二、教学目标1、知识目标：学生学习掌握词汇和词组bamboo，research，keeper，awake，excitement，walk into，fall over，illness，remaining，wild，government，endangered等。
2、能力目标：本节课我着重培养学生读的能力：速读，浏览，精读和任务型阅读能力，还包括语言表达能力，合作能力，沟通能力等。
3、情感目标：通过了解大熊猫的生存状态，唤起学生的爱心，进而意识到保护野生动物和保护生态环境是每个人的责任。
4、学习策略：本节课主要通过大量的小组活动，让学生理解文章大意。
通过归纳总结和练习的方式，进一步提高学生听说读写综合素质能力。
三、教学重难点1、教学重点：掌握本节课词汇和词组2、教学难点：总结文章大意，对保护熊猫的讨论。
四、教学手段本课我采用任务型教学法，同时辅助多媒体教学。
用音乐，视频，图片使抽象的语言变得直观。
五、教学过程设计Step 1 Warming up1、Check the preview(words and sentences).让初步学生了解本课重点的的短语和句子。
2、Free talk: 谈谈动物。
给学生提供一些形容词的最高级和一些动物名称，让他们谈谈动物。
例如：I like ______ best, because they are the ______ animals. I often go to see them. I don’t like _____ best, because they are the ______ animals.设计意图：让学生复习形容词最高级，达到熟练运用最高级的目的。
Step 2 Presentation1、播放关于一些熊猫视频，让学生运用2a中所提供的词汇和词组谈论熊猫。
设计意图：用视频导入，引起学生的注意，激起他们的兴趣，让课堂更生动，并自然进入2a环节。
2、T: Do you like pandas? Why? Today we are going to learn more about pandas.Step 3 Reading1、让学生快速浏览文章，说说文章的大概意思，同时找出10,12,300,2,000.的意思，找出它们所在的句子。
2、学生精读一遍文章，然后回答2c的问题。
把学生分成四大组，让他们合作阅读，探讨答案，看看哪个组回答的最好，最完整。
3、学生再精读文章，同样把学生分成四大组，每一组阅读一段文章，通过小组的努力发现一些重要的知识点。
设计意图：通过小组合作学习，增强学生的合作意识，培养团队精神。
4、教师给予知识点的补充，利用幻灯片展示课文出现的新单词和词组，进行解释和教授。

请每个组派一位同学做代表，复述课文。

由于我们班的学生学习英语的程度参差不齐，学习环境、学习风气、学习兴趣以及学习积极性都不尽相同，加上本班学生的学习基础一般，学习兴趣不高，学习习惯稍差，两级分化严重。
因此在保证学优生能“吃得饱、吃得好”的同时，努力降低学困生的要求，促使学困生的英语学习兴趣的提高，以此缩小英语学习的两极分化。
所以，如何在提高学生学习兴趣的同时，让学生积极的参与学习活动，自觉地学习和掌握知识是这堂课的设计难点。

也正因为此，在设计这节课时我颇费了一些心思。
总的来说，这节课还算成功，学生表现虽不尽人意，但也还可以。
首先，2a让学生自己组织语言说一说熊猫。
2b要求学生运用寻读法（scanning）快速查找每个数字所表达的意义。
其次，2b要求学生运用寻读法（scanning）快速查找每个数字所表达的意义。
第三，2c的读后活动让学生再次运用寻读法找出问题的答案。
第四，2d将相关句子补充完整。
最后，2e一个开放型的问题，启发学生思考。

关于达标测评，我采取了口答的形式让学生造句，结果出人意料。
前4个时态填空正确率非常高。
翻译句子句型准确，口语流利，有些是课文中出现过的，还有的是联系实际自己创作的句子，涉及面丰富多彩，但学生表现非常棒。
所以我认为在适当的时候相信学生的个人能力不仅对学生的个性发展有利，，而且也为我们的课堂教学注入了新的生机。
