose Roosevelt, so Roosevelt finally broke the tradition of the "father" George Washington president, America president. In December 1940, Roosevelt, who was visiting the Caribbean region of Latin America, received an urgent letter from British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, known as the German military force, the British needed a lot of weapons, but the British finance could not pay cash for US weapons and equipment The day is coming. So, Roosevelt did not mention the proposal by the US loan to the United Kingdom or to the British military supplies, but talked about the usual analogy - "I" lined the garden water pipe to the house of fire neighbors to help the neighbors Fire, and fire after the neighbors are returned to the water pipe orcompensation for water pipes, are good to discuss; then in the fireside statement declared: "We must become a great arsenal of democratic countries," "I ask our people absolutely believe that our common cause will be Great success ". The American public is in favor of this.On January 6, 1941, Roosevelt urged Congress to "authorize and allocate sufficient money to create more arms and a variety of military supplies for the transfer of countries that are now fighting in real terms with the aggression of the country". On March 11, 1941, the bill passed by Congress (the President had the right to lease weapons and equipment to the United States security-related countries) entered into by the President. (60% to the UK, 32% for the Soviet Union). The passage of the lease bill, leaving the United States in a state of non-war, is an important milestone for the United States to actively intervene in the anti-fascist war.June 22, 1941, after the outbreak of the Soviet war, Roosevelt condemned the German aggression, announced that the United States will aid the Soviet Union. In August, Roosevelt and Churchill held talks in Newfoundland and published the Atlantic Charter. My Favorite Famous Figure: EinsteinThroughout the annals of history, numerous figures have left indelible marks on the world, shaping ourunderstanding and perception of it. Among these great minds, one name stands out, a beacon of intelligence and wisdom: Albert Einstein. His contributions to the fields of physics, philosophy, and even politics have been profound, makinghim not just a scientist but a cultural icon.Born in 1879 in Germany, Einstein's journey to fame and recognition was not a conventional one. He struggled academically in his early years, often finding himself at odds with traditional teaching methods. However, his curiosity and determination to understand the universe led him to pursue physics, a field that would eventually seehim revolutionize our understanding of it.His Theory of Relativity, published in 1905, marked a seismic shift in the scientific community. It proposed new ideas about space, time, and matter that were initially met with skepticism but later accepted as groundbreaking. This theory not only explained phenomena that had previouslybeen mysterious but also opened up new avenues forscientific exploration. But Einstein's influence extends beyond the confines of the laboratory. His quotes and sayings are often quoted by people from all walks of life, serving as inspiration and guidance. His famous equation, E=mc², has become a symbol of intellectual prowess and a rallying cry for those seeking to understand the secrets of the universe. Moreover, Einstein's commitment to peace and social justice was as remarkable as his scientific achievements. He was a staunch advocate for pacifism and international cooperation, believing that science and reason were the keys to overcoming the ills of society. His letter to President Roosevelt, urging him to develop the atomic bomb before it fell into the wrong hands, is a testament to his prescient vision and moral conscience. What makes Einstein so endearing and relevant even today is his unwavering belief in the power of the human mind. He believed that the greatest achievements of mankind were not the products of chance or fate but the result of curiosity, creativity, and perseverance. This belief is asimportant today as it was a century ago, serving as a reminder that we all have the potential to make a difference, to shape the world in our own image. In conclusion, Einstein's legacy is not just in the equations he wrote or the theories he proposed but in the spirit he embodied: a spirit of curiosity, exploration, and compassion. He taught us that knowledge is not just about understanding the universe but also about understanding ourselves and our role in it. As we look towards the future, let us remember the lessons of Einstein and strive to make the world a better place, one where reason and compassionco-exist and humanity thrives.**我喜欢的著名人物:爱因斯坦**在历史的长河中,无数人物在世界上留下了不可磨灭的印记,塑造了我们对其的理解与认知。

我崇拜的人-罗斯福(A Person I Admire-Franklin Roosevelt)
Times need heroes, and heroes stand out. Franklin Roosevelt is just a hero of the times. Well known for his unprecedented(无前例的) 13 years as the President of U. S. , he is regarded as a savior of America. However, it is not his brilliant achievements that attract me. What I really admire are some qualities shining in his whole life such as fortitude, courage and also his amiability.
His early time, I mean before his forties, was smooth. He was born rich and had a happy marriage. After graduating from Harvard, he served in the Navy. At that time, he had already shown his remarkable leadership and since his uncle was a President, he would surely enter the political arena. But everything changed when he was 39. Healthy and strong as he was, he was attacked by polio after swimming, which caused the life long deformity (畸形的) in his legs. It was extremely hard for this ambitious man to face the misfortune. He was, of course, in a bad mood and wanted to give up all his dreams at first. Then, after careful thinking, he finally decided to bestir(激励) himself. He was not a man
easy to surrender. Again he took part in political activities and,at the same time, practiced standing up and then walking with a stick. Eventually this brave man won the battle against fate. He became the only disabled President in American history and unprecedentedly served four terms. All should be attributed(归于) to his fortitude.(刚毅)strengthen
"The only thing we fear is fear itself." This famous saying now has spread all over the world and encouraged lots of people.Roosevelt first said it, and as a great leader, he made all his people believe it. He practiced what he preached for he was surely a courageous person challenging the tradition. He formulated(规划) new policies to help his nation out of the Depression. He declared war against Fascists though most of the Congressmen opposed him at that time. All proved that he was right for his courage was not rash but based on careful thinking. "A leader is one who dares to dream, and then, dares to achieve."
He was great, but not great in appearance. He looked like a kind grandpa at the first sight. He initiated the fireside chat to express his ideas and explain his policies in a relaxed atmosphere on radio. He always smiled sincerely when speaking and listening. These didn't lower his prestige but made him amiable and welcome.
He is surely not a perfect man no one can be perfect.Every age has its hero in the forefront, just like Franklin Roosevelt a man I admire.。
