骨龄评定与预测身高骨龄是什么？青少年儿童在生长发育过程中，生长发育和成熟的进程不一定和他的生活年龄完全一致，即每个人都有两种年龄：生活年龄和生物年龄。
生活年龄：也叫日历年龄，是由出生年月日决定的，即每365天增加一岁。
生物年龄：是表示人的生长发育、成熟、衰老程度的标志。
在青少年儿童阶段，通常把生物年龄看成生长发育的程度。
发育程度（生物年龄）的评定，一般采用评定手腕骨骨龄的方法。
1987年起国家体育总局组织专家经过多年研究，制定了《中国人手腕骨发育标准CHN法》（简称《CHN法》）。
1992年被批准为中华人民共和国行业标准正式公布实施。
发育速度有时是不均匀的，一个人在365天内生物年龄不一定就是增加一岁。
有时增加一岁，有时会也增加一岁半甚至两岁多，有时又可能增加不足一岁。
进行发育评定时，习惯上将：生物年龄（骨龄）减生活年龄的差值在±1岁以内的称为发育正常。
生物年龄（骨龄）减生活年龄的差值>1岁的称为发育提前（简称：早熟）。
生物年龄（骨龄）减生活年龄的差值<－1岁的称为发育落后（简称：晚熟）。
例如：2001年4月5日出生的儿童，到2011年4月5日是整10岁，如果他的骨龄只有8.9岁，就评定为发育落后，如果他的骨龄为11.5岁就是发育提，前如果他的骨龄在9～11岁之间都是发育正常。
每一个人在生长发育过程中，受遗传、营养、体育锻炼、疾病等等因素的影响，发育的速度并不一定和日历年龄完全一致。
有的人发育提前，生物年龄会大于生活年龄。
也有的人生物年龄小于生活年龄。
但是，绝大多数人生物年龄与生活年龄是大体相符的。
1988年全国调查了2万多0~19岁青少年儿童。
平均差值仅为0.13岁。
在青少年儿童的生长发育阶段，评定他们的发育程度，对于促进青少年儿童健康成长，具有重要的意义。
预测身高：在青少年儿童阶段预测成年后的身高，除了对选拔运动员、挑选演员等有重要的意义外，在青少年体质评定中也有重要意义。

关于骨龄
骨龄即是各年龄时的骨成熟度。 正常情况下，骨龄与实际年龄的差别应在± 1 岁之间，落后或超前过多即为异常。 提前：骨龄比生活年龄大1岁以上； 延迟：骨龄比生活年龄小1岁以上； 正常：骨龄与生活年龄相差不超过1岁。

骨龄是发育年龄的简称，它是以小儿骨骼实际发育程度同标准发育程度相比，所求得的一个发育年龄，它是确定骨成熟的指标。
骨龄是反映人体成熟程度的最有用指标，骨龄相对于实际年龄的提前或落后能决定儿童的生长未来，对成年的身高有重要影响。
一些全身性疾病、代谢性疾病、染色体异常等均有可能影响骨龄的变化。
所以要定期测定儿童的骨龄以了解其实际发育水平。
判断骨龄主要利用X线摄片。
一般以手腕部最为理想。
这里集中了大量的长骨、短骨和圆骨，集中反映了全身骨骼生长和成熟状况，而且投照方法简便，对人体的损害也最小。
判断骨骼钙化程度主要看三点：①骨化中心的数目和大小；②骨化中心和骨骺的形态变化；③骨骺和骨干的愈合情况。
利用骨龄推断的发育情况，从而反映身体生长发育的状态，有助于了解儿童身高发育的潜力。
另外，骨龄在矮身材疾病的诊断鉴别诊断和疗效观察中有着重要作用，也指导着医生怎样用药，如何治疗。
通过对儿童骨龄及目前身高的检测可以预测未来身高的趋势，有利于家长早期发现矮身材及代谢性疾病，尽早进行干预和治疗，从而提升最终身高。
