巧解牛津高中英语教材语汇教学为避免新教材下学生词汇学习效率低的现象,使学生由死记硬背的传统学习方法向掌握规律,自主学习的新型方式转变。

本文主要阐述了利用牛津新教材特点,从培养习惯、学习策略、开展活动等几方面,使学生有条理、有规律地学习,从而调动学生学习英语的积极性。

词汇教学挑选培养习惯词汇网络活动词汇是语言的基本单位,是进行思维和交际的重要元素。

语言学家在总结词汇学习的重要性时说到没有语法就只能传递有限的信息,没有词汇则什么也传达不了。

事实上,在教学实践中,我们也经常会发现影响学生解题的重要因素就是词汇,词汇量小在一定程度上阻碍了学生英语运用能力的提高。

所以,笔者认为词汇教学在中学英语教学中具有举足轻重的地位。

但是,根据平时的教学观察,笔者发现学生普遍学习单词靠的是死记硬背,不仅学习效率低,而且学得枯燥乏味,兴趣全无。

所以就经常有学生向笔者抱怨英语单词难记易忘,久而久之,就对词汇学习产生了畏惧和厌倦心理,进而导致放弃英语学习。

作为一名英语教学工作者,在新课程改革的大背景下如何利用牛津高中英语教材词汇教学有效地进行词汇教学,将直接影响到学生真正理解和掌握英语,能否切实有效地运用英语进行交际。

为此,笔者拟就本文谈谈词汇教学的几点具体做法。

一、遵循标准,精挑细选进行词汇教学现行牛津版高中英语新教材的特点之一就是三多——语篇多、任务多、词汇多。

每一单元除近70个基本词汇外,还有许多在、、等任务中的说明、语篇中的新增词汇。

要想把如此之丰富的词汇统统教给学生是不切实际,也是不可能的。

这样,英语教师就应根据《英语课程标准》要求,结合本校本班学生的实际能力,对新增词汇进行筛选。

依据《标准》,高频率使用、实用性强、易学易掌握、学生感兴趣的单词可作为首选对象教给学生。

比如,,,,等这些常见、常用、简单易学的就可以如基础词汇般处理并教授给学生;反之,,,,等生僻词汇则只需学生在课文具体语境中能知晓语义,无须识记。

如此一来就避免了学生面对新教材众多词汇时的茫然与手足无措,也为学习节约了时间。
