Buildings were surrounded by many trees. Fashionable dressings were here and there. What I saw was really fresh. My college life began with fresh. Gradually, it turned to be colorful. During the first year in my college, I was the leader of Communist Youth League in my class. I attended meetings, made announcements and organized class activities. I learnt to shoulder my responsibility and unit my classmates. Besides, I was a member of Youth Volunteer Association. In my space time, I went to an old people’s home to visit the senior citizens. I organized a donation to help the poor children. I planted trees in Mount Qingxiu. I got no physical reward from these work, but I did make a contribution to help those who are in desperate need of care. Apart from this, I joined New Voice, an English association in School of Foreign Language, which provided a platform for English learners to make a speech, debate, free talking and so on. I benefited a lot from the activities. For one thing, I improved my spoken English; for another, I learnt to show myself in public. 我享受学校里的时间，那将会是我一生中最值得回忆的时光第四个：In my understanding, if we refer to an ideal college life as a formal western dinner, then a high GPA, that is, Grade Point Average, should be the main course, while an active part in activities, together with associations, means the appetizer. Some romances, of course, play the role as desserts. They are the 3 key elements for an ideal college life. Those, however, are not what college life is all about. As we all know, college is wildly different from middle school. It connects not only adolescence to adulthood, but also the ivory tower to the real society. Therefore, the ideal college life is that I become matured both physically and mentally, and that I obtain qualified academic knowledge and get well prepared for society at the same time. Under this circumstance, I never expect my college life to be too ideal, or you can call it too perfect. It is not realistic to make all things on my own way, with everyone liking me, winning the first prize all the time, and so on. Of course, I’d like to lead a carefree life. However, this does little good to my future. What really helps is hardships like failure, betrayal, and unjust treatment. Only after experiencing those can I know what society is like, and what life is like. To conclude my speech, I wanna say, some positive experiences are surely part of the ideal college life. They are not less necessary第五个：college lifeIt has been mostly one year since I graduated from senior middle school.Maybe having decided on a major I don't like at all is the most unwise decision I have ever made.If I were given another choice,I would choose English as my major.To be honest,I am not interested in Mechanical Engineering at all.Last semester,I failed to pass two examnations which have severe effect on my study,one is Math,the other being Mechanical Engineering.I was really distracted by that two months after final examnations.Admittedly,I didn't work hard at my courses at all last semster,I learned almost nothing concerning my study.This is why I failed in two examnations.The examnations were not very difficult because most of my classmates passed them all.I was really depressed by my failure.Fortunately,The situation I have suffered from is turning around.I know,it is critical for me to find interests in study.As far as I am concerned,life in college is sometimes extremely boring.It is common that I feel empty,especially when my friends aren't with me.If English and basketball are excepted from my colloge life,then I won't be able to find things that can interest me.I sincerely hope that my college life will be more colorful!第六个：My university life is better than expected,It is universally acknowledged that when a freshman walk into a big, fascinating but complicated campus, what impresses him most will be the atmosphere of freedom and the "abuse", which will teach you a lesson before you really adapt to the life of university.After years of frustration with heavy homework and education which mostly gives us skill of exam more than knowledge itself, I sat down and imagined how my college life would be this summer vacation. In my opinion, compared with universities in HK, universities here is less active , full of awkward political education, and provide too much leisure time in which laziness is born. In a word, it will be boring, if it fits my idea.However, life tends to be more and more different from expected, as I feel myself absorbed into the campus little by little. Every day when I pass by the door of dormitory I notice tens of posts that contains information of activities of miscellaneous groups or interesting lectures which widen our horizon, just like the lively and colorful world below the calm surface of the Pacific Ocean. When it comes to my major, mathematics, I am very willing to devote much time to having lessons, doing proper homework, going to libraries to check more details other than textbooks or debating problems through MSN with other friends who share the same interest. It is fabulous when a man spend much time on his favorite habit without concerning his financial problems. He will sink into the sea of it and be unwilling to float on the real life again. Besides, the Chinese course and History course are so philosophical that I would feel rather sorry if I miss one of the classes.。
