1.2数字光发射机的功能电端机输出的数字基带电信号转换为光信号；用耦合技术注入光纤线路；用数字电信号对光源进行调制：调制分为直接调制和外调制两种方式。

2 光调制原理2.1.光调制作用把随发送数据变化的电信号加到光上去，使光随数据的变化而以一定规律变化，这一过程就叫做光的调制。

2.2 光调制方式分类2.2.1 按照光源与调制信号的关系分类根据光源与调制信号的关系，可以将光源的调制方式分为直接（或内部）调制方式和间接(或外部)调制方式。
2.2.2直接调制基本概念及调制原理直接调制就是将调制信号（电信号）直接施加在光源上，使其输出的光载波信号的强度随调制信号的变化而变化，又称为内调制。
